C & C Family Roofing & Siding

The gentleman who cam to my house to survey and provide an estimate was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He helped me understand the work that was needed and discussed the different options in a way that allowed me to make an informed decision without being overbearing. His survey and write up were very detailed. When the team came to do the work they were likewise professional, courteous, and very careful. They took pains to insure the dumpster that was required did not damage the driveway. The work was done quickly and well, I was pleased with the results and have no complaints at all.

On the aluminum roof coating, they did an excellent job and they did it neatly and fabulously. They were to replace any missing shingles and there were some nails sticking up on the shingles of our garage roof, so they nailed it down, but they didn't go inside of the garage, and look up and check inside, and when I went inside and looked up, I could see there was still a hole that they needed to come out and replace it. They came out and replaced it and it didn't cost me anything for them to come out and do that as well. There was a guarantee at some point that within a certain time if it wasn't good or fixed well, they would do that as part of their guarantee. It was the fact that when I looked up I could see there was a hole that hadn't been fixed the first time, and I had to call them to get that fixed. They did that without any fuss. They did it graciously, but it was the fact that it wasn't done completely the first time. They went the extra mile, it's just that they didn't do it right the first time.

I reached out the C&C for a window leak. Someone came out to my house (on time)and told me exactly what was wrong and wrote up a contract a few days later. I emailed back with questions regarding the price of the window and the person retuned my call and said that he would come out again to take another look at the job. I never heard back from C&C again.

They were 2 hours late, showed up with none or the material that was to be used on the job. The supervisor gave me the run around when I had him come to the job to discuss the details of the contract...stating that the company NEVER breaks down an estimate...just gives a price for TOTAL job. Called my attorney...he said just get rid of them, find someone else, and to get at least 2 estimates. I did exactly that over the next two days...estimates of $2400. and $2200. were given for the exact same job, the job was completed today, Friday, March 11th, and came in under the estimate of $2200. from the company I used. Angie's List gave C and C a sterling rating with all kinds of accolades and because of that false sense of security, I foolishly did not get any other estimates. So, including the forfeited deposit of $1500., and the completed job for $2000., I still saved $1400. over what C and C would have charged me had I allowed them to continue. As a 71 year old woman, I feel that this company felt I was an "easy target"...I have posted the details of this shameful experience on the facebook page of a group I belong to in Media. I just over 2 hours, I have received over a dozen comments and thank you's regarding this injustice. I also listed the company I did use and stated that I have also contracted with them for additional work at my personal residence and art studio totaling more than that which was just completed at my rental property. I am also sharing this information on my facebook page since I would hate for any of my friends or their friends to experience this too.

We couldn't be more pleased with the work that C&C Family Roofing performed in replacing our roof. We asked Bill to come out to our house in June 2015 to inspect our roof and give us an estimate to replace it. Bill came out and did a great job in inspecting the roof and informing us on what our options were in terms of materials and warranties. Bill indicated that our roof was in good shape and we decided to hold off on replacing the roof at that time. After the new year, we decided to give C&C a call and see if our estimate was still good and if we could get on the schedule for the Spring of 2016. Bill called us and informed us that not only would C&C honor the quote, but could schedule the work right away. The work was originally was scheduled for the week of January 25th, but as some may remember the Blizzard of 2016 was also scheduled for the weekend before that. Based on that information, C&C rescheduled to have a large crew on site on Thursday, January 21st. Bill took care of getting the necessary permits and made sure that everything was set up and ready to go. The crew arrived on time and immediately went to work. The crew was clearly experienced and knew exactly what to do and how to do it. We were very impressed with their attention to detail and care taken in removing the old roof and making sure to eliminate damage to the house and the yard. The installation of the new roof took ONE DAY! Not only did they complete the roof installation but also all of the cleanup. Bill was very attentive to us and his crew and remained in contact with both throughout the day to make sure that everything went well. We would highly recommend using C&C Family Roofing for any roofing project.

Called and received a quote to replace a few windows and to put a new roof on my home. The quote process went well and we decided to move forward with the job after a phone call with the salesperson. The windows were measured and I was told that the windows would take 6-8 weeks to be made and that I would receive call when the windows had arrived. When I asked if I should leave a deposit I was told that I shouldnt worry about it and I could pay when the job would be started (I even questioned why a deposit would not be required but was told that it was ok... Strange) After not hearing anything for 8 weeks I decided to call and check on the status of my job. At this point I was told that they decided that they were not going to be doing the job and the order was never placed for the windows. Why wouldn't you let the homeowner know this bit of information?They stated that the reason that they decided to not do the job was because i tried to hire the measurement guy on the side. This was absolutely not true. During the measurement process the guy measuring noticed that a door frame had some rot and would need to be replaced. I asked how much that would cost and he said that he'd have to let me know. That was the extent of that conversation. I would highly recommend that anyone considering C and C think otherwise. This was a huge waste of time and a horrible experience.

The initial quote process was smooth. No high-pressure sales tactics, and price wasn't the lowest we received but we went with the company based on the positive Angie's List reviews. Sent our deposit in and we didn't hear from anyone, but our check was cashed on a Friday. I called the company twice before receiving a call from the manager the following Monday that the project would start Wednesday. The crew arrived around 7:00 and seemed to be on the ball. Fascia and soffits were completed that day; I assumed gutters would happen the following day. Wrong. By the end of the week, we had received a bill for completed work but there was still a hole in our siding and no gutters. I also expected the entirety of the capping to be the same material; the fascia lining the pitch of our roof on either side and the back of the house are made from a different material than that on the front of the house, and that material was sticking out and looked sloppy. I relayed this to the company and had to call multiple times before getting an answer. Gutters went on Wednesday, a week after the project started. We still had the issues with the fascia and a hole in our siding, I was told it would be fixed by the end of the week. Friday rolled around, then Monday, and the work still wasn't done. I called Monday evening (after we got *another* invoice for final payment), very unhappy, and got a call back Tuesday morning with an apology and was told someone would be there that day. The service manager was at my house that day and someone fixed the issue by adding a nail where the seams stuck out--if I had realized that was going to be the solution I could have done it myself! Here we are, two weeks after this should have been done, and I still have a hole in my siding, and the part of the project that has actually been finished is not what I was expecting or hoping for. **Update: work was completed on 11/20, after I again reached out to find out when the project would be finished and after I posted my review.

Pros: Quick response after 1st call. Quote is honest. No force sale tactics. Communication is clear. No hidden fee. work scheduled in 2 weeks after down payment is made. Workers are polite and professional. work done in 3 days after start. minimal impact on driveway & lawn. clean up nicely. Finish product looks nicely overall. Industry standard warranty. Long term quality yet to be seen over the years. Cons: Hope the down payment could be minimized like some other companies.

Highly recommended. Signed the contract on Monday, job completed Wed afternoon; 11 square roof. Crew started the single layer rip off at 7:30, done with the new roof at 1:15. Flashing around chimney very nice. Clean up very good. Rained fairly hard several days later, didn?t notice any leaks. Price was in line with other estimates. Very happy so far.

I had 3 holes in my EPDM Roof. They came out, took pics, gave me an estimate and then fixed the problem the same day. We had a storm coming in that weekend so it was a huge help and saved me a lot of money in the long run. C&C was the only company to even call me back out of 10+ I called on Angies List.

They did a really great job on both jobs. I was very satisfied. I would use them again.

I hired them because they are supposed to be siding experts. It was supposed to be a simple job but the installer damaged the aluminum siding and put the doors back on incorrectly. The service manager came out and fixed the doors and trim but they said the siding was permanently damaged. They tried to bend it back. They painted it the wrong color. After several trips out with problem still unresolved the office called several times with tghreats. demanding payment. Owner would not return phone calls.

Great. They were on time and very efficient. The crew was self-sufficient and Bill came by to check and checked with us every day to be sure all was going well. If I could not get Bill himself I called the office and the office women were also great. Can't say enough about the quality of the work and Bill's interest in doing a good job. I would recommend this company to anyone. Originally I had gotten six estimates, all from Angie's List. The estimate from C&C was right in the middle, but it was Bill and his explanation of things and attitude that clinched the decision for us.

Chris came out to give me an estimate, really liked dealing with him. Chris was professional and helpful. The work was great and they had it done in the time frame they said they would. Cleaned up perfectly when they were done. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We called C&C for an estimate and Dawn from the office called back within a day to schedule Chris to come out and give us an estimate. He came out, took photos of the damage to our roof and pointed out some areas of leakage that we were unaware of. He gave us three "levels" of roofing and warranty and outlined the advantages and disadvantages of each. They also gave us an address list of other jobs that they had done locally so we could see the actually roofing products on a house. Once we decided on them they set up a date promptly and did the roof in 2-3 days. The workers were extremely careful not to damage our deck or plantings around the house. Chris gave us updates by email and phone when some new damage to the roof boards was found that he didn't fully anticipate in his estimate (had given us a possibility that we might need some of these replaced so it wasn't a total surprise). When the job was done they thoroughly cleaned up the site (only found a single nail left behind). When I asked him about one area that looked (aesthetically) "off" to me, he had someone come within a day to fix it to my satisfaction. Would recommend this company to anyone in need of a new roof.

The communication with this company has been horrible and time consuming. After getting an estimate, I sent an email saying I would like to proceed with the work and asked what to do next. After four days with no response, I sent a follow up email. I received a reply and was told to send a check for a deposit and then someone would call me to set up a date for the work to be done. I promptly sent a check and waited for a call. Two days after my check was cashed, I still hadn't received a call so I sent an email asking when I would get a call. I waited five days and did not get a response so I sent another follow up email. Someone replied and said the man (Bruce) had been calling my mom's phone number. My mom told me she never received any calls. They came two days later and tore off the old roof and replaced it. When they looked like they were finishing up, my mom asked about the additional work that needed to be done and worker said they were finished with the job. I figured the worker didn't know there was more work to be done, or maybe another group of workers was doing the second part of the job. No one showed up or called the next four days, so on the fifth day I called Bruce and asked him about the remaining work. He said he didn't forget and they would be out that week or the next. That was July 20th. No one came or called the week of July 20th, or the following week of July 27th. So, last Friday, 8/31, I called the office and was told Bruce was in a meeting and would call me back. Nothing yet. The whole experience has been very disappointing and very aggravating.

Despite the extreme heat, they completed the job in one day. There were many rotted pieces of wood under the shingles which they replaced (the reason why the kitchen was leaking from the inside). Professional and hard-working. Good work.

They were just trying to replace the whole roof. I asked for an estimate to put piece of metal on the roof and they gave a price was $700 or $800. But we had it done around $200. They promised to send pictures from roof but they never did.

John was the Project Manager I met, who was a really pleasure to work with. Was very consultative about making the decision to replace vs to repair, in which I decided on replacing the roof instead. Unlike other roofers I received estimates from, who were only interested in replacing the roof, John never pushed me one way or the other. His team completed the job in 1 day and were very professional in their clean up. Pricing was much better than other estimates I received, without sacrificing quality. I would definitely use John and his team again for any roofing needs I would have.

Very good experience overall. Sales process was pleasant and simple, options were clear and to the point. On service, the foreman was terrific with my wife and family and the crew left the surrounding area as clean as they found it. I would not only recommend them here - but have already recommend them to my friends not on on this list. Thanks to all at the company.

Requested estimate to replace 5 foot piece of gutter with gutter guard due to inability to accommodate water flow from roof resulting in overflow. I was given a quote of $500.00.I was told I needed a larger, 6 inch gutter as well as a new downspout. I thought this quote was quite excessive knowing the cost of gutters and downspouts. I contacted another highly rated gutter company from Angies list. The quote for the same job- installation of new gutter with gutter guard and downspout was $300 cheaper with guarantee to replace if problem persists.

I called to get an updated quote. SAid he'd get back to me but he never did. Never got the updated quote. I moved on after they didn't get back to me the second time.

After having FOUR different contractors out to fix our leaky roof, I called C&C. The gentleman from C&C had a completely different opinion on why the roof was leaking than the other contractors did, and the price was much less then I expected. After giving an estimate, a crew came out, fixed the roof (which is NOT leaking now, even after some heavy rain) replaced missing shingles, and chalked a window. I respect them completely, as they did not try to upsell me on getting a new roof (like the some of the others did). They told me that the roof has another five years left and to call them then. I most certainly will! I would recommend them to anyone.

I called C&C in response to a coupon they had sent to area residents. The "Gutter Cleaning Special" included up to 100 linear feet for an advertised price of $125.00. The mediocre rating here is based on two things: (a) they changed the charge from what was advertised once their representative was on site, and (b) the representative who did the work showed little regard for his customer's schedule/availability. I ended up paying $150.00 rather than the advertised $125.00 because (as the representative explained it) he had to get up on a ladder. There was a $25.00 premium for using the ladder, confirmed when I called their office to question the additional charge. My linear footage fell well within the 100 linear foot maximum. There was no mention of possible additional charges in their coupon. He was here a short time. My roof is not unusually high. Does anyone clean gutters without ladders? Doubtful. In addition, I had been told when I initially contacted C&C to schedule that the representative would call me sometime during the week to arrange a day and time in advance. He did not do that. He called mid-morning when he "was on his way over" . . . meaning now. When he was told that the house was unavailable on such short notice, it led to a civil but spirited discussion. I wanted to be there in order to ask a few questions and observe the project. He finally agreed to come at 3:00 p.m. on the same day. Without notice, he arrived early at approximately 2:30 p.m. without calling first and rang the doorbell repeatedly. I have never used C&C before. All I can judge is this small project. Are my gutters clean? Looks like it. Would I use them again? No. Caveat emptor.

They were very good. They did a good job and they cleaned up well. The roofing job was great.
