UPDATE to my original review below: Since posting my experiences/pictures on Angie's, C&C Roofing has fixed all the issues. I will take pictures of the corrections and post. Bruce my account representative and Mark the worker capped the fireplace, caulked the windows, fixed the white trim and gaps, and replaced the vent on the side of the chimney. Bruce assured me that Mark is a good worker, but I can only review my experiences. Bruce and his manager at C&C took my "complaints"/review on Angie's seriously and have fixed all the issues very satisfactorily, which is what we all want in the end. It's not about perfection, but customer satisfaction, and for that I wanted to let Angie customers know that they did fix all issues stated below. Hi All? My siding is still a work in progress so I?ll just comment on my experience with C&C and the work to date through the customer?s eyes. Not every person is rated the same, and my rating will most likely change if/when things are taken care of. I live in an end unit townhome. The siding blew off during Hurricane Sandy. I called C&C, among others, to come out for an estimate. It took 3 weeks for someone to come out for the estimate, but that?s understandable with all the damage that was done locally. My representative was/is Bruce. What I appreciate about Bruce is that even though I?m sure my job would be considered ?small change?, Bruce took the time to hear my concerns and what I wanted fixed. He gave me an estimate ?a la carte? to fix a partial wall, the entire wall, and front of home. I appreciate that Bruce is accessible and answers his phone when I call, or gets back to me quickly. My choice was between C&C and another highly rated contractor. I went with C&C as they were a few hundred dollars less, they are a member of the BBB, and Bruce had good comments on Angie?s List. For this job, I would give him an A-/B+. He is very courteous and accessible, but I?m not sure how closely he monitors the crew and the work. Mark is the worker C&C assigned to my job. At his moment I am rating him a ?D?. The worker ?Mark? showed up a couple of days before the job begun. He kept expressing that the job was much larger than Bruce had suggested and he seemed a bit distressed about how large the job was, which of course made me concerned. I asked Mark if he was saying that he was unable to complete the job, and he said no. I?m not sure why he would be verbally expressing this to a customer. Then Mark was making comments on what needed to be done, which was obvious that he had not read the estimate or that Bruce did not discuss in detail what we had agreed on. I finally asked Mark if he actually read the estimate, and he admitted that he just ?picked it up?. I told him I was residing the entire side, from post to post (including replacing the corner posts per estimate). Friday, Feb. 1st: According to Bruce, Mark was to begin work on Friday, February 1st. Because of this, I made arrangements to take my nervous puppy to a daycare, as loud noises frighten her and I didn?t want her potentially barking all day. This meant I needed to leave my house at 6:30 in order to get to the daycare facility and be at my job on time at 7:30. When I came home of Friday, no work had been completed. Bruce said Mark needed to finish a job? Mark told me when I saw him that he thought Friday was too cold to work. So, I spent money to have the pup taken to day care on Monday, Feb. 4th. When I got home around 4:30, the workers were gone and a minimal amount was done on the house. About 5 feet of siding was taken off and Certa Wrap taped, but that?s all. Tuesday, Feb. 5th, I decided not to take the pup to daycare, as the job was going to take much longer than anticipated and daycare was an added expense. When I came home around 4pm, Mark was sitting in his car smoking and talking on his cell phone while his worker ?Bob? (I don?t know his name?. but I?m giving Bob an ?A? rating) was out in the cold doing things on his own. Not much was done on the house, as I suspect Bob was doing it by himself. But what was done was nice. The downstairs window had rotted wood, and Bruce told me that the wood would be replaced. I met Mark (there were cigarette butts all around my parking spot) at his car. He apologized for not working until 5pm on Monday, but it was cold. I figure this is fine, as I am not paying them by the hour but by the job. I noticed that Mark (or really Bob) did not replace the end posts. He said that he was never told to replace them. So, one suggestion I have is that the salesperson, in this case Bruce, needs to communicate more with the worker. Perhaps I should have been more specific with Mark as well, but I trusted that all would have been properly communicated to the workers. Mark told me that it was impossible not to put the end posts, which wasn?t acceptable to me as I paid to have it done, and the original end posts were dented with holes in them. I think perhaps Mark thought I was trying to add more work that wasn?t originally quoted, but when I double checked my estimate, it clearly said to replace the corner posts. So, Mark said he would change the front corner post but would have to ?fix? the back post with the most damage. This lack of communication was very frustrating to me. I called Bruce, and he assured me that the damaged area would be ?patched?, which it is, even if the whole corner post isn?t replaced. Wed, Feb. 6th: I came home around 4pm and both Mark and ?Bob? were putting the siding around the chimney. I just went inside and let them have their privacy. Thurs, Feb 7th: Came home at 4pm and workers were gone. It appeared as though they finished (I really didn?t inspect too closely, as I needed to be somewhere). They left the scaffolding up and the ladders were neatly laid to one side. What irritated me is that they did not clean up at all. There were white plastic pieces everywhere, loose nails, cigarette butts everywhere, a razor blade on the deck. I was going to start cleaning up after them, but decided it was their responsibility. The problem is that my dog keeps chewing on them and I?m afraid she?s going to swallow a nail or plastic chard. Fri, Feb. 8th: The workers did not come by to take scaffolding down, clean up, or remove ladders. I called Bruce and he told me that Mark said he was having truck problems. Sat, Feb 9th: HOA Inspection: A board member of my HOA and I inspected the work. He noted that Mark was in his car most of the time (smoking and on the cell phone) that he saw, while poor ?Bob? did most of the work. Again, that?s C&C?s problem to monitor their workers, as I am not paying them by the hour. The board member noted that they used silver nails on the white trim instead of white nails. I told him that it wasn?t too obvious, so I wasn?t going to worry about it. His point was that this is their profession, and they should know better, so I guess he has a point. However, there are a few things that were not acceptable. I called Bruce and asked if he personally inspects each job site for completion to make sure everything is acceptable. He said he does and that he did come by my place. I gave him a list of items that were not acceptable and I?m surprised that he did not notice these things on his inspection. Bruce assured me that these items would be remedied, so I?ll will post again when items are completed.

They were very professional and responsive to my calls. When they came out for the estimate, they concluded the work that needed to be done would cost twice as much as the deal covered. I decided not to have the work done at this point. Everything about this company was good.

My experience was great. It was the second time I had a roof problem in the history of my house. I was a little nervous about going with someone new. They came out gave me an estimate replaced some piping, check the positions of the gutters, surveyed the entire roof and only replaced what was broken.

The quoted price was $34,000. We had a pretty good experience with them; they were knowledgeable, prompt and fairly accurate. I had no complaints; I just did not use them because their price was higher than the bidder we eventually selected. They were very good.

We had the company come out and a**** the work. They said it would cost 3,200 to do the full job. They would also need to cap some hi hats and that would be an additional $25. The worker came out and he was nice and thorough, that price just isn’t within our budget.

We knew who we were going to use due to seeing some other local people using this company. We didn't know what color we should go with as it's a cluster of townhomes w/ each person picking their own colors/materials/company as needed. We told the company to pick the color they thought would go best (we're an end unit) and they did a fabulous job. They were in and out in 2 days, replaced wet plywood under the roof and now we can paint the inside w/o worry of it leaking again. They cleaned up after themselves too. The cost was exactly what they gave us ahead of time, We're very satisfied.

Please see comment above. I asked only for an estimate.
Description of Work: I asked for an estimate for a new roof, which was provided promptly and professionally. The price was on the high side. I eventually hired another roofer on the recommendation of a contractor I know well. They did an excellent job at a much lower cost. (Ken Warburton, Exterior Edge, Warminster PA.)

Did not select any company yet.
Description of Work: After seeing all the advertisements by this company in all the newspapers, I decided to call them for an estimate on roofing and siding after the damage caused by hurricane Sandy. I was especially impressed by their Best of Bucks award. My husband spoke to a representative regarding an estimate on replacing both roof and siding and he was told we would get the written estimate with one week to ten days. We never did hear another word from them after waiting several weeks, so I called and spoke to the operator who stated this was very unusual and that she would check on it. After several days we were sent an estimate with the direction that this price was only good until a certain date. At this point the weather changed and we decide it was too cold to do this work. Since there was a deadline for their price estimate we have decided to contact other companies when the weather breaks in spring. I don't feel like I can deal with a company who not only did not send the estimate timely, but then gave us an ultimatum to accept the price within a short period of time. I was very disappointed because I felt like a company awarded Best of Bucks would be someone we could be sure to get the best job done and I am also certain that they perform excellent work. Their price was also higher than the other estimate we received using the same roof and siding materials, and while I know that the workmanship is important also, I have to be able to trust that the job would be started and finished when told. We have not chosen another company yet, but will do so for spring installation.

Start, Bob replaced windows with quality Anderson product. Excellent workmanship, no mess,, extremely pleasant, extremely professional. Jim and the rest of the crew replaced siding exactly to the specs we agreed upon and revealed to us many problems unbeknownst to us by the original builder. They fixed all inadequacies thereupon improving the overall construction of the house, not just applying siding. This was what I called giving 110%, going above and beyond my expectations workmanship was meticulous, top shelf with the net result being a awesome beautiful, quality job and every neighbor has made comments regarding how fabulous house looks. They did what they promised, did not play with the prices and cleaned up after themselves every single day

They were prompt in coming out to give estimate. Asked for a deposit to be mailed, which I did. The only minor dislike was that they did not call me to schedule a day and time to begin. I called to inform them that I was sending the deposit. Was told that when they received the deposit they would call me to set up day and time for work. I think I called on a Friday. I had errands the following Tuesday and came home and found them working on the gutters! Other than this, I am pleased with the company and will call them in the future.

My review here is specific for Bruce from C & C roofing. I highly recommend Bruce. My friend and I both needed a new roof. I initially contacted someone from C & C roofing and gave my friend the contact name. She did not have good experience. So we both decided to have Bruce install our roofs. Bruce finished my friend roof. She was happy with the job. Bruce also gave an estimate for my roof What a difference I experienced between two roofers from C & C roofing! Bruce was professional and honest. He came to give us an estimate with the price that is much in aligment with estimates from other roofers. Since that person came first, Bruce told us that someone had contact with me before him so he could not do our roof and the person we did not have good experience had to do our roof. We were very disappointed. Again we experienced such difference between two roofers with regards to the temp fix of our roof. The temp fix was blown by wind. It was going to rain over the weekend. I called the person on Friday and asked him to fix the temp roofing. He was rude and told me he would not be able to have anyone to do it over the weekend. We had to go back to Bruce and asked his help. Again, it was Bruce helped us. He took care of his customer, very processional, nice, and honest.

This Big Offer was for 2 hours exterior maintenance which I purchased in the summer. When I was ready to schedule the work in the fall, unfortunately Hurricane Sandy intervened and C&C was busy doing tarpings and other emergencey work. OK - very understandable, so the earliest appointment was for Jan. and I was informed it could only be used for caulking. Oh. I thought "exterior maintenance" was a bit broader, but, OK again. I had paid for it and yes, we did need caulking, even though it did not seem the right time of year, but at least they were honoring my purchase. When the worker showed up, on time, I was impressed. But I guess the cold weather makes fools of us all and his workmanship suffered. Globs around my windows, not neat beads. Errant globs on my storm windows. Globs on my stonework - yikes! The worker's preferred tool for application and "smoothing"? A mini-paint brush, stiff and misshapen, all the better to smear the globs. Cut-off tips from the numerous caulk tubes dotted my driveway, which thank God served as a beacon to a roofing nail that fell off the back of his truck and lay directly in my parked car's path. Overall, the impression I was left with was: "we'll fulfill our obligation, but we don't care if we come back for any referral work". I realize it was a "loss-leader" priced job, but overall, very disappointing workmanship as a statement of quality for any additional work, which is what I presume "Big Offers" are all about, no?. 'Nuf said.

Do look for advertised specials on Angie's List and remember to review details so you are not disappointed. (For example, this special specified a certain amount of gutter to be cleaned, so if you have more than that, you will pay more).

For the most part, everything went well. They did a good job of replacing the shingles and cleaned up very well after the work was finished. Furthermore, my roof is rather long, but it took the crew only one day to complete the job. My only complaint is that they removed and disposed of my gutter screens without asking, and they left some of the gutters askew.

After two days went by and no one returned my call, I called again. A nice-sounding lady from C&C left me a voice mail on the third day. In her words, 'C&C does not work in the city of Philadelphia, so unfortunately, we can't help you.' Their responsiveness, not horrible (F), could use a little work, and certainly is not average (C). Called for an estimate and John arrived on the day he indicated, and investigated the cause of the leak. II had a written estimate shortly thereafter. Work was scheduled and completed. The gentleman that gave the estimate was thorough and explained in detail what would be done. Crew showed up on time on the day of the job. After they started they notived that many of the boards needed to be replace. This was expected since the roof was more than 50 years old. Opted to have all of the boards replaced to reflect improved builing codes. C&C was kind enough to give me a discount on the 62 boards that were replaced. The crew was fantastic. They removed the old roof and replaced it all in one day. Thet also cleane dup and removed allof the debris.

C & J Family Roofing came out for the estimate. He went up to the attic to see where to install the solar fan. He said I needed insulation up there so I asked for a quote; he assured they also do windows and gutters when I asked. I showed him this one window that leaks like a sieve; he said there's nothing wrong with the window, and it doesn't need replaced, I just needed the caulking done again. I asked if they could do the caulking when they came back to do the fan and they did; they also did the caulking for the other windows in my home too, at their suggestion. He also advised that he would recommend doing the insulation next and worry about the gutters later. I appreciated his honesty and that he didn't try to up-sell a new window to me. Everyone in the office has been very good to work with as well.

The minor repairs were fine. The company also provided an estimate for a roof replacement based on their quick inspection of the roof. The estimate provided did not include the detail that was promised when the inspection was completed. In addition, when the company was contacted with questions relating to things not included in the estimate that were supposed to be there, the price increased significantly. After speaking with some other firms and comparing estimates, we decided to go with another firm to replace the roof.
