C & C Family Roofing & Siding

Unfortunately, C & C only schedules appointments for estimates between 10 am and 4 pm, Monday thru Friday. My husband and I both work full time and are not able to take off a half day to meet with an estimator. A company with more flexible hours will get my business.

He did the work as stated and arrived on time. He provided us with a complete list of items that needed fixed on the roof in a very timely fashion – within about 24 hours. He was very professional and we are going through items to prioritize them and will look to C&C for estimates for the work.

Overall experience was great. Dennis the estimator was very good; down to earth and direct. He's a roofer who knows his stuff.

We were impressed with the work crew that performed the roof replaement. Working in lousy weather and with a shorthanded crew, Marco and his crew managed to get the installation done in the two days originally projected. Marco was approachable and maintained a professional demeanor even under less than ideal conditions.

I went to C&C first for my siding repair because they are an A rated company in Angie's List and because I've used them in the past. After looking over the job, Jeff presented two hand-written estimates to my friend, who was arranging for the contractors to inspect the job. One estimate was for $460 to caulk the rake board at the gables, but they wouldn't guarantee the work. The second option was for $2600 to replace the rake board and siding, which they would guarantee, but the siding wouldn't match what was on the house. Although I thought the prices a tad high, I know C&C's reputation, so I took that into account. However, I didn't get the emailed quote for days and had to call the office. The office manager said the paperwork wasn't on Jeff's desk, and she gave me his cell phone to call him directly. He started saying he didn't know how to quote the job since I hadn't made a decision of which way to go. I countered that I couldn't make that decision til I saw the comparative quotes. I thought Jeff got into issues that had nothing to do with what they were asked to quote, so the phone conversation was a little stilted. When I finally got the emailed estimates, the caulking estimate had more than doubled to $950, and the rake board repair had jumped to $3200. When I emailed Jeff about the discrepancy, he just said he had miscalculated on the first quote. Since he had seemed anxious that day to have my friend give him the go-ahead for one of the options, I wonder what they would have done about the miscalculation. Later, when I had another A-rated roofing company estimate the repairs, they determined that caulking was absolutely sufficient, and their estimate was much better, so they got the job.

It worked out fairly well. They did a nice job, I'm really pleased with the overall result. They were fully flexible. The deal was passed the original date they said that they had to be completed by but there was no problem with them. The people that came out was very professional and did their job well. They cleaned up very well when they were finished. I have no complaints with the job they did.

My experience with this company was very good. I called the company for an estimate and Kevin came out. Kevin was professional, knowledgeable, and gave me a competitive quote. Due to rain and the nearby US Open, we had to reschedule a few times and he was always a pleasure to deal with. I'm satisfied with the roof they installed on my rental property in Ardmore. Contractors can be very difficult to deal with. However, this was one of the smoothest experiences I've had. If I ever have a roof issue, they'll be the first company that I call. My only complaint regarded the number of nails I found in the driveway after they left. I'm not sure if this could have been prevented though, given the type of work they were doing 3 stories up. Therefore, it wouldn't prevent me from using them again and shouldn't deter you from calling them. I also know they did clean up as I saw their worker with the magnetic roller in the driveway. Nevertheless, I found probably 25 nails in the driveway when they left. To their credit, I was warned by Kevin that this would happen.

Set the thermostat on fan too low. Was also supposed to adjust rain gutter but didn't.

They were very good. Their pricing was fair.

He was on time. Did a quick look around upstairs in the bedroom with the water marks and pull down attic as well. Also went up on the ladder to look at roof. Total time for visit was 20 minutes. Asked what type of shingle could be installed. He did take the time to call management office to verify whether tab or architectural shingle was to be used. Asked for my email to send estimate in 2-3 days. Waited at week since no estimate was received. Called office and was told to look in junk file of email. Told her nothing was there. Ended up he wrote my email down incorrectly! Just did not feel comfortable with C&C. Did not seem to care if they got the job or not...

We initially contacted C & C because of the reviews on Angie's list as well as the fact they are in our neighborhood. We had an issue with a leak in our bedroom. C&C inspected the roof and recommended that we remove the ridge vent. Our house has a flatter roof on the back and a peak on the front so they thought this was probably where the leak was coming in from.We contracted with C&C to remove the vent and install high hats for ventilation. The price was good and we had the work done.The next storm we had we still had the leak, less of a leak but still a leak. The reason for the C rating: We called C&C back and they agreed to come back out and take a look again to see what they could find. We scheduled an appointment and my wife took half a day vacation to meet with the roofer. The roofer came out and spent about 5 minutes with my wife and said what day of the week next week are you available to meet with my guy to come out and inspect the roof. My wife said she took half a day to meet with him and couldn't afford another day off so he said ok i will send someone out next week to inspect the roof and see if there was another problem. My wife said fine and asked for him to quote us the cost to replace the roof. I can't say if the other guy actually came out or not, but we are still waiting for a quote from the company. So unfortunately, this is leaving a bitter "taste" in our mouths.

They were great, they were prompt for the appointment, and did a very satisfactory job. I liked working with them.

Overall the project went well. The crew worked for about 2 1/2 days and was reasonably careful in removing the old shingles, installing the new ones and cleanup after the project was finished. I was particularly concerned about nails on the driveway, in the area immediately near the house and in the gutters. They spent time going over all those areas and got almost all loose nails. (It is impossible to get everything, but they did a good job). We were also concerned about damage to the foundation plantings but they were careful to keep plants mostly free of debris. The project manager, Wilson, was easy to deal with. Our initial sales contact, John, was very responsive to our questions, concerns and requirements. All in all I was very satisfied with the work.

We were given a time frame of 10 to 1 pm for the C & C estimator to arrive. He arrived just before 1 pm. Since we do not live in this house, we arrived before 10 am and waited. The other contractors we were getting estimates from gave a time and arrived on time. Jeff got up on the house metal roof and told us it needed to be replaced. Jeff suggested asphalt shingles. My husband told him there wasn't enough pitch. Jeff was sarcastic and snarly and argued with him. We never got an estimate from him for the house or the garage. Overall he was a poor salesman for this company. All other roofing contractors told us the metal roof just needed another re-coating. My husband worked in the custom home building trade for many years and knows roofs. We would not contract this company for anything.

I have to assume the job went well as I can not see the roof. I will have a better idea when we have had some heavy rain, if the repairs stopped the leaks.

He was punctual, pleasant, and professional.

We received three estimates. C&C was the highest, but they were the most responsive and seemed most knowledgeable, especially concerning one portion of our roof that is considered to be too flat for shingles. Their project manager, Chris, offered to replace a few shingles, at no cost, on our existing roof that had blown off during a previous storm to hold us over until they could complete the project. The crew arrived early and worked late, they cleaned up at the end of each day. Marco and his crew were very polite and kept us informed throughout the project, which took 2 1/2 days to complete. We were completely satisfied.

Jeff and his team were WONDERFUL to work with. The job was very well done, the price was great, and my roof looks fabulous. I have to admit that "replacing the roof" was not high on my "WANT to do" list. It was more of a need than a want and I hated spending any money for an "upkeep" job versus a "beautifying" job. However, the roof looks so fabulous that I can't stop looking at it and smiling. What I thought was going to be merely an "upkeep" job, turned into a "beautifying" job. Thank you C&C Family Roofing for making my home look GREAT!

They were very professional. They provided a fair estimate. The work was done in a timely manner.

The gentleman was very nice. He was very respectful and professional. The company was also professional, but I don't know if their price was good or how it was because I didn't have it done and I didn't get any other quotes. I thought their estimate for the work was pretty expensive, but I did get my $99 worth. I didn't have the work done because they wanted to do a new roof for like $25,000.

C & C Family Roofing & Siding did a great job. They were very courteous and professional. I liked the way the work looked when it was finished. The pricing was good and fair. I will be using them again in the future for roof repair.

It took a long time to wait for just the right weather before the entire roof could removed. But it was worth the wait, the roof looks great. The ventilation has corrected the mold problem throughout the attic and living space.

This service was the best investment.....he was thorough and even brought a ladder to caulk with silicone the areas between the bricks where the rain would come into the window. After the next rain, there was no more leakage from above the window frames on the outside.

Great. The roof is fairly new so they tried the simple route first, repairing the seam. The other companies we called out jumped right to tearing big sections of roof off. Very happy with them! Fixed it right the first time.

Angie's list offered a special on roof services by this company. I paid my money only to get a call from the company saying they don't work in Philadelphia. I had to call Angie's List to get my money back. Not a happy experience.
