Description of Work: Throughout 15 years we used Bartlett Tree. Couldn't ask for better service from the phone call through execution of work. David Helliar has been a wonderful consultant and we couldn't be more pleased with all of the folks that came out through the years to care for our trees and shrubs including my husband's 11 European hornbeams who were his babies!!!

Description of Work: Pruned many trees (structural pruning) and treated diseaded weeping cherry. All very well done. They came over again in 2013 for treatment of 2 red maple trees, again with good success. What I like is that they maintain the structure of a tree, not just "cut" it. The trees all survived in the bad winter this year. They are a bit pricy.

Description of Work: Damaged trees from snow storm trimmed or rmoved; hanging branches removed; trees close to house trimmed back, trees cut down, etc. Also added additional work 2nd day - cutting back vines and testing an existing tree for disease. We live in an area with lots of older trees. Before the hurricane, I had been proactive and received estimates from two companies for tree trimming, removal, etc. The estimates were for $2,000 and $2,700 and addressed completely different trees, which concerned me. I didn't move forward with either estimate. After the snow storm, a neighbor hired Bartlett due to tree damage. As they were in the neighborhood, other neighbors had work done as well. I spoke with Scott Thatcher. He came right over to my property and provided a reasonable estimate. This one was in between the other two (cost-wise) I had received as well as a reasonable combination of the work that was estimated in the other two as well. I was provided with a written quote immediately - extremely professional paperwork with all the license information, right of recission, etc. as required by law. Much better than the other two estimates - one of which was verbal. Customer service is excellent, with updates as to arrival, speedy scheduling, etc. Can't say enough - great people to work with. This is a top notch service company. I have to say I did check reviews before hiring and I see some members mentioning price as an issue. First, I think the price is totally where it should be. Tree work is high-liability between injury and damage potential. Consumers should recognize insurance, training, expertise not to mention the correct tools and equipment is in the price. The work and service from this company is worth every penny. Expert tree work is not something I would cut corners on.

Description of Work: Fertilized trees and bushes, treated roots of plum tree to prevent Japanese beetles. Pruned off some insect larvae from one tree.
