I had to replace the storm door less than 2 years later, 4-5 pieces of my siding have dropped off the house over the same span of time. They claim that the siding was not under warranty and that the siding could not be covered. They have come back several times to reinstall the pieces of siding that have dropped off. They wanted to charge me $270 to fix the siding on the most recent occurrence. I have had to call them several times regarding the poor work they did for me, and they are not cooperating with my complaints or my dissatisfaction. I have a warranty for the work and provided a copy to Angie's List.

The experience overall was good! There was some question as to how the gutter would be mounted. They told me they were going to do it one way, then did it another. But before they were done they fixed the mistake. Their work was good.

We called CD Kaller to have an estimate completed for our slate roof in need of repair. I originally contacted CD Kaller and was called back within a week to set up an appointment. Joe met us a week later and said he would mail the estimate within four days. It's been almost four weeks and no sign of an estimate. We called multiple times. An estimate was promised verbally. But, we've received nothing. It's disappointing that the company wasn't honest about the disinterest in completing the job.

They were very responsive from the beginning. They were very clear about the pricing and the bill was in line with their estimate. I appreciated their knowledge and their professionalism. The work was completed on schedule.

They did very good work but I had one complaint. I kept finding these long roofing nails in my drive way. I was very satisfied with the work. I would use them again. They were good about leaving samples for me to look over.

Everything was fine. They came when they said they would. They did a good job. They left no mess and disposed the old roof. They did what they were supposed to do and left.

After a late start, the job was completed on time and in budget.

It went well, but slower than expected.

From the invasive and inappropriate sale process, right up the numerous delays, no shows and no calls, this was been one of the worst experiences we've had with a contracting company. Communication was 80% us calling the company and 20% them not getting back to us. Workmanship was shoddy, incomplete and installed incorrectly. You need to be on them like hawks and they still stare at you when you point out the issues, like it was "meant to be like that". They are the #1 rated company on Angie's List and that's why we selected them. However, they are also three times as expensive as other competitors. The advertised 15% discount on a 30 day sign via the site was not honored. Ed the sales turd, told us we were getting "the best deal possible" (feel free to roll your eyes, like we did). I should also say that when it came to making sure we were billed and charged, that was done quickly and efficiently. We've both ran out of patience and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

They were excellent in terms of the initial estimate. After the job was completed, they did leave a little debris but, they got the entire job done in one day which was great. I would use them again.

It went well, but took longer than we thought. It was still complete before summer's end.

I hired another company for the work.

Estimator was very nice, but a couple of improper. comments (e.g. "just don't go with [competitors], you will be sorry." He seemed thorough, but did not go up on the roof. He gave us quote on the spot. We had not mentioned Angie's List coupon yet. We took 2-3 weeks to make decision (had 4 estimates $15-22K for sim. work). When we decided, they told us to file for permit (we knew was extra) and once it came job would be sched. Work started within 3-4 days of request for permit; we had not received it yet. There was a huge mess on the 1st day, and the workers told us they had to leave for an emergency, then 1 was overheard discussing how they could not leave this mess. Call to the office & crew returned to cleanup (though huge tarp covered pile left over it violates permit). We asked about coupon 3 times, with no response, the were told was included in estimate. Document they showed was dated 3 weeks after estimate we recd. We never got any discount. Window broken took 3 weeks to repair.

Overall it was a great experience. Edward Cassar came out to our house, looked at our roof and spent over an hour with us discussing our options. He then sent a us a very professional quote that explained everything they planned to do plus what would happen if something came up. It took them a little while to schedule a date to perform the work. But once they committed to a date they kept it. On the scheduled day it rained and they called me first thing in the morning to tell me they would not be doing the roof that day, but would be there on the following day. On the next day they showed up early to perform the work, they maybe took 10 minutes before they were working on the roof. They estimated it might take them 2 days to perform the work depending what they ran into on the roof, it took actually only 1 day. They came back the second day to clean up. They did not ask for final payment until I was satisfied with the total job including the clean up.

I found CD Kaller to be professional, knowledgeable and I was impressed that the team was well supervised. They also did a wonderful job of cleaning up after the job was done.

The company stated upon signing the contract that they would begin with 5 business days. Unfortunately, the actual job did not begin on time. The entire process took one month to complete from the beginning of signing the contract until the job was finished. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of work performed and their cleanliness.

I was glad I found them I spoke to a lot of roofers that do not do tin roofs. It really looks great with our home. They are not cheap but they will last the lifetime of your home, so it's a good investment. The work was professionally done. It was hassle free from start to finish. I would use them again and tell others to do so also.

Skip, the estimator, was very responsive and did a great job of letting me know my options. The project had to be expanded after photos revealed greater than anticipated damage to the roof. The job was done quickly, one day, and the clean-up was thorough. I had to have someone return to look at one thing and while it took longer than it should have for follow-up, when the contractor came, he was polite and professional. It's tough to gauge overall quality but I am trusting that the work was well done. My biggest issue was with the office staff. On the afternoon the work was completed, they called me four times for payment. (Twice at home and twice on my cell.) This was really excessive. When I provided payment (that afternoon)I was told I would receive a receipt and a written warranty. It took two phone calls and six weeks to receive a receipt. I have not yet received the warranty.

My roof is fine now but I did have some difficulty with the new roof. My old roofed leaked and when they finished installing the new roof it leaked in a new place. They came out to fix it one time but it still leaked. They insisted that it was fixed. I did have a hard time getting them to come back out for the third try. We are fine now but I felt the communication was not the best.

Overall the job went well, if not expanding well beyond the original budget. The response rate for roofing questions, finish work took awhile, but was addressed as needed, minus some minor finish work that I am still waiting for (painting of back roof and a minor leak). I felt as though some of the time and material were excessive and sometimes surprising. There were a few instances where the sales person quoted me a price only for that to be inflated with extra materials charges, etc. I'm not sure is this is standard process, but in the future, I want a flat rate on all work of this nature. It make it nearly impossible to budget. The materials used were very high quality, however, and the workers were very nice and conscientious.

CD Kaller handled the situation unprofessionally. I had to negotiate with them to use my electrician. I also let them know that I would not be filing a claim with my insurance provider, since it was a result of their project that caused the fire in the first place. Had they called the fire department at the time of the incident and offered to remove the cost for any fire/smoke damage from the bill, I would have been a satisfied customer. Unfortunately, I had to negotiate with them for more than a month. Ultimately, paying them for the work delivered minus the damage costs.

The only problem was, that when I signed the contract, they said it would be done in 5 business days, and it ended up taking almost a month. I would have been OK with them telling me that it would take a while, but they told me it was due to a special order that my job was taking so long. I was pleased with the work. They cleaned up well, and the installation was done well and for a good price.

Ed was courteous and fit me into his schedule pretty quickly. He was informative and steered me away from a particular roofing option (white elastomeric) I was interested in, as he thought it was not the right option for my roof, and that in fact my roof was in good condition as-is.

He was honest and did a good job. Cleaned up afterwards.

Joe Magro came out to look at my flat roof on Dec. 7, 2006, and spent some time with me. Promised me an estimate by Dec. 12 - I never got it. I called on Dec. 22, and he promised me I'd have it by Dec. 27. I'm still waiting to hear from him... A waste of my time.
