Description of Work: We contacted Brett because he has A Ratings on Angie's List. He is a true "Professional" and very pleasant to work with. He is not a "pushy" agent. He took the time to listen to our situation and needs. After much consideration, he suggested that we hold off on selling until the market in our area improves. He gave us excellent advice. He also has a sharp eye for details to help improve the sale of the house. It is quite obvious that he has many years of experience in real estate coupled with knowledge of the latest technology. My rating for Brett is A+. In the future we will use his services when the time is right for us to sell our house and downsize. If you want a top professional who will be totally honest with you then Brett is your man.

My home was sold in only about 10 days. Along the way from contract to settlement, Brett handled some sensitive negotiations with my buyer where his experience and confidence were valuable. Communication was excellent. Brett returned my calls and emails very promptly. I recommend Brett with confidence.

+ -1 moreWe were so impressed with their knowledge of the real estate market, their ability to market our home for sale and their patience and tenacity in finding us a new home. They were very honest about how our house was going to sell in the current market, and after two other agents were not able to even get us a second showing on our home, they had our house under contract in under 30 days. Our experience trying to find a new home to buy was much more challenging than selling our former house was, and they very professionally navigated us through the process, providing support, feedback and experienced insight during the roller coaster ride that is buying a home. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
Description of Work: After having no luck with several real estate agents, we hired Brett Furman and Doug Scullin, who run the RE/MAX agency in Wayne/St. Davids, to sell our home and buy a new one.

+ -1 moreI feel that I would never have sold my home in 2001 had it not been for Brett's expertise. He helped me "show" my home to it's best advantage. He used cutting edge advertising , including a video presentation on the internet. He encouraged other realtors to show my home.He negotiated an extremely favorable price. Brett found me my forever home. My house is unique and suits me perfectly. Bret negotiated 65,000 off the asking price ( I kept wanting to give in and give the sellers $$ but Brett was perservering and fearless). I have recommended Brett to a number of friends and they have all come away singing his praises.
Description of Work: My house was up for sale for 3 months in 2001, through a local Real Estate Agency, with not even one offer. When my agent's contract ran out, I hired Brett Furman on September 1, 2001. The attack on our country took place on 9/11/2001. All business came to a halt and this included real estate transactions. Brett marketed my home, found purchasers and arranged the entire closing. He provided me with names of movers and house cleaners and walked me through the entire sales process. AND he found me a wonderful new home within my price range. Again he found me professionals to work with me. He introduced me to the home inspector and my mortgage broker. And he was there at my closing.
