C & C Family Roofing & Siding

Dave came out and arrived during the scheduled time. He went over the work to be performed. The gutters in the rear of the house were was packed with leaves as I suspected. I asked for a quote for a gutter protection system and he provided this before he left. He mentioned I should wait until the spring so the roof shingles are more flexible and less prone to breaking during the installation of the gutter system. I am satisfied with the work that C&C does.

Rep checked roof and patched a few shingles. Suggested I needed a new roof which I did not order at that time. Seemed professional but mostly interested in getting a contract to repair entire roof.

Fine. Quality of work was good. There was a 5-7 day delay in the removal of excess materials.

They were easy to schedule with and came on time. It was a hot day outside, but he worked quickly and efficiently. He was able to finish 11 of our 13 windows in the 2 hour time frame (the additional cost was a bit too much for 2 windows, so I declined). The sealing work is excellent, and he was able to complete this on a 3rd story window as well. The only 2 windows he didn't get to were ones covered by a porch anyway, so he put the thought into completing the most important windows first.

I purchased a big deal for $199, to get the roof of my new house inspected and repaied. When the rep from the company arrived he said he didn't want to touch the roof and offered to do the whole roof for $6000.00. After some back and forth, Angie's list got my money back for me and we've recently hired another company from Angie's list to repair our roof.

Bruce from C&C came out to do the estimate. I wasn't sure if I could get a new roof and also have enough money to do new entry doors as well, and he was very friendly and helpful in helping me decide what I should do. He made an estimate for the roof and doors and sent it in the mail the next day. After deciding I could only do the roof and gutters at the time, Bruce brought over a few full-size shingle samples (This was VERY helpful in deciding the color I wanted.) and Debbie from C&C office sent me the addresses of some local houses that had the colors I was interested in. The whole process was pretty seamless. I found a few nails and shingle pieces on my lawn after the crew left, but none of my plantings were hurt and they covered most of the lawn with tarps so that minimized the debris. I give the company a B for responsiveness because there was a place on my fascia that was hanging low at the seam (fascia was not replaced by C&C). I mentioned it during the estimate walk-through, and Bruce said he could have someone tighten it up. It was never fixed and I called/emailed a couple times to see if someone would come do it- no one ever came. I probably could have pursued the issue, but I gave up and decided to live with the crooked seam. All in all I had a positive experience and I guess my advice would be to make sure that things are done before you let the crew leave the site.

I had excessive damage from the hurricane and the insurance company came and inspected the roof and determined that it needed immediate servicing. C&C promptly returned my call and expedited the estimate process and promised not to price gouge given the post storm situation. Their quote was well in line with quotes that I received earlier in the year. C&C promised to install the roof within the next three weeks but actually informed me that they would come out to work on the roof the following week after they provided me with the estimate. Their team finished the job in 2 1/2 days. I was provided with daily emails updating me on the progress and they left the work site clean every day. They removed the trash bin the day they finished the work and they did a great job with the final clean up. I strongly recommend them to anyone who need a new roof installation.

Workmen came out and went right to work! Windows are caulked (lots of them) and roof is coated as promised all in a day!!! Recommended them to my neighbor...very prompt and professional! Thanks Angie

I bought a coupon for a solar fan installation on Angie's List. The company rep came out and told me I would need two fans for our attic rather than the one purchased without a detailed explanation of why. I also asked him to give me a price for other roof repairs while they were up on the roof installing the fan(s). The rep later sent me a written estimate which was a bit higher than the one he told me in person when he was at the house. I told him I'd think it over. I had another roofer come by and give me a price on these services and they ended up being cheaper, and I felt more comfortable with the pricing for services provided. I don't have negative things to say about C&C, but I don't know that I'd call them again.

The company's manager Chris went out of his way and came out himself to help stop gap a roof leak the evening prior to the hurricane at no charge since our scheduled repairs were not due to be made for another couple of weeks. Subsequent scheduled work was performed professionally and on time. Would definitely use again if needed.

The roofers came as promised and did as much as they could. Had to come back since it started raining. Came back on the weekend to finish the job. Great workers. Cleaned up pretty good. The work was fantastic and we withstood Hurricane Sandy without a leak.

People at C&C and the contractor who came to my house to do the work were very professional. He did all the caulking work. Looking at the work, I feel that the quality could be better.

They came out and inspected the roof and gave us a very fair estimate. They also took pictures of the broken gutter to show to me and explained the repair that they intended to make. They did a great job with the repair and we no longer have any gutter leaks.

He arrived within the scheduled time period. He went up and did the job. He gave me a estimate for the replacing gutter at the front of the house.

Overall, things went great. They came out when they said and got the work done in a very reasonable amount of time. Regina and Chris were always available by phone or email and quickly answered all the questions we had.

The guy was very nice, and professional. I just expected more for a service that is supposedly normally around $225.

A representative came out to evaluate my attic to see if the solar attic fan would be suitable for my house. I have gable vents and a ridge vent, but no soffit vents, and my attic has been terribly hot in the summer. The rep barely looked at my insulation. I had to prod him to look, and he said it looked fine. He said that the house seemed to be an appropriate candidate for this attic fan. Although I wasn't there for the actual install a week later (my husband was), I did come home to pieces of wood and sawdust all over my attic floor. When I looked up, the hole cut for the fan was jagged. Based on install videos I've seen, it shouldn't look that rough. I'm hoping the fan will hold up to Hurricane Sandy and that my shingles are in good shape.

They showed up exactly at 8:00 AM on Friday when they said they would and they were done by the end of the day on Saturday. They covered our patio in the back with tarps to protect it. They cleaned up when they were done. I only found a few nails around where the dumpster had been sitting in the driveway. The only negative we experienced, and I would consider it minor overall, was when my wife tried to communicate with the crew. Their were no English speakers present on the job so communication was practically impossible. When we were getting quotes from different roofers C&C was by far the best in terms of customer service and responsiveness. They provided us with addresses of houses which they had roofed with different shingle manufacturer's and styles. They were not the cheapest in terms of quotes that we received but we wanted to pay a couple thousand more to go with a shingle manufacturer certified installer that would stand behind the product and their installation. I recently had an investment property roof start to leak after just 7 years and the company that did the install wouldn't even come out to look at the roof. Too many disreputable contractors and businesses in the building trades so I wouldn't definitely recommend you do your homework. I am confident that C&C / GAF will stand behind this job and I won't have to worry. That is worth every dime of the extra money in my book.

They did the job and cleaned up when they were done. They color matched the 7 year old 3 tab shingles as best they could. I am confident that their job will last longer than the roofing job done by another company. After having done my homework I am confident that C&C is a reputable contractor who will stand behind their work. That is the most important thing to me. I have had far too much experience with disreputable contractors / businesses in the building trades. I would rather spend a little extra and go with an outfit that knows what they are doing (C&C is a shingle manufacturer certified installer) and believes in doing quality work for a reasonable price. You can always spend less and go with one of the non-certified contractors but I firmly believe you will ultimately spend more. You are basically gambling when going with an outfit that is not certified. I have spent too much money over the years fixing jobs done by non-certified contractors. Many of them just do what they have always done and have never read the manufacturers recommended installation guidelines. I firmly believe that many of them don’t even have the reading comprehension to understand the manufacturer's guidelines. The choice is yours....

The service was fine. He was courteous and I asked for an estimate for roof repair and he was willing to send the estimate.

In response to an Angie's List Big Deal, a C & C estimator came to the house. I had a leak from a dormer that was coming into my living room. Previous roofers had given me estimates of from a few hundred dollars to thousands for a whole new roof. Current roof was new in 2006 but was not a particularly good job. (That company, DiNardo, no longer in business.) None of the other 6 roofing companies actually diagnosed what the real problem was. The C & C estimator actually took pictures and explained what was causing the leak. I paid the $100 big deal fee. I sent in the deposit after getting the estimate by email. C & C scheduler called me on 10/8 to inform me that the roofers would be out the next day. I was not present for the entire day but two men from C & C were at the house approximately 4 hours. Our interactions were cordial. I will not know if the work was successful until we have a driving rain from the correct direction. I thought the fee was a little high for the work done. I am just glad to have it taken care of. If I need future work, I would certainly get an estimate from C & C.

I was very pleased with the service. Their team was on time at 7 AM and worked diligently throughout to finish in one day. The roof looks great. More importantly was the attention to detail, from arranging permits to a very thorough cleanup. All I had to do was sweep up under where the dumpster was and you could never tell a team had been working. Their team was very professional (did not speak English too well but we managed) and very fast.

I met with a representative from C&C family roofing and siding. Scott Miller was friendly and knowledgeable. We contracted for the work. It took me a little while to get the building permit from my township but once I had this permit Scott and his team came out and perform the work in a very professional and timely manner. I was pleased with the result.

I was tired of huge heating and cooling bills, I found out it was most likley due to poor insulation in my attic. I contact C & C Family Roofing about having my attic insulated. WOW what a wonderful experince I had with them. One of the representatives Jeff came out to my home. How nice it was to have someone show up when they say they will. Jeff was very professional and polite. He went into my attic and measured how much insulation I had. (None it turns out!) Jeff informed me that the insulation was very old and broken down and was not performing its job any longer.. Afetr explaining the process and giving me my estimate he left. No hard sell no gimmicks just straight up facts and an estimate. After having a couple other companies out, whom I will never call again. I compared prices and although C & C was neither the highest or lowest their professional no hard sell no nonsense proposal went a long way with me. I hired them to do the work. What a nice job, again the workers showed up when promised. The took great care to protect my home, floors and walls. The job they did was very professional. They cleaned up when all the work was done. You would never know they had been there. All I can say is bring on the cold I am ready!
