Casey was amazing! I called Precision because they were recommended by the Ecobee company. We all thought it was one program, but when Casey got here, he figured out what it really was and fixed it. He was professional, neat, and informative. I will definitely call Precision in the future and plan to sign up for a maintenance plan with them.

Responded in a timely fashion to the call for service. Service evaluation |revealed a fan part that needed to be replaced. Did a complementary tune-up. |Part was ordered, came in a week, and a second repairman came out the next day and replaced the worn part. The HVAC unit is operating quietly and efficiently. They also gave me a Senior discount (10%) on the part.

They were very professional. They installed a highly rated system and there were no surpasses on the installation. I would use them again and recommend them. Everyone I dealt with was excellent.

They had the best price by far out of 5 companies I reviewed. The others were 50% higher. They wanted over $15,000. The installation process was very fast from quotation to acceptable to final delivery. I was properly instructed on how to use the system. Everything was installed and cleaned up properly. I would recommend them because I had a positive experience. I was skeptical with the low price but they came through.

Folks, pardon my long review but for those considering these reviews as part of their due diligence before they spend a significant amount of money on an HVAC system, I feel it's worth hearing the details. I hope it helps you. I use Angie's list because I find it valuable; particularly if a customer has taken the time to write a thorough review which I can then use in my decision process. And I find that I appreciate more details (rather than less) to help me better evaluate which contractors are gems and which I should stay away from. Especially useful when considering a big ticket purchase like this one. I had originally met Mike Stipa (President of Precision Air) when we asked him to speak at our Homeowners Association meeting this past February. He was straightforward, thorough, took the time to explain the various options and costs of new HVAC systems, and stayed to answer all of our questions. A no-nonsense guy! And I appreciated his simple but thorough approach to an issue (HVAC) that most of us don't have any experience with and can be quite confusing. As homeowners, one thing we appreciated about Mike was that we didn't feel like we were being 'sold' but rather Mike was explaining a range of options to us for our consideration, and helping us to narrow those down based on our own needs, budget, and preferences. We had almost the same A/C problem one year ago to the day (there was a leak in our and quot;Aand quot;-frame evaporator coil causing the coils to freeze and thaw almost simultaneously. This put a bunch of water on the floor - wet carpeting and damaged laminate). Another contractor came out within an hour on an emergency basis, checked the system, filled it with freon, and fixed the problem. (We also rated that contractor as and quot;Aand quot; last year). But we knew it was a temporary fix. At that time, I had talked to several HVAC contractors regarding their service offerings, pricing, and installation, and several came out to do an evaluation, so we had a good idea of what a new system would cost. This time, remembering Mike's presentation to our HOA, I called him and explained our 'emergency'. He said he'd be out the next morning, and I explained that we were leaning towards replacing the entire system due to its age. Over the phone, he provided me with a and quot;least-expensive to most-expensiveand quot; set of options anyway so that I would be aware of what the range of solutions might be. Again, he spent a significant amount of time on the phone with us reviewing our options, costs, install schedules, etc. Mike came out the next day for an on-site evaluation, and he did an inspection to confirm what we already believed, and then began to finalize our options with us. I was still drying out the basement when he arrived the next morning to inspect the system. Since our original system was 'builder grade', we chose an upgraded system (Modulating, Variable Speed Gas Furnace and 2-stage, dual-fuel heat pump (runs on either full electric, full propane, or switches over from electric to propane below a certain temperature in the winter) with an upgraded air filtration system, and a humidifier. We also asked him about bundling in a new water heater (which we had been contemplating replacing) and extended warranty and service plans. He shared several brand options and pricing for our consideration. In the end, Precision provided a complete upgraded solution with some bells and whistles for a significant amount less than several other contractors who quoted us similar systems about a year ago. Since we were leaving for vacation the following day, Mike scheduled installation for us the day we returned. Mike also told us about various financing options including one from and quot;Keystone Worksand quot;, a state-supported program for energy improvements with longer terms and low interest rates. We applied and financed 100% of the cost of the new system with the added bonus of the program picking up the 1st 6 payments as a 'Marketingand quot; promotion to further reduce our total loan principle. Installation took two days. Bob and Jason were on-time, professional, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us apprised of what they were doing, and how long it would take. They answered any questions we had, their worksite was immaculate, and they left the premises cleaner than when they started. (Another installer - Greg - came mid-way through the 2nd day to install our new water heater). Same professional, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable approach. The installation team gave us a feeling of confidence that the install was done right. In summary, we feel that Precision delivered good value for money. They were priced under their competition (including a 75-gallon gas hot water heater included in their final price), their employees were on-time, knowledgeable, friendly, answered all questions, maintained a clean worksite, and gave us a tour of the system before they left the premises so that we'd know everything necessary. Just to be clear, the last thing we wanted to do was to spend $13,000 on a new HVAC system. But it was nice peace-of-mind finding a contractor who was as thorough and competent as this team was. And by the way, we can already see the benefits of an upgraded system as we've been able to set the A/C temp higher on this system than we could on our old system, and still have the house feel very comfortable. And it's so quiet, I've had to check the heat pump outside to make sure it's actually working - or place our hands in front of the vents to make sure air is actually coming out. I would fully expect, based on this initial experience, that subsequent visits and customer support will be every bit as good as our initial business dealings. Well done Precision! I have used them before and I originally got them through word of mouth. They are my providers and I got a furnace from them several years back and then I had to have an upgrade replacement this year. It is not that they did anything wrong, we had to work around with the oil tank so I ended up indiminating the oil and buying an air handler instead and they handled everything both the times. The price is good and they are very competitive. I originally contacted with them after checking with several other companies and I went with them because I liked their price and a friend had recommended them and the salesman seemed to very upfront about it. The quality was good and nothing to worry about. If I need them and I call they are very responsive. They are on time.

They are coming tomorrow and when I talked to them they seemed very professional and nice.

It was excellent. They were very informative, the man was very honest and worth with. I enjoyed talking with him. It was excellent customer service as far as an estimate went. They were slightly higher in price.

Mike is a very service-oriented, conscienctious business person. He followed up throughout the proposal stage, providing us the pros and cons with various options (repair, partial replace or full replace), and patiently answering our questions. His foreman, Lou, was able to creatively install a second brand new unit (traditional A/C, not high velocity) in a 85 year old house with minimal disruption to walls and ceilings. This was following three other companies who said it couldn't be done without adding drop-down duct work into rooms. The job was started on time and Mike followed up every other night of the install. The pricing was significantly lower than competitors. Precision Air, Heating and Cooling was recommended to us by a friend who used to be in the air conditioning business. The only criticism I would have is that I felt the workmen could have been a little neater, which is acknowledgeably a tough challenge when cutting through plaster walls and ceilings.

They also put in a whole house air filter so I used them again and they were pretty good. My standard is that I expect to get what I pay for. I am not looking for rocket science. I don't want to get robbed and I don't mind paying a little bit of profit but I expect to get what I pay for. After living here for a couple of years my personal opinion is that they didn't put in a big enough air conditioner because it is not pushing up enough air into the top part of my house. I think that was an error in judgment. The house isn't very big but there is a lot of ductwork so I was really relying on them to give me the correct system and my master bedroom upstairs is not getting quite the air that it needs. I fault them for not recommending a big enough system.

I have been impressed with their professionalism. I have not had any work done by them. They seem to be very knowledgeable and were recommended as experts in duct work. I wanted them to do some duct work in my previous air conditioning unit. I went on Angie's list and found good reports for them. That is why I wanted an estimate from them, but I went with another company. The reason I did not want to go with them is because they wanted to put a separate Mitsubishi system. I would need high power electric put in for that. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They are very responsive.

They were very polite and efficient. They came on time and did their work. There were no problems that I could think of.

I was able to make an appointment fairly quickly. It wasn't an emergency. It was a scheduled appointment. They did have to push me back a day because I think we had had a big snowstorm right around that time and I guess people had emergencies. I did get pushed back one day for my scheduled appointment, but I was okay with that. They came and did the work. I had no real issues with it. It took them a couple of hours to do it. However, I do have one issue and that is I believe that the technician or the plumber forgot to install something that is not necessarily required but is code in most counties in Pennsylvania. I am actually contacting them to see if they will resolve that. I would say that I had a generally positive reaction. I think my overall reaction is going to depend on how they respond to this particular request that I have. I had another plumber come in to do some other unrelated work to that. He pointed out to me that a pressure relief valve pipe needed to be installed so that should there ever be a problem, the water would actually be directed down to the floor. It's code so they should have known that. They were competitive with the other people I had spoken with. If they come out and do the work, I would be happier. When I made the appointment, they were very good with following up. It didn't take them very long to schedule an appointment for me. They were able to also give me a lot of information on the phone without requiring somebody to come out. They had already done some work here before so they were familiar with the property. They were very punctual. They had to knock me off a day, but we had a big huge snowstorm and I am sure a lot of people had frozen pipes and things like that. This wasn't an emergency situation. I would use them in the future if they resolve the issue.

The owner was good about coming out and going through all of our options. The workers took two days to complete the job. I only noticed one little ding in the wallpaper after they carried everything out and you can hardly see it. We did have a little problem with the water heater and they were able to come out within in one hour of our call to fix the problem.

Overall experience was good. Entire team was knowledgeable of product specs, and installation. Work was done on time and quickly. System was tested and explained.

He was on time (actually a little early). Adequately reviewed the problems and made a recommendation. He plans to call with replacement estimates later today or early next week. Thought that the visit went well.

Crew showed up right on time. Scott, the lead installer, fully explained what he was going to do for the day. Second day they worked late to get the system up and running and finished off the installation Saturday morning. Scott went over all aspects of the system and explained general maintenance requirements. They did a good job of cleaning up and left the work site as they found it. The company then followed up with a tin of cookies thanking me for their business.

I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE. ALTHOUGH THEY DID NOT FOLLOW MY REQUEST TO RUN THE AIR CONDITIONING LINES INSIDE THE HOUSE, THEY DID EVENTUALLY FIX IT. THEY REDEEMED THEMSELVES WHEN THEY MADE GOOD ON THE MISCOMMUNICATION.

RESPONDED QUICKLY TO MY CALL. DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND REPAIRED IT PROMPTLY, AT A REASONABLE COST.
