Description of Work: TruGreen provided lawn care services for my residence for a few seasons. Service was terrible surpassed only by customer service which was worse than terrible. Would never do business with TruGreen again; company is not customer focused, services are mediocre at best. Lots of other providers in the landscape/lawncare arena - use someone else.

Description of Work: This time, specifically, slice seeding was performed- A little too early for when I requested, but not a big problem. Much time was spent on the service, and questions I asked were answered to my satisfaction. I didn't think the price was excessive for the service performed. |I also contracted with them to regularly address the lawn fertilization services throughout the year. Only one has been done because of my late sign up, but so far I am satisfied with the service- especially their notification of when services will be scheduled. |In addition, I think it should be noted that clients may choose to miss a service without penalty, as well as cancel services all together without penalty.

Description of Work: So they are still doing door to door sales, a little odd, but that is their method. The guy gave me the pitch asked for some info and ended up being over 30 minutes and a full quote for app. $600.00. Told him that I recently started to treat the lawn myself and would give it at least a month before I would look to change if it didn't work. The guy called back with in a week offering discounts, I was away on business so didn't call back. Then 2 more times this week. I called back and again offered more discounts. Overall not bad they are obviously working with a commissioned rep which in some ways in nice and you can EASILY get a discount if you ask. The only thing is the follow up, very aggressive and they don't pay attention to the timeline you lay out for them.

+ -1 moreThey forgot to tell me that I needed to water my lawn after they treated the lawn and the grass turned brown when it got real hot. I told them about the issue and it took them a couple of weeks to come back out. They springled seed on the yard and that it helped a lot. So all and all it worked out but I had a couple of weeks of brown grass.

+ -1 moreWe decided to move at the end of January so I called to cancel the service and get a full refund. They tried to transfer it to our new address, but I wanted to be reimbursed. I finally received my refund at the end of June after I submitted a Better Business Bureau complaint. It took close to 6 months to finally get my money back.
Description of Work: Offered a prepayment plan in order to get a discount on the yearly service - so we paid in full for service in December in anticipation of the spring lawn work.

+ -1 moreI DIDN'T THINK THIS COMPANY WAS THAT GOOD TO DEAL WITH. THEY GAVE US A CHEAP PRICE TO GET US AS A CUSTOMER AND THEN INCREASED THE PRICE BY 50% SUBSEQUENTLY. THEIR SERVICE WAS OK, BUT THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS NOT THAT GREAT.
