C & C Family Roofing & Siding

I called to get on the list for the cleaning gutters. The person on the phone was very polite and said they were was a two week backlog but they would give me a call the day before they would come out. I would not need to be at home when they arrived for the cleaning. About two days later, they called and said they would be able to come the next day. The day of the cleaning, I got a call from the person who would be servicing the gutters. He let me know that he was at my home and it (townhouse) would fall under the $125 coupon unless he finds something wrong. He said he would call me back if he finds something otherwise he would leave an invoice in the door. I came home and the drain from the gutter was cleared from leaves. The next morning when standing at the front door and looking straight up, I could tell that the gutter was better connected to the roof where it would always leak between the roof and gutter.

A DIFFERENT roofer put a temporary patch and a tarp on my roof after some storm damage. This roofer (Southampton Roof + Remodling) wanted to charge me extra to remove the tarp. I said no thanks.... So I called C&C and got an estimate of $500 to remove the tarp and to replace shingles that had been nailed into to hold down the tarp. I thought it was a bit much, but I understood that a lot of shingles would have to be replaced to do it right. C&C removed the tarp and replaced several shingles. They gave me my $500 worth by also replacing the temporary patch the other roofer had put on, even thought this was not in the scope of work we discussed. I thought that was cool and showed me that whomever was working the job cared about giving good service. So all in all, I recommend C&C.

Excellent company. From my discussions with Lynn in the office, to the diagnosis and estimate handled by John Debrigida the project manager, to Dave Ghillies the service repairman - each was a pleasure to deal with and all went smoothly and flawlessly. It took no time at all from my initial phone call to the completion of the work. In fact, the work was done before any other company initially contacted for an estimate was available to come out and do that estimate. Everyone was professional, polite and followed through with all that was promised. The work site was left spotless and I felt the cost was most reasonable. I am a very satisfied customer!

I got three estimates for the work. C&C was the lowest but I don't think necessarily because they were the cheapest but because they were the most sensible? Time will tell. C&C was the only roofing estimate I got that wanted to put new rubber vent collars over the old ones versus taking up shingles, taking out the entire roof collar assemblies and installing new ones. If I didn't find my roof pitch and height so intimidating I would have done it the way C&C did it. Also I saw Tom Silva perform the repair the same way on "Ask This Old House". They were the last estimate I got so I did not ask the first two why they felt the more labor intensive solution was better. The only negative was I originally contacted C&C through their website, got an email confirming they got my message, but then I never heard back. I did call them a week or so later and they said they were having problems with their website. Another roofer I contacted, same thing. Bottom line is I would always call in the future and not bother with website contacts. I don't think the companies should even have them if they're not 100% reliable as they're liable to lose potential customers.

Bruce came on time to do the free estimate and sent the details in writing the next day. He discussed what they planned to do and answered all my questions. We scheduled the work to begin two weeks later. Before the work was started, we had heavy rains predicted and C & C came out and put a patch over the leaky area (no extra cost). On the day scheduled for the roof replacement, their team came around 7 am and they worked through until around 5 or 5:30. The next day they completed the job. They tarped the ground and bushes before they started. They cleaned up each day and left the place neater than when they started. The estimator, office staff, and roof workers were all helpful, knowledgeable, polite, and a pleasure to work with. The new roof looks great. Over all, C & C is a really good company to work with.

When I called we were scheduled promptly for an in-home assessment. The salesman arrived well within the provided window and went over step-by-step what he was looking at to determine the integrity of our roof and how and with what materials it would be replaced. He was very professional and left promising to e-mail me a quote shortly, saying he would follow up in a week if he had not heard from us. In four days I had not received a quote. In comparison, his competitor had the quote out later that same day. I called the office to request that the quote be resent. Since it was early I got their answering service who promised to pass the message on. In a couple of hours I got a call from the front desk promising to e-mail the quote out that day. Well, once again, the quote did not arrive. It has now been another four days. We are tired of waiting and have time constraints on installing our new roof, so we have hired the competition, Trenton Roofing, who were equally professional and DID send a quite reasonable quote. All in all, I give this company a "C" as they were very honest and professional in the assessment phase, but really dropped the ball on the all-important quote. I hope any future customers keep an eye out for this and end having a better experience.

It went very well. The roof was part of a new addition where the contractor did not install the new roof correctly. C&C corrected the problem area.

So, they showed up when they said they would and that was that I left for work and came home to a new roof.. They did a wonderful job..

We contracted C+C to put a new roof and siding on our house. They were very communicative during the whole process. Both the roof and siding were completed efficiently and cleanly. We have received multiple comments on how great our house looks since the job was completed.

Overall C & C did a very nice job. John was the initial contact to review the project and provide a quote couple hrs later. He was very impressive explaining, in detail, what they would do and the benefits of using C&C. That meeting, in combination with GAF's high rating of C&C helped me make a determination pretty quickly, which is rare for me. Installers came out pretty early following week. Carlos, the crew lead, was very impressive too. He was very honest as we spoke both days. He gave me confidence that he and his crew would do a good job. Since its done so rarely just a suggestion to those looking to replace a roof . There are many parts to be installed, not just shingles and underlayment, so to play it safe good practice is to compare contract listed items vs. what is delivered.

They didn't pressure for the job and worked within my time frame. They gave me options to choose from and left it up to me to make the final decision.

Installation was good and they were professional. Cleaned up after the job. I would use them again in the future.

Very professional....Job was completed quickly and all debris was cleared. Roof looks great and it held up against Hurricane Sandy. Highly recommend.

My experience with them was okay and not great. He said if we do that we have to do this and that and all of a sudden it was up to like $10000. He did give me a consult but I was just hoping that my problem could be handled right then. The wood molding had pulled away from the siding and I just wanted him to nail it back down so that is was tighter and I think it was the situation that was beyond. It wasn't a repair but more of a whole replacement. I thought it may be around $200 or $300 but all of a sudden it was in thousands. He did come out and give me a consult but I don't think he was very knowledgeable. He may have known exactly what he was talking about but I just didn't want it stripped out and that was not what I was looking for. He didn't really know how to attack or explain what needed to be done on the issue. He should have been able to give me a step by step what needed to be done. The price was perfect because it was more of a consult and there was not much they could do in two hours expect for little repairs here and there. I guess the price was very fair. He was professional.

DENNIS CAME OUT ON 19 JULY AND GAVE ME A VERBAL ESTIMATE OF ABOUT $2000. A FEW DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A WRITTEN ESTIMATE OF $3150. I CALLED DENNIS FOR VERIFICATION SINCE THE TWO AMOUNTS WERE NOT CLOSE. HE NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. I THAN CONTACTED ANOTHER ANGIE'S LIST ROOFER (PHILLIPS LLC). THEY DID THE JOB FOR $700 LESS THAN C&C.

I used this company to do my siding a few years ago and was happy with the results so I called then again for an estimate on my roof. I actually called four companies and the came in 2nd out of the four bids but the prices were close enough that past experience carried the day. They came in and knocked it out I on day. The installation went well and the quality of the work was excellent. They cleaned up after the job and protected all of our gardens while work was happening. I would recommend them in the future if anyone is looking for siding or roofing. In my experience, a quality company.

the removed the old roof and installed a new one

C&C inspected the roof and caulked two vent pipes. Did not repair a small leak in the roof. Gave a quote for a roof replacement which included Angie's List discounts, but was overpriced.

Workmen arrived on the date that we expected. The crew leader introduced himself to us and they immediately began the removal process. We were very impressed with the work ethic and professionalism displayed throughout the day. The workmen were very courteous and conscious of our newly completed landscaping. They completed the job in one day as we were told that they would. The last thing completed was a general clean-up and I would like to share with you that we have yet to find any left over debris from this job. We are very impressed with C & C and would gladly recommend these folks to friends and family. Great Job - well executed!

I was advised that I needed some stucco repair done before the roofer's could do their job so once that was handled, the job was done. We haven't had a good hard rain since so I am not sure if they solved my problem.
