The owner was very communicative, answering all of our questions about availability, pet-friendlyness, etc... John came out for the first of the quarterly visits. He was punctual and really friendly... great guy. He let us know what we were entitled to as part of the service offering and was extremely thorough. All in all, we are extremely pleased so far. I suppose I cannot really comment on effectiveness since: A) We're not having any trouble right now B) Some of it takes some time to take effect That said, their service instilled confidence and they let me know that any issues that show up in-between visits are covered at no cost. Very happy. Thanks!

i t went great!! He arrived on time, gave great explanation of work to be done and locked up when finished. REAL PRO!!!

Office contacted employee on the road and he responded within 90 minutes. Came in, assessed the issue and proceeded to spray and then remove nest. Did a little sweeping up of pieces dropped on the floor, but not a thorough job. Some bees were found the next morning and are still being found. Probably those who were not at home at the time of the process. Left the removed insulation which could have contained more bees? Best thing I can say he came immediately and removed most of my concerns. There is a 60 day guarantee, so we will see if we need to call them back?

Had them out for an inspection and ongoing maintenance -- we love near a wooded area.

When I first found out we had bedbugs I was beside myself. After calling multiple companies, I finally reached Glenn from Newtown Pest Control. He was the most reasonable that I had found for pricing for heat treatment! He answered all of my questions and was prompt with sending me an email detailing steps that would need to be taken the day of the treatment. I was also able to reach him (without difficulty) before the scheduled treatment to answer some of my many questions/concerns! The day of the treatment they arrived on time and again were very comforting answering all my questions. It is a horrible feeling to have bedbugs and they were all very reassuring and made it a very easy process. It has been about 3 weeks since the treatment and no signs of any bedbugs since the treatment! It went quite well and the owner was extremely professional and customer oriented. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that needs a very good exterminator company.

They sprayed bee repellant around my yard which seemed to work pretty well. They set a cage to trap a ground hog, which has not been caught yet. They were supposed to go up into the attic because we have a mice problem; it was hot that day so they said they would have to come back. They have not come back to do the work in the attic. It was overpriced for the service.

I was sure I had small cockroaches in my garage! I called them and was so impressed by the knowledge shown in our phone call. We set up a time that day -- they called when they were on their way; they were on time, pleasant and professional. It turned out not to be cockroaches but a type of beatle. So I had them review what I thought was a carpenter ant problem which we 've already been treating for every year. They told me that in fact we didnt have carpenter ant but just a type of harmless flying ant. That was the BEST part about these guys -- they told me what I DIDNT have to treat -- no pushing for spraying or service plans. Just knowledge and professionalism. They didnt even charge me for the service call. So unlike the other pest control guys I've used. I would totally recommend them.

They were timely and very professional. The technician even put on booties the moment he walked into my home. I will definetly use them again.

These guys are great. We have been using them for about five years for quarterly pest control. Bugs, spiders, mice, etc. They come quarterly without fail. My wife often calls them between quarterly visits, and they come the same day or the next if it is late at night. We have had many mice between visits (mice scare the heck out of my wife), and we had a bee's nest in our front yard. They come immediately, and there is no extra charge for visits between the quarterly visits.

I used a dog to confirm that I had bed bugs on October 21, 2012. The company referred me to an exterminator who came into my home and chemically treated for the bed bugs. This company did not follow any of the standards for treating bed bugs and as a result, the bed bugs were dispersed from the second floor to the first floor. This company refused to retreat and wanted to "wait 15 more days to bring the dog back out to check". Bed bugs lay 5 eggs per day and hatch every 4-7 days. If I waited the additional 15 days, I would have had many more new bed bugs. I spoke with Glenn over the phone; he gave me a price based on square footage of the house. We scheduled the heat treatment to eliminate resistant bed bugs in less than a week. I did not need to be home. They heated the entire house, including the basement to 170 degrees - each room for 1.5 hours. The technician recommended having the area rugs cleaned; which I had done the next day. Glenn, the owner, had the technician treat the area rugs when they were returned to ensure that bed bugs were not brought back into the home. They were very responsive and answered questions promptly and returned multiple phone calls without hestitation. I have recommended this company to many people and organizations.

Not only did we save thousands in unnecessary treatment cost, but they also provide a report that certifies it bedbug free which is great because it gives me something tangible to present to the rightfully concerned residents and parents. Now we have tangible proof that there is not an infestation in the building and this will help put our residents', their parents', and my mind at ease. If we did need treatment, we would have chosen to use a thermal which is more expensive than a traditional chemical treatment, but is also more thorough. Glenn, the owner quoted us at 25%-50% less than the closest competing bid. There was no up selling involved, he showed up right when he said he would, and i got the sense that he likes what he does and that he has a fair and honest company. They did not charge for an initial consult, where some other companies wanted $175 just to come out. In matters of pest control, Newtown will be my first call going forward. I know that i am rambling and sound a bit like an infomercial, but when it comes to Philadelphia contractors, I am disappointed so often, that it feels great to actually share a positive experience for once. They were very good and knew what they were doing. They went through the whole house and they were great. They were very responsive since they were over very quickly.

We don't have redoents now. They are very expensive though. I would rate them an A except for their price.

I in good faith and trust contacted this company to mouse proof my home for the fall/ winter and spray for ants. I informed them I have four large labs who love to chew anything they perceive as a toy food- I expressed this multiple times. I was assured that they were 100 percent animal proof/ safe. The following morning I found an opened bait box in my garage with the contents absent and three dogs around it. I called the business asap and they could not tell me the name of the poison. I rushed my pets to the vet and eventually was given a call back from the business who gave me the name but could not tell me if it would harm my pets. I asked for the owner to call me and suggested they cash my check under the circumstances. My pets were treated with a traumatic series of induced vomiting and digesting charcoal. The owner called me back and told me this was not his problem, he would be collecting his fee, and that unless my dogs had thumbs they could not have opened the box. As they do not have thumbs I can only assume the box was never closed properly. Tragically one of our beloved dogs died several hours later from a massive seizure. We never heard a word from the business and our check was cashed.We asked the business to remove all outside bait boxes the day of the incident which they stated they did. Two weeks later I received a call from my daughter who came home to find yet another box open in the driveway with the contents absent. Again we had to spend time, money, and great stress at the vet.luckily the animals were ok. A call to newtown pest resulted in them saying it was not their box. As we had no other exterminators out it had to be theirs.I checked with the EPA website and the agent/ poison they use is on a list to be banned as a threat to children, pets, and non targeted wildlife. This certainly does not in any way confirm their claim of safety and honesty. How frightening- they are using an agent in their mouse bait boxes under review by the EPA to be removed from use! Please beware!!
