C & C Family Roofing & Siding

The C & C salesmen were prompt, professional and responsive to emails and phone calls. I received bids from several roofers and the C&C price was in the middle of the pack. A few bids were much higher. A few were just about the same price and a few were a little less. The fact that neighbors had C & C install their roof about six months earlier and they were satisfied helped sway my decision. The start date was delayed a bit because of bad weather but the crew worked on a Saturday to get the job done before cold weather set in. English was not the first language for the crew but we had no problem communicating and they were very hard workers.

Great overall experience - will definitely use C&C in the future. Original appointment was 11/28. Received a call that morning that appt had to be rescheduled. Called the next day and got the job done. The gutters look great and they did a good job cleaning up around the perimiter.

Work was done promptly and to a high standard. They had the best price by far of all the estimates I received.

Every thing went well. 4 workers showed up early and went right to work. They worked hard and all day and got the roof done in 1 day. I inspected the work and was impressed with their craftsmanship. They actually did a better job than the old original roof. They cleaned up as they worked and left the grounds around the house clean.

They were on time, worked very hard and long in intense heat. Cleaned up nicely and were in general very proffessional. I had a few things I thought might be a problem addressed quickly by the supervisor. The roof had a real test with Irene and the remnants of Lee and it held up perfectly, and no leaks.

The manager Chris Weselovs came out first to talk about the job. He took the time to explain the job. The workers came over and were neat, clean, and professional. They are always prompt. The workers were quiet and respectful. They cleaned up so well that you couldn't even tell that they had been here. They were careful with my plants and other property. I have had them out to my house before to install gutters and siding. I am very impressed with the company. I tell everyone that will listen about how wonderful they are. I cannot complement them enough

This was on an 80-yr old house, and at that point it seemed like every time we had work done there was a surprise that cost more money. When I spoke to a manger at C&C about the issue, I fully expected them to tell me that they could fix it, but it would cost more. Instead, they said that since they couldn't be sure if it was like that when they got there, or if it had happened during the work, they would fix the problem for no additional cost. They came back out the next day and had to remove and replace the entire area of roof around the vent pipe to access it and repair it. knowing that this company will stand by their price, and address any issues that arise with integrity has made me a customer for life.

C&C Roofing & Siding are Master Elite Carpenters as recommended on the GAF (major shingle manufacturer/supplier in the NorthEast) website. We found them very quick to respond to our request for a bid. Chis, who handled our bid and scheduling was very knowledgeable and the bid was very detailed and specific, itemizing each and every type of material they would be using. The workmanship warranty was clearly spelled out in the bid. When we signed our bid, as soon as all ordered materials had arrived; scheduling was prompt and they were very considerate about scheduling it at our convenience. The team worked extremely hard, completed the job in one day (despite extreme heat) and the finished product is just beautiful. Our new roof makes our whole house look brand new!

I have nothing to report because I never received a proposal -estimate. May he considered the job too small and if so - should have said that - that they weren't interested

They came back the second time pretty fast within a week or two to secure the gutter guards with more screws. The last person we had come here to do work was the first one who completed the job. So they came back and completed the job. My husband actually went over the internet and he’s certified now to install gutters. He took the course and completed it, but it wasn’t much of a course. We had a very happy rain and everything worked fine. The workers were fine. They were very nice. They actually showed us something that should have been done by the window man. So when the window man came in to fix the one window, he also completed some caulking that he should have done. The overall experience was fine. One gutter was a little loose and my husband had to push it down because they were not screwed in the way they should have been screwed in. They did come back and fix it pretty soon which is within a couple of days. I didn’t handle the price part. My husband did that. They weren’t the lowest though. The quality looks fine. They were fine. We would use their services again in the future.

$1200 later and now winter when it couldn't be worked on, the leak was showing up again. When I called them they said the problem was with the chimney and it needed pointing but they didn't do that, I would have to find someone else who repaired chimneys. I did and was told that the bricks were so porous that they were holding water and soaking through the plaster. It was suggested that I stucco over the bricks (another $1500) and that would solve the problem and after years of spending money on a recurring problem, I now no longer have a leak. C&C did not stand by their guarantee that it would solve the problem. I also arrived at my house not knowing they would be there, their truck had pulled up on my newly sodded grass creating a crevice in the lawn. They apologized and said they would correct the gutter slant on my porch for free as compensation for the damage to the lawn and never showed up to do that. All in all I was left feeling ripped off. They recommended a service they could do (oh by the way they didn't put the cricket in) without considering that the problem was being caused by something that needed a different service. So they got their money and I was left $1200 short and a huge mess and more expense. I did not belong to Angie's list back then and I am now left wondering how they could have A rating . This would not have helped me a year and a half ago.

C&C was fantastic and very responsive, from the salesman (Bart) to the two-man crew who did the work (Mark & Roman). Their price was competitive (I had 4 estimates), they were friendly, clean, hard-working...and the finished product looks great. Based on my experience I would recommend them without hesitation.

It turned out that it is not with my roof; it is with my neighbor's roof. He provided me a verbal estimate and he is going to provide me with a written estimate. I don't know how it is going to turn out because I'm not paying for my neighbor's roof. The experience was fine. I set it up ahead of time. They called to confirm a day ahead. They set it up for about two weeks out. They gave me a 3-hour timeframe and they came out within about one hour in. His name was Dennis and he was very nice. He got right up on the roof and it is not an easy roof to get on. He saw what the situation was and asked me to come outside so he could sort of show me what the issue was and where it was coming from. He gave me some suggestions for dealing with it because it is difficult to tell your neighbor that they need a new roof. He did a very good job of explaining exactly what the problem was. I'm hoping to use him for this job.

The estimator/project manager was nice and went over things as expected. The work was completed on time and quickly and was well done. My complaints would be that the project manager never showed his face during the installation. He said he knocked on my door, but I'm hesitant to believe him. The other issue, and this may be a little shallow but it was frustrating at time is that only one of the guys working on the roof spoke English. While he was very nice and the other guys seemed nice as well, it was hard to communicate with some of the other guys when the translator wasn't around.

It's a family owned business and they have their own people. They were very punctual and professional. One man came and he was one of their family members. He did a very professional job. He was very friendly. He was open about everything we talked. I would use them in the future.

It was to my specifications. It was just what I wanted. It was timely. They also added some things that I didn't ask for. He made sure my gutters were good, just some things that I didn't see. They were really nice.

I was very pleased with C&C's entire job. Dennis, my C&C representative was outstanding. Dennis was responsive in coming out to evaluate the job and provided a competitive quote.He took a significant amount of time providing me with C&C's full credentials; GAF's Master Elite Contractor Award (only 3% of contractors qualify), NRCA membership, GAF's Training Excellence Award, CertainTeed's Select Shingle Roofer Certification and member of BBB. One of my greatest concerns was damage to my mature landscaping but Dennis assured me his crews were trained and experienced in fully protecting beds, shrubbery and trees and ensuring the work site was cleaned up each day before the crew left for the day.Dennis was true to his word, I was truly impressed, not only was there no damage to landscaping but the site was left in emaculate shape each day even including magnetic sweeping of the ground to pick up stray nails. The contractor C&C uses to install gutters and downspouts did an excellent job but was much less disciplined regarding cleanup and somewhat careless (scratched my deck in several spots). My overall experience with C&C was excellent and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

They did the work at the quoted price and it was a job well done.

Everything went very smoothly. They finished ahead of schedule.

There was a slight issue, but they came out immediately to rectify the situation. They were punctual, fair, and they stand behind their work. They're easy to get a hold of and they did an excellent job.

The estimate was from one to four. I called him back and asked if I could I make earlier appointment. He stated he would be out about two o’clock. He then called the day of the important and stated he could not make and showed up at a quarter to four. He used a tape measure to measure the house roof and garage roof. He gave a price and he wanted 1/3 of the money up front. He couldn’t tell me how long it would take to complete. There is no mention of the barrier in the estimate.

We had roof damage in a wind storm. C&C was the first company who could come out and put up a tarp. The also offered to credit us the price of that work if we went with them to do the repairs. We had to wait until we had the insurance adjuster come out. We tried to get estimates from 3 companies, but C&C was the only one who would give us an estimate for replacing the roof or gave us a detailed break down of the estimate. We went with them. They had to come back twice to fix some minor issues, but did so with no hesitation.

C and C gave the lowest bid. And despite the golden rule saying to go with a middle-range bid, it was too big a saving to pass up. So we took a chance and over-all are very happy. The siding looks great and was installed quickly. Same with the windows. It took longer for them to start the job then they had said - 6 weeks versus the quoted 3, but I imagine the rain can effect that schedule quite a bit.

I chose this company on the basis of their Angie list rating and their price was competitive. The salesman was very knowledgeable and gave us a sense of security. However, never having a complete roof replacement previous, I had nothing to compare.Workmen very punctual and seemed professional. They completed work and cleaned up very well. I was present through the whole job which took 3 days and the salesman never stopped by or called to review the job or ask if there were any concerns. Finally, we received our warranty in the mail and it was wrong. We purchased a GAF lifetime warranty including extended wind coverage and our warranty stated only a 30 year warranty with no extra wind coverage. We called the roofer and they apologized for the mistake and made a correction. We received a second warranty and it now showed the lifetime warranty but no extra wind coverage. We called a second time and again they apologized and corrected the warranty.

Representative was very knowlegable and thorough in presentation of what would be done, how and why. Their bid was very competitive. They were slow to return phone calls on two occaisions (several days), which was a major factor in us being comfortable going with a competitor who quoted a little higher price (but was very responsive).
