One Call Clean Out

IJohn at One Call Cleanout gave me a verbal quote several weeks ago. At that time I indicated that there would be several additional items that would need to be removed and a final price would be given upon inspection. I was completely satisfied with the final price when the guys showed up for the removal process. Mike and Kyle arrived a little early and called ahead to make sure that it would not be a problem. They were professional, personable and courteous and overall were a pleasure to deal with. They efficiently carted the junk out and made sure that the job was complete. I would have no hesitation in calling One Call Cleanout for future work and highly recommend them to others needing their service.

My mother passed away last month, and we are putting here house up for sale. Though she had begun cleaning out a few years ago, there is inevitably stuff left over. In addition to beat (and some salvageable) furniture there were some difficult-to-dispose-of items such as ancient 1960's TV hulls and esoteric and heavy electronic equipment my dad had hoarded. Also, there were the typical mattresses, old tires, debris, shelving units, etc. We had pretty much filled a large two-car garage with everything. The crew was very nice about rounding up the few basement items and few chests-of-drawers etc. from the bedrooms. They were scheduled for 9:30 on a Saturday, and arrived at 9:27. Very punctual. We were skeptical that the trailer and van they had brought would have the capacity needed, but the crew told us they hear that all the time. Their expertise with a sledge hammer and side panels and tie-downs proved them right. The two young men who arrived were polite, cheerful and articulate, and far more professional than one typically finds in the physical professions (such as movers.) Obviously the Economy has upped the ante for the labor market. As an example of their integrity, we found a pile of loose change after they had left , which had obviously been found in the sofa cushions. After having had my car console ransacked of parking-meter quarters by a mechanic recently, you can imagine what kind of an impression THAT made !! Compared to the the financial cost of renting a 20-yard roll-off dumpster PLUS the physical cost of moving tonnage like that on a middle-aged body, this was the bargain of the century. The quote was very accurate and very fair. This was probably the most positive experience on could imagine from any kind of service provider.

I finally got motivated to clean the garage and called John on a Thursday. He was available on Saturday- his availability was much appreciated. He showed up on time and worked quickly. I will use him again when i get motivated to clean the basement.

John showed up with two crew members and my yard was cleared very quickly. Everyone was very friendly. Days earlier I had a 1-800 company come by and their best price was 300, which I turned down. After sending John a cellphone picture of the pile of wood he was able to commit to 250 and he stuck to his commitment. I know that everybody has to make a buck, but I installed the fencing myself to save money. So I wasn't about to give a big chunk of it back for hauling. I would suggest that anyone do what I did and send a cellphone snapshot of the job to see who can give you the best price.

Great company. if you want to support a local business and one that provides both removal of good items that they will resell and also one that takes away junk this is your company. I had lots of stuff in lots of areas I wanted to get rid of and didn't want to call 2 different service providers to take it away. this company does it both! They removed the items I had in around 45 minutes.

the classic bait and switch. i spoke with john over the phone and told him i had 360 sq feet of wood flooring, 24 construction bags filled with floor refinishing dust, drywall from knocking down one wall, 2x4s, wood paneling etc. he said it would be cheaper if i got all the trash next to the driveway so i did. he gave an initial quote of $225 and said it may be more when he sees it in person, but will absolutely not go over $300. when he arrived he said it would cost $20 more, totaling $245 AND he wouldn't be able to fit everything in his trailer. i said ok to the new price of $245 and told him to leave just the bags of dust (about 8 bags). he loaded the trailer and when he came to collect the check there were 15 bags left over. i said what about those bags? i thought you were going to take all but a few? he then said "you need to work with me here. i'll take those bags for another $100." i said but i already did work with you- you said you needed another $20 and i said ok, you said you needed to leave a few bags here and i said ok. he then said that the wood flooring was heavier than he expected (this is confusing to me because wood flooring is not a mystery weight). and the bags of floor dust were heavier than he expected. he then said that he was doing this job for free at this point and not making any money. then he threatened to unload everything he had already loaded and leave- very unprofessional. there was still room left in his trailer for the bags, but he wanted another $100 to load them. that would have totaled $345. i said no and now i am left with many bags and will have to make a trip to the dump myself since my township won't pick up construction materials. i am very disappointed.

He called me to let me know that they don't service my area. He was wonderful when I spoke with him. I am now getting a refund through Angie's List for this Big Deal.

Estimate was over the phone based on my descriptions. Prompt scheduling and update call on day, time of arrival. Whole process took less 2 hours. Great job and glad to have this all out of the way.

Very personable guys, and good natured about their job. I like that their outfit checks to see if things can be recycled or donated before throwing things directly into the landfills. I did forget to mention that I was an Angie's List customer and ask about the discount, so I missed out on that.

They weren?t clear about the estimate vs. what it was really costing. It was confusing when they got there; when they got there I thought that some of my things would be worthy enough for them to give me a credit or even donate. They just tossed things in the garbage. I was also very underwhelmed by their truck. They were very, very nice people, but I expected them to be ten times more professional from the truck they drove to the guys, to the way they orchestrated everything.

It went like clockwork. Since I was the second job of the day, John called me by phone two or three times to keep me up to date on the exact arrival time for the crew. In fact they came 1-1/2 hours earlier than originally scheduled which was great with me. John, of course, called to make sure it was convenient. They moved all items carefully, no damage to the house or belongings, and then drove 2 miles to my friend's house. There they took the band saw to the basement, the recliner chair to the second floor, and then removed two old couches and moved a third one from the basement to the garage for later pick-up by a family member. The 5 County crew had to remove the legs from the band saw to get it in the friend's basement which was unexpected, and dis-assembled a hide-a-bed couch in the upstairs to safely remove it from the house. John not only managed the dispatch and coordination but also came over to the house to personally assist in all the moving and he and the others, Mike and Richie, were friendly, polite and professional. They couldn't have done more.

John returned my telephone call within a few hours. He listened to my description of the items to be removed and quoted a price range (between $175 and $300). We set a date for the following week. Peter and Rich arrived on time and gave me a price of $250.00. They began to work and, in less than an hour, they had loaded everything! I was amazed! From start to finish, this company provided excellent service and everyone I encountered was professional, yet warm and friendly. Highly recommended!

They did not keep their appointment nor call to reschedule or explain why they did not attend

Now i have room to expand. All went well.

I have to say that I think I challenged Mike and John's capacity for removal. They took away a huge load, and came back for another. Then one more medium load took care of the rest. The heat, amount of junk to clean out, and multiple trips did not phase them in the least. They were always polite, professional and kept me aware of when they would be arriving each time. I was very happy with the service and friendly, service oriented attitude that was demonstrated by all of the guys. Mike, John, Pete and Justin did a great job! Thank you. Excellent work, efficient, and a more than fair price.

From the start to finish this company was excellent to work with. An estimate was provided within 24 hours of the initial contact. The price was very reasonable. The crew arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They removed a very large pile of debris from our backyard.During the loading of the material the crew continually asked if the job was being performed to our satisifaction. In conclusion this company is prompt, professional, courteous and very affordable. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a clean up.

In a nutshell, Amazing!! The owner John was the one who originally quoted the job. He was so polite from the time we met him and provided an on-the-spot a quote until the moment the truck arrived!! He kept us informed minute by minute on the arrival of the crew. Mike is the other owner and he was on site for the job along with another team member, whose names has slipped my mind. The crew of two were the nicest, hardest working guys ever! You would never think these guys remove junk based on their professionalism, personalities and communication skills. If you saw the amount of debris that they were able to load into their truck you would never believe it. I even took pictures to show my friends. When I added some extra items at the last minute, the price was so reasonably increased that I knew these are good guys and looking for long term business and HONEST . I would rate this company an A+ for price, quality of work and most of all professionalism and for being good human beings. . I will never use a horrible drop off/self load dumpster again (and I had two previously) when I can have aggravation free junk removal by 5 County Clean Out Svs. I just wish I discovered them sooner!!

Top notch service, work and professionalism and HONESTY!

I checked the prices of a few of the national franchise junk haulers and they were all twice as much or more as 5 County. Scheduling a time that worked for me was easy, and they were friendly, professional and on time. (They actually had the courtesy to call to let me know they were running a few minutes late!) They were in and out quickly and I'd definitely use them again.

5 County Cleanout arrived on time with a crew of five workers, including the two owners. We toured the house to confirm what was being removed and what was staying. They spent about 3.5 hours sorting and removing the contents. They were fast and efficient, and asked questions to make sure they did not take the few pieces that were going to stay. After finishing cleaning out the attic, they swept it out. Where ever there wasn't carpeting, they swept up. Near the end, John, one of the owners, asked me to start checking the rooms to see if there was anything left that should have been removed. Other than a couple of things, everything to be removed was, after they were finished. The house was ready for the cleaning crew.

I received a call from John within 24 hours of purchasing his services. He was friendly and very professional. He and his partner came the next week to remove a few very large pieces of furanture from my basement, as difficult task since I have U-shaped stairs. They were careful not to scrape the floors or damage my hardwood floors. I was very happy with the services that were provided.

Several boxes and bags of debris were removed from my basement. They guys were quick and friendly. When they arrived they realized that we misjudged the volume of items that needed to have removed and were concerned that it may not all fit in their truck (what was there was almost twice as much as I had estimated...I realized I'm not so good at translating boxes and bags into pounds). They found a way to make it all fit.I am planning to use them again as we clear things out in preparation for selling our home. I highly recommend them!

John and helper were punctual. They hauled very heavy material up the stairs and were careful not to scrape the floors or damage our new kitchen cabinets as they carried the junk out of the house. They worked without stopping for about two hours until everything was removed. They were both very friendly and professional. This was a difficult and dirty job and I was happy with their exceptional effort.
