McBrothers Overhead Doors

Installation and maintenance went well. The technician worked for hours, assembling the new openers and the tracks they used and installing them on the existing garage door opener mountings (and using the existing internal wiring). He also performed maintenance on the doors, installing new roller wheels, adjusting the springs, and he installed a new safety wire on the tension springs, explaining that should one of them snap the new wire he installed would keep them from whiplashing and injuring someone. He also installed the new pushbuttons near the home entrance door and installed the external command pads that came with the openers that I had ordered. On a separate note, a week or so later one of the operators ceased to work. I called and scheduled a follow up appointment. The technician came this morning and isolated the problem to be with the existing internal wiring. He installed a new wire from the operator to the pushbutton by the entrance door and everything is working fine now. I really appreciate my dealings with McBrothers. If I ever need service again I will surely call them.

From start to finish it was a pleasure. Could not have gone better. Then around April, 25th 2015 one of my cables snapped in the middle of the line. This is not a line that they installed but rather the one I already had. They did adjust the cable when doing the overhaul. Because I was so happy with the service they provided previously I contacted them again through this site. I emailed them late Sunday evening and received a response early Monday morning. I spoke with the representative and a few hours later they had someone at my house to repair the door. Awesome! When the repair was completed I was ready to write a check for the repair, but they did not charge me a single cent! Said it was under their warranty. I never expected that! FANTASTIC COMPANY! If you need a garage door or repair they will do right by you, they certinally have for me!

After leaving a message for the company through Angie's List, they called me back promptly the next day to set the appointment. We set it for between 1-3pm today because I knew I would be away in the morning. Nevertheless, they showed up at 10:45am, only to find no one home. The repairman did call the office and was then informed that he was supposed to arrive between 1-3pm, so there was a mis-communication at their end. But it really didn't affect me, since he came back between 1-3pm anyway. He quickly assessed the problem which was a loose connection in one electric eye and a worn gear assembly in the motor. Replaced the gear, adjusted the travel, lubed the system to run smoothly, checked that the remote control worked properly, and voila. We were done. The work was excellent, no attempt to oversell me anything that wasn't needed. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone based on this experience, and plan to call them again in the future for my other garage door when we're ready to get that one fixed. My garage door suddenly stopped opening. The opener lifted it about one foot and then abruptly stopped. I tried to remedy it but didn't have any luck. I searched Angie's List and selected McBrothers Overhead Doors based on their excellent reviews. I wasn't disappointed. I called on a Friday and they came out on a Monday, which was fine since I just used the door manually over the weekend. Two techs (I'm sorry I can't remember their names) called ahead and then showed about 1:00. They examined the problem, adjusted the opener, then applied spray-on lubricants to the door (rollers, track, and hinges) and the track of the opener. They then straightened the opener track so it was attached perpendicular to the door. Excellent crew, informative and personable, for a fair price. Very satisfied with McBrothers.

Chris and Jimmy arrived on time and removed the existing garage doors prior to installing 2 new ones. They were accomodating and professional and cleaned up after the job was completed. They also removed the 2 garage door pads that were not functioning and replaced with one pad that controls both doors and programmed every garage door opener to function each door. They were very knowledgeable and shared that knowledge regarding cleaning and upkeep wth me willingly. I already have recommended them to several people.

The two guys that came were very professional and pleasant. They came on time and completed the job within the time frame that I was quoted 3 - 5 hours depending on the removal of the old garage door. They cleaned up any debris from the old and new door. They even wiped the new door down to remove fingerprints and dirt. They showed me how to use the keypad and what to do if there was a power outage. I can't say enough good things about this company! I would recommend to anyone needed a new garage door!

We had problems with our existing garage doors with one coming off its tracks and it would not close. Fortunately, they were able to come rather quickly to temporarily fix the old doors to a working condition, which involved two visits and some temporary parts. This guided us over until the new doors were ready and then this were installed. This was all over the course of a few weeks. They were punctual, professional and a pleasure to interact with. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. Great experience!

Our garage door had an intermittent problem where it would only open a few inches at a time in cold weather. The techs from McBrothers serviced the door for us. They replaced the rollers, wheels, applied lube and balanced the door. For the first time since we've owned our home, the door goes up and down quietly without violently shaking. Thanks!

It went very well. I have an older house so it was a difficult installation however they did a very nice job considering the obstacles.

One of the garage door springs broke on a late Saturday afternoon, and I was unable to open the heavy garage door, trapping the cars inside. I called the owner, Pat, directly, and he offered to come out that night and make a temporary repair so we could get the door open. We instead scheduled it for Sunday morning., and Pat came out to fix it himself Because the springs were almost ten years old and had to be replaced I decided to replace the contractor grade chain drive garage door opener with a belt drive operator with a more powerful motor. The company's installers came out on a very snowy Friday afternoon to do the work, and were a cheerful and professional group. I'm pleased with the service and would strongly recommend this company to anyone needing repair work for a residential garage door. Please note that I did not shop for price, preferring quality and prompt service over price.

A spring broke on one of our garage doors, and the door could not be opened with the opener or by one person. Within 2 hours of my calling McBrothers, a technician arrived. He assessed the problem and gave an estimate of the cost of repair. He also offered to perform preventive maintenance on both garage doors. I agreed that this would be a good idea. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. I was very grateful for this prompt service since we were leaving town the next day.

Jules and Alex from McBrothers Overhead Doors did a complete Garage Door Overhaul. They changed the rollers, the cables, sheaves, added safety cables to the door, lubricated, serviced the garage door motor and balanced the door. My garage door stopped working. I called McBrother's and we agreed an appointment time but before hanging up he asked me a few questions about the symptoms, from which he suggested a few things I could try myself. When I did these the problem went away. I called back to cancel our appointment and to thank him for his service. A refreshing professional experience.
