Excellent - their service is terrific. They have a human voice on the other end of the phone - a big one for me. It saves me from having to play phone tag. They came on time, were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable, took the time to answer my questions with thoughtfulness, were neat and even made some suggestions of some things I could do to save more. What I realized from all of this is that having a company that I feel comfortable with and who will have my back in an emergency is something I have wanted for a long time. I finally took the time to find a firm that has the integrity to protect their customers and deliver truly great service.

Both technicians were very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and always explained what and why they were doing. We thought the prices for both houses were a bit high but you get what you pay for and so far the corrections seem to be good. The tech for the rental had to update the piping under the sink to code so maybe that was the cause for the high price. I asked him to disconnect the water pipe to the broken dishwasher which he did with no extra charge. The tech to our home put booties on and also was very professional, explaining all he did. He had to replace the garbage disposal explaining the differences in upgrades as the disposals have changed since we got ours 12 yrs ago. He replaced the flapper in the downstairs toilet and a minor rebuild on the upsatirs toilet- both toilets functioning better. This tech discussed the "comfort Club" membership, decreasing our charges. The tech at the rental did not offer this service. Overall we were pleased with the work and the techs. We would use them again esp since we know about about the discount services.

The company was very reasonable in pricing and did some minor faucet and toilet work repair. They were very professional and on time. They also cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them.

We used McLoughlin regularly. They are always prompt and courteous and even wear shoe covers in the house. We called them for an emergency burst pipe in the winter and they came out within the hour. Since then they have become our go to plumber

The gave us the wrong information to the availability of parts. They wanted to charge me several hundred dollars to put a new hole in the tub. When I had spoken with them, they called me a liar. I had never been spoken to like that before. I did have someone else come out and they were able to fix it for $25, plus the service call.

Our family was in need of a solution to our heating and AC issues on the second floor or our home. We carefully evaluated all of the options, read reviews, and evaluated a few estimates before deciding on McLoughlin. From the moment we contacted McLoughlin to obtain a quote, we could tell they were different from the other companies we contacted. They were professional but also operated like a small, family owned business. McLoughlin promptly responded to our request for a quote and sent a very experienced representative, Jim, to evaluate the issue and provide us with a comprehensive list of options. Jim was very knowledgeable and patient in answering our questions and helping us work through the decision making process. When it came time to get the job done, the workers arrived on time with all necessary equipment and operated professionally. Throughout the process, they were not only competent but also respectful of our time and home. They left our home clean every afternoon. In addition, they were able to complete the job ahead of schedule. Our family couldn?t be happier with the new system on our second floor or our experience with McLoughlin. We strongly recommend this company to anyone!

The only positive part of my experience with McLoughlin was that a plumber was scheduled for the next day after my call to give me an estimate for the job and do the hook up. I was told the plumber would arrive between 8am & 8:30am. The next day the plumber eventually showed up at 9:10am. He walked in with his Dunkin Donuts coffee in hand. The plumber looked at the gas dryer and gas line. He proceeded to call the office to ask where he could buy the hose and fittings for the hook up. Then the plumber informed me that this gas dryer hook up would take a half a day to complete at a charge of $1000.00! Which was an outrageous price for such a job. I paid the $49.50 travel charge and obviously did not accept McLoughlin's estimate. As soon as he left, I called another plumber who came out that afternoon. This plumber had all the necessary supplies on his truck as I would expect. He performed the gas hook up in 1 1/2 hours and charged me $275.00. Needless to say, I will never use McLoughlin plumbing again.

Arrived on time. Wore shoe covers to protect floors. Immediately proceeded to basement and completed work within the hour. Peasant demeanor. Not overly chatty.

Unfair not to disclose there would be an additional charge ($194.89) when I made the appointment, in addition to their $49.50 charge just to come out. Overcharged ($244.39) for diagnosis (MISdiagnosis) of problem with no work performed at initial visit.

The plumber fixed the broken pipe in about 5 mins. That cost me @ $350.00 I made the mistake of asking for a quote for a new heater. THEN came the full court press. The quote was very high. Not only are they plumbers but they are HARD CORE salesmen. Very pushy

The technician arrived on time and did a very thorough job investigating the problem. He said the 22 year old unit had an electrical short and it would not be cost effective to fix. I asked for a quote to replace it and he said the owner would get back to me. Mr. McLoughlin emailed the proposal this morning. For a 2 1/2 ton Carrier 13.00 SEER central air unit with new coil, revising the duct work to accommodate the new coil, condensate drain line and pump plus a Honeywell Pro 6000 programmable thermostat the base price was $3841.00. Mr. McLoughlin explained that even though my 7 year old York furnace and coil were in good condition, he felt it was necessary to also replace the furnace with a Carrier furnace to make it compatible with the air unit. The furnace would cost an additional $1480 for an 80% efficient furnace to $2831.00 for a 95% efficient furnace. If I wanted to upgrade the air conditioning unit to a 16.00 SEER high efficiency unit, it would cost an additional $779.00. Total for the high efficiency air conditioner and furnace including all the extras came to $7451.00. While I greatly appreciate the time and professionalism of the McLoughlin team, I feel this is out of my price range and I will be looking for other options.

The work was done over a 2 day period by two different techs. Day one was the easy part... in and out in no time at all. Day two was a little tricky however. The new vanity didn't fit as a pipe sticking out of the wall hit the drawer support in the vanity. After getting my OK to cut a little notch in the drawer support and putting an elbow in the pipe, Mike was able to install the vanity perfectly! The toilet was cleaned up, had new guts installed in it, and reseated. It's an older 3.5 gallon/flush toilet so I'm glad McLoughlin was able to clean it up and get it working properly. Everyone at McLoughlin Plumbing is very professional... from the owners, to the techs, to the office staff. I've used other plumbers in the past and I keep coming back to McLoughlin. While they're a little pricey, you get exactly what you're paying for. The job is done right the first time!

Serviceman came on a Sunday. I called several Angie's list providers, but could not get any live person. Finally, I got a hold of McLoughlin and they were the only ones who said they could come. He told me he had another call and would call me when he left, which he did. He came that afternoon, cleaned and checked heater for safety and was able to uncover a couple of parts that were on their last legs and were ready to break - recommended replacement which he did. I was very happy that he was able to service the heater and find the parts that were not going to last and replace them. I did purchase a plan, so that caused the bill to go higher -I don't really recall the exact price.

Dan was on time. He did boiler inspection and noted hot water heater blew off valve. Was past due for replacement(safety) good communication. Time for completion.

I received an estimate from Jim, who came to the new house and went through my options with me. He was right on time, professional and willing to take the time to explain the differences in heating/cooling options with me. he also explained follow up questions after I received estimates. I ended up going with my current plumber/heating contractor but McLoughlin's was a close second because of Jim's expertise and professional manner. I would definitely go too them in the future with any heating/cooling job and feel confident that I was getting a fair price with a quality company.

The workers arrived on time with all necessary equipment and the work proceeded very professionally. The system was drained and the old system was removed. The new boiler was installed with the Outdoor Reset control and new thermostat. The new system was refilled and tested. The work was completed in less than 8hrs. The process was also very clean due to the floor, carpet, and stairs having been covered with a large sheet of plastic tape material which was easily and cleanly removed when the work was completed. I am very happy with the work and would use McLoughlin again.

Excellent customer service. They arrived on time or communicated that they were running late. That was much appreciated. McLoughlin Plumbing was willing to work with me on price offering several comparable options to fit my budget and need. The men who came to install the new system were professional, cleaned up after themselves. Their footprint was barely noticeable except that the house was now nice and cool. Thanks!!!!

He was professional, showed up when he said he would and seemed to know what he was talking about. The estimate amount was around $ 6485. He was very good and very detailed.

I have an annual contract with them. They are always on time and very responsive. They are good.

They showed up on time. They put on booties as soon as they entered so not to track in dirt. Extremely professional. Performed the job to perfection. The dishwasher had to have the old front panel removed and placed on the new dishwasher. He made sure it was balanced/even and aligned. He finished the job in a reasonable amount of time. They were more expensive than a general contractor but having a certified plumber made me confident the job was done correctly.

When our old oil boiler leaked and flooded our basement early one Sunday morning, we called McLoughlin and they responded to the call immediately. They came out within a couple hours and vacuumed up the mess and diagnosed the problem. We faced the fact that our boiler was shot. We realized that this was our chance to switch from oil to gas, but we weren't 100% sure that that was the right thing to do. We then interviewed six different Heating/AC contractors, learned about boilers, got prices and information from all of them. We compared various boilers and researched independently online. After all that, McLoughlin came out on top; they were prompt, efficient in how they communicated and the second-to-lowest price. Most of all, I felt that I could trust them. It was getting cold out, and Bill said he needed 2 weeks but could do it earlier if we really needed him to. The weather held out and we were fine. Three guys came early on the day they were supposed to; worked efficiently and thoroughly and cleaned up everything afterward. The oil tank removal as subcontracted and they did a good job. The boiler is much smaller than our old one and looks great. Bill followed up afterward. I would use McLoughlin again in a heartbeat.

After taking care of all the permits, they came to the house and, when needing to come inside, the first thing they did, was lay cloth down on the floor so that their foot prints and dust didn't get onto the floors - this was not something I had ever had a contractor do. Not only were they responsive within a couple hours to any questions, they have been responsive to every question I have had - even after the project was done! This means to me that they don't see our relationship ending when the project is complete. I would recommend this company 100% to anyone looking for Heating / AC / Plumbing services. I was 100% pleased with their work.

So on friday morning the carbon monoxide sensor in my basement went off - twice. I called around to find someone to come and take a look and McLoughlin was the first place that a) could come that day and b) had a real CO detector. A technician came at about 11AM and measured high levels of CO in the basement when the boiler was turned on. After looking at it, he said it was totally rusted out and unfixable (it is almost 30 years old). Also, that the chimney was partially blocked by rubble and that it needed to be lined. So I needed it replaced ASAP (especially with 2 little kids in the house). They sent me a variety of quotes for various replacement strategies by 430 PM on friday. My wife and I also decided to get a new hot water heater while we were at it since out old was in need of replacement. I did not bother getting comparisons b/c a) the quotes looked pretty reasonable and b) I wanted the work done fast. I talked with a sales guy on saturday about which options I wanted and on monday by 11AM there were three guys at my house tearing out the old system. They put in the new system on tuesday and we had heat and plentiful hot water tuesday night. The service guys were all very polite and professional. They didn't make a mess (or they cleaned up very nicely). So far I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and the level of responsiveness. I don't have a real opinion about the price but I think that it was pretty reasonable also.
