Questioning if they are still in business. I have left 10 voicemails for service on the office line and not one callback. They did a nice job on the replacement roof 6 years ago but if they are still in business, disappointing lack of service. Anybody know if they shutdown post COVID

They did a good job. We were satisfied. Everything was done without any problems.

This company was responsive until my new roof was on. Once I began reaching out because it was leaking, no one would call back and ultimately, it took dozens of calls for them to come out and attempt a fix. Two attempts - and tons of calls in between - later and the roof still leaks. Spend your money on a roofer that actually does a good job, stands behind their work, and cares about their customers.

The crew came when they said they would, did a good job, and cleaned up well.

Never showed up or returned calls unless we called them

Two months later dripping returned. Since work was under warranty I called. I continued to call for two years. They never sent anyone back out except one time when they thought I was calling to get a new roof. Then sent a salesman who quickly explained he couldn’t help me, but would finally get my message through. Never heard a word. Warranty period over now. I guess you win, Curt.

Contractor gave me an estimate for roofing, then never called or emailed me back. Unprofessional.

Like most, I’m always apprehensive hiring a contractor. C.D. Kaller was recommended by a friend. The installation was delayed due to an issue with the manufacturer, but the windows themselves were beautiful and the installation crew did a really amazing job. I couldn’t he happier!

Steer clear of CD Kaller. I hired them to replace a bubble skylight that was cracked. An estimate was provided for a custom skylight and curb flashing. Initially, they installed "custom" skylight. It was not the correct fit, @5 inches too wide and 2 inches too long. They packed it out with wood, installed no flashing, and it obviously leaked, a lot. After many calls and emails to CDK with no response, i did finally receive a call back after advising the next call would be from my attorney. I was told that the skylight was custom, correct and properly installed. All not true. They sent their crew to assess the issue, and they applied a silicone adhesive around parts of the skylight, and advised this would fix the issue. It did not fix the issue, and water continued to leak into the ceiling causing more water damage. After more calls and emails, Curt finally called me and told me he would come look at it. Within 2 hours, he called me to let me know that the correct skylight had been located and they will install it within 2 days. Again, remember I was told that the first skylight was the correct and custom skylight along with being properly installed, and magically the correct one appears in short time. They installed the correct skylight with j flashing that overlapped the existing curb flashing. I asked Curt to take some responsibility for the water damage, as it was all due to his work, and we agreed upon a price and he would send me a check. Well it's been close to a month, and I never received the check, and guess what....it still leaks. At this point, I am cutting my losses, and have found another company that has looked at his work and determined what needs to be done to stop the leaking. Unfortunately at an additional cost to me, as well as the repairs I need to make to the drywall, insulation, and repainting. Overall, CDK does not stand behind their work, admit to any mistakes, and is unresponsive to calls and emails, so I would not recommend doing any business with them.

Fri 2/9 salesperson came out to measure for estimate. Today is 3/1 and still no estimate. The last iIheard from him was Feb 15 indicating as window is above 4th floor it needs special glass and they were still working on the estimate. Pretty sad. If you don't want the job be honest and tell me. I have had two other companies provide estimates within a day of measuring. Even if Kaller came back with an estimate how could I trust their professionalism.

The crew was punctual, professional, and clearly cares about the quality of their work. Price was very competitive. We had some issues with slow communication with the office at times but ultimately the work was done as promised and I can't stress enough the high quality of the craftsmanship at a reasonable price. A good value.

Never answered 2 emails thru Angies list

It went well. They took off the old slate roofing and put on a new fake slate roof as per our request.

Quick quote and very quick turn around. We liked their suggestion of using cement siding in less conspicuous areas- it is insect free and will last longer. As a nature center, we also liked their idea of and reusing good condition cedar removed to replace damaged cedar in other spots- less waste and saved money! Clean up spotless. Only slight complaint was smoking by workers, though likely would have stopped or moved if asked. Note: Please do not fault contractor for mismatched color of siding- it has yet to be stained in photo.

I am a young architect and working with Curt on my home was very positive. I have worked with many contractors of all types and sizes and Curt is the exact type of contractor I was looking for for my property. He is very punctual and always available by phone. He worked with me throughout the project offering other ideas, products and thoughts to getting the overall projects needs that I wanted realized on my budget. His work is very detailed and professional while very reasonable in price. I have continued to do other work with him and his company throughout my home's slow remodel. I highly recommend him, he is very trustworthy and gets the job done right.

Called for appointment, called a second time and owner showed up. Quoted work in detail. Workers showed up after agreement of proposal. Work was completed within a few hours or so I thought. After reviewing the work to be performed and physically looking at the chimney, it was obvious that it was incomplete. Called CD Kaller and explained that work was not completed. They told me that someone would be out the next day. The next day came and went without anyone showing up. I called again and was rescheduled. Someone from CD Kaller eventually showed up later than the time scheduled. I reviewed the work with the foreman and after much back and forth he decided to call "the boss". Later he told me that he would complete the work as outlined in the proposal and make it look good. The bottom line is: after the initial work was done it looked like crap. I just wanted the chimney to look good and have the pointing filled in for a clean look. And it took multiple calls, missed appointments and multiple visits to get it to that point. I won't use CD Kaller for future work even though they have a good Angie's List rating. Maybe my simple $1000 job didn't rank, I don't know.

Update: It's only worse. My roof has continued to leak after their chimney repairs last year to abate previous leaking. I'm now spending a lot more with someone else to get this fully repaired. I've now received photos showing what the chimney looks like and it's so glaring that the money and time I spent on repairs last year with CDK was just a huge waste. CDK clearly did not even diagnose the problem correctly. Their sales person never went up to inspect the chimney/roof area before confidently writing up what work needed to be done. The story is so unnecessarily long. The salesman came out to my house mid-June. I had to follow up and got the quote 9 days later. Lots of follow up to get work start date and then they didn't come for another week after the day they told me. The workman, at the end of the working day, handed my friend at the house the bill for the balance, saying that more work needs to be done from what was written up and that the salesman would call me to discuss. I called them the next day, indicating I was leaving soon for vacation, and they said the salesman would call me back. I didn't hear back from them until I was headed to the airport 11 days later. They left messages essentially saying they did the work they were supposed to. After returning from vacation, I went through about four rounds with them asking what the story was with the further work, until I finally did speak directly with the salesman who didn't let me get a word in, saying they did what they were supposed to do, why am I not paying the balance?!?! and went so far as to tell me the issue was me. I hung up on him and wrote a letter to the owner, Curt Kaller, letting him know that not only was my job still in limbo for reasons I don't understand, but the salesman became unprofessional and hostile with me. Nobody got back to me so I called them three work days later. I continued to resolve things with the office people who would say they would tell me when someone was going out to the house, but I'd later learn people had gone out and nobody called me. There was one gutter to repair that was still leaky. They went out about four times to fix it. The last fix actually made it worse. I had no more strength to deal with them, paid, and have moved on. Beginning to end, for a relatively simple job, took nearly four months, countless calls and so much unnecessary aggravation. My mom had used them for years. Never again. My blood pressure goes up when I see their signs around the area.

It went well, they solved the problem. They helped me problem solve and get issue fixed completely thought they did a good job. He was really professional throughout the process.

So far it’s been okay. That’s going to be good in terms of getting the estimate, like getting some feedback on what needs to be done, actually I’d say that’s an A. He’s very good, he sent me a very detailed copy. Timeliness was maybe a little slow as things starts to move but generally everything was good. He’s very thorough in explaining the problem.

From the person who came out to look at my job, the folks in the office, and the installers who did the job, my project was handled with care. Everything promised was delivered and they went above and beyond what was expected. The job required a tear off with a lot of debris. They cleaned up every day and left my place spotless. I'm happy that I chose CD Kaller for my roof.

We took some roof damage from high winds in April, a few squares The insurance company tried to get us to accept a settlement to patch only the damaged area. These 30 year shingles were less than 20 years old and a patch would have looked out of place. Typical insurance adjuster ploy to not pay out claims. I called Curt as he did the original job, we were very satisfied at that time. He was very helpful getting me information to negotiate with the insurance adjuster and even spoke directly with him. It was after that conversation that the insurance company came across with a settlement to replace two slopes covering the entire rear of the house. Curt did the job at what I consider competitive cost. His crew was excellent: they were efficient, polite, took care not to damage the landscaping, did very good work and cleaned up thoroughly.

They're excellent! In the last 6 months, they've done roofing for me as well as interior drywall repairs. They also done window replacement for me in the past. Their customer service and the skill level of the team is excellent. Their pricing was highly competitive.

There was some misunderstanding. I think the misunderstanding was on my part. They came back and fixed what I thought was the problem. They did a good job. I highly recommend them.

Great! The estimator ,Brian returned my calls, scheduled appointments, and sent estimates to me in a timely manner. The work was thorough and professionally done by their crew. I hope that they will be doing more work for me in the future.
