 + -1 moreThe do a great job and they have been doing work for us for about 8-10 years. We are very happy with them. We have a maintenance contract with them on our furnace. They come out right away when you need them. The technicians are always very polite, on-time, and they put booties on their feet so they don track stuff around the house.

We have been happy with their responsiveness. The technicians have all been extremely nice and professional.  + -1 moreI have been a customer of Morevent since June 2010. For a monthly fee they perform annual maintenance check on my HVAC, as well as responding to calls if I need service. The maintenance call usually lasts approx 2-3 hours. My system receives a thorough cleaning and parts are are replaced if needed. My current HVAC system is TRANE and is 14 years old. In fact it was the system in- stalled by the builder back in 2000. Great system, have experienced no major problems. My next scheduled maintenance will occur on 9/30/2014.

The way they explained it to me on how they were going to fix it on the phone definitely didn't happen when they came out. When they came the first time, they didn't clean it the right way. He was very unprofessional, said I couldn't call the boss. He wasn't doing anything he said he was going to do. By my standards it didn't match my expectations.

 + -1 moreOur AC Unit had stopped working during one of the hottest weeks this summer. I called and they had a service rep come right out. The rep was very polite and worked pretty quickly. He had the part that we needed so I didn't have to wait for it to be ordered and shipped. Our air was on later that day and it has worked fine ever since. I will deff use them in the future.

 + -1 moreHe was bad, very high pressure and morbid. It was pretty nasty and he spent so much time to evaluate everything; I believe over two hours. And he still wasn't done and he came back and it took him another hour. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. It was ridiculous. I never had that service provider be that kind of high pressured sales so I would give him a pretty bad grade. I never had the estimate stage. It's the worst. It was not a good experience. He came in and started of asking if how we're going to spend and he just laughed at that. It was almost confrontational. He did this whole house estimate but I got a feeling afterwards that it was a lot of tape measure throwing around and a lot of smoke in the areas. The push that they were they did a thorough job; maybe they did but I didn't like the approach at all. It was on time if that all that matters. It wasn't consumer friendly.

 + -1 moreI'll be the first to tell you that I am a real stickler for customer service and I am so pleased to report that our experience with Morevent has restored my faith that it does still exist. From the call to the office to schedule the service and installation to dealing with the professionals at our home, we couldn't be more pleased. George, our service technician, was also one of our installation technicians is a real gem in particular. He's professional, knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated. The install of our new Hvac system was a real bear. The system was installed in our attic, which is more crawl space than attic, so it was very difficult for him and his install partner Roger to maneuver themselves and the equipment. The total install took 14 hours, which included removing the old system, installing the new and replacing the condensers outside. Yes, it was a long, long, day, and the techs ran into several road blocks, but patience and professionalism were both maintained and they even put up with me checking on them because it was so warm that day, which made it downright hot in the attic. When we decided to get the new system, we met with a comfort consultant, Dan, at our home. He provided a tremendous amount of information, including a lot of technical information, for various systems. He also included prices, rebates and efficiency. Dan also measured each room to make sure that whatever we installed would be the most efficient. . It's important for me to point out that there was no pressure in his presentation. We didn't feel like we had to make a decision that night, which we didn't, but we felt armed with good, thorough information in order to make an informed decision. All in and it has been a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends.
Description of Work: Initial service on our old Hvac system. When the repairs for the current system were deemed not cost effective, we decided to look into our options for getting a new system. Our new system was installed in one day, although it was a very difficult job.

 + -1 moreI signed up for their $89 spring tune-up special on my 5 yr old Lennox a/c system. It was my first experience with this company. Technician James was very polite, professional, answered all my questions. Appeared to be very thorough in checking out my system. Went the extra mile to help level the outdoor unit where the pad it was resting on had sunk slightly along one edge. I feel the advertised services included with the tune-up were somewhat misleading. The write-up included "replacement of air filter", which apparently means if you have a new filter already on hand, they will put it in for you. My current filter was dirty, and I was told that a new one would be an extra $156 (somewhat less if I joined their service plan). Also included was to "apply protective coating to outdoor equipment". If there is such a coating, it is not readily visible on the outside of the unit or by looking down into the inside of the unit, and would have to have been applied right over the dirty surface. I neglected to ask about it before the technician left. So, I think this is a good company-- just ask questions ahead of time and be sure you know exactly what's really included and what isn't and review every point before the technician leaves (which I will do the next time).

 + -1 moreThis was A+ from start to finish. I called at 6:00 p.m. to schedule a service call for my AC which was not working at all. I spoke with a very polite and helpful woman who said they could get someone out to my house the next morning first thing (she did check to see if there was a technician who could come out that evening but said they had no one available). I was really happy that I would see someone the next morning. Then about 20 minutes later, I got a call from a gentleman named Brian who said they could have someone out to my house that evening (around 8 pm). "Great!" I said. Right on schedule, George the tech arrived and took about 20 minutes to assess the entire system.He was very polite and sat down to explain what was wrong with the system and explained that it would be $255.00 (which included the $99.00 fee to come out and do the diagnostic on it). Once again I was thrilled that the issue was not Defcon 5 and I authorized the work. George explained exactly what he would be doing and within about 45 minutes he was done and after the requisite paperwork, I had my air conditioning back on - 3 hours after calling for service!! Seriously, I am not sure I could have asked for more. But, I actually got more because George was nice enough to answer some questions I had about my current heating system and gave me a quick lesson on heat pumps. Nuff said'. I am totally thrilled with the service from this company and highly recommend them to anyone.

 + -1 moreEverything went very smoothly, even though it was raining out the day of installation. The two technicians setup a canopy outside where the A/C condensing unit was installed, moved a small bush that was obstructing the A/C system outside and reinstalled the edging and mulch to accommodate the new A/C condensing unit outside. Everything inside was kept clean. They did an outstanding job keeping the house clean and getting the job done in one day. The heat was back on that evening and functioning well. We've seen a significant change in our A/C electric bill by close to $200/month. Heating had small reduction, but old systems had failed several times after 13 years operation and needed to be replaced.
Description of Work: Replaced entire gas heating and electric A/C with new high efficiency systems. The new A/C is SEER 16; with new electronic variable speed fan, new condensing pump, all new lines and insulation, new coil. The new gas heating system is 96% efficient with new PCV pipe for air intake and low temperature exhaust. Work included ducting changes to accommodate new equipment, 10 year parts warrantee and three year full service contract.

After an initial scheduling glitch, the scheduler helped me work out the time to finish the work with one visit, and gave me deal on the heater checkup since the scheduling glitch was her error. Their pre-season tune up deal is about half the normal price, a great deal. The technicians are prompt, professional, and personable, they wear shoe-covers inside to keep your floors clean with going in and out of the house. This is the second year I've used Morvent and I see no reason to change, I'm very pleased with their work. (especially having been burned badly by previous contract with Superior Plus Energy.)

 + -1 moreI am a new first time homeowner, and was not truly sure what to expect out of each contractor that came out to my place, but Morvents has set the bar so far. My 27 year old A/C condenser wouldn't turn on. They quickly found out that the electric in the panel wasn't even connected, but it wasn't clear why. After I found out why, Morvents sent Keith out to complete the job, and he went above and beyond. Just as he was finishing his analysis, it started to thunder and rain (very hard). After a few minutes of waiting it out, Keith went out in to the pouring rain and finished fixing the unit. His attitude was great, he was really friendly, and he got the job done quickly - while standing in the rain. Thanks Keith!!

 + 0 moreThis is not a review of one experience, but rather a culmination of experiences. I have used Morvent's for the past 4 years and have had nothing but great experiences. Typically, I find monthly contract service teams to be a rip off, but Morvent's club membership is actually worth it. I spend about $22/month to cover yearly cleanings and repairs to my system. Virtually every part and labor issue is covered (unless my system completely shuts down and needs to be replaced of course) on my existing AC and furnace. These guys will do the dirty work and will not charge you any more should you get the highest tier membership. Well worth the $260/year which guarantees me 2 cleanings (one spring, one fall) and any number of on-demand calls for repairs or cleanings should something not be functioning right (and no "dispatch" charge on top of that). The guys are always on time and I have not been sold a bill of goods with them yet. Just one word to anyone who will sign up with them, they have to check out your AC and Furnace before you sign up for the contract as they have to make sure that nothing is wrong with it before you sign up for a membership. That is where you may end up paying a little more up front, but you have to expect that.

 + -1 moreMorvent came out to give me an estimate on replacing our AC unit. After an hour he said he would need to work up some numbers and get back with me. He said he would send me some numbers via email and then follow up. I NEVER heard back from him. No email, no call... Needless to say I purchased the new AC unit from another company. I just reviewed the company response. As an FYI, I told the person that I was weighing both options. If he was not planning to give me an estimate for a replacement system then I wished he hadn't promised to send me a quote. As you can see from my comments I did purchase a new system, not a repair.

Description of Work: Recently purchased 21 year home due to corporate relocation. Was aware I would need to replace HVAC system at some point, but after spending money on repairs to the system I had One Hour give an estimate on replacing the natural gas furnace and the heat pump. Was happy to see they applied the cost of the repairs they previously did to the final invoice of the new systems. Nice touch. I was a little surprised with the total cost of this system at over $16k, but then again I always purchase on quality--not price; and we did purchase the top of the line Luxaire furnace (Acclimate LP9C120D20MP11A at 98% AFUE) and heat pump with 15.5 SEER. Chris, their "Comfort Counselor" (i.e. sales rep) was absolutely professional, knowledgable, and very helpful in our selection. He applied absolutely no sales pressure and was one of the most courteous and friendly sales representatives we've ever dealt with. He also spent time discussing the ethics of the company as one of the main reasons why he works for them. That was good to know and I appreciated the sales rep confirming the company is commited to ethical conduct and practices. Chris did a thorough examination of our home to ensure our HVAC system was sized correctly and would function correctly. Many companies don't do this necessary work. We also purchased a whole house humidification system and complete air filtration system. Installation took two full days, as planned, but the new system is working very well (after 2 days). With this system we received a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger and the AC condenser--great benefits. Our installations guys did a great job with the install. They always covered their shoes when in the house and left our home neat and clean. The new system is very quiet and very efficient. Looking forward to many years of problem free comfort in the home. Oerall One Hour will exceed your expectations on quality and service. If you're looking for the bottom basement price, look elsewhere, they are not the low price leaders. My only quibble is they put the furnace door on upside down so the Luxaire name is upside down. I think I can remove and flip this, assuming they didn't do this for a particular reason. One Hour is a quality company and would definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreI awoke to find that my AC unit was not working. After researching on Angies List, I decided to call Morvents. It is a smaller company which is a plus in my eyes, and was not disappointed. There was someone who answered the phone when I called, was polite,very professional, asked appropriate questions, and set up a service call for today ( Sunday). The service technician arrived within 2 hours, introducing himself as George, told me of the service fee, and before he entered my house, he put on shoe coverings. He found that the issue was not with the unit, but was with an electrical generator box. But he did a quick check on the unit, changed the filter, and also checked the condenser outside. George was very friendly and knowledgeable. When he was finished, he gave me background on his company (he has worked there for 10 years), and explained their service contract pricing, but did not push me to sign. Incidently, I did sign up for the service contract because the coverage is great, and the pricing very affordable, and I was not strong armed into doing so. I would not hesitate to recommend Morvent's One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning.
