I recently purchased a new home and wanted to have the house painted before we moved in. Further, we were moving from out of state, so most of the communication occurred via e-mail and phone calls. We obtained quotes from three service providers. Adam was very responsive to my request on Angie's List. My availability to meet with Adam was limited, as I was only in town for one weekend to meet with the various contractors. Adam arrived at the apointment on-time, and spent some time discussing options with my wife and I. As part of the project, we wanted to have an eproxy finish applied to the garage floor. While the other contractors simply said that we would need to wait until spring for it to be warmer, Adam offered a different solution that allowed us to finish the floor prior to moving into the house. As it relates to the quote, Adam provided a quote that was between the other two; however, I decided to go with him due to his responsiveness and professionalism. Also, knowing that the work would have to be done unsupervised (i.e., while we were out of state), I felt most comfortable having Adam and his team access the house while we were away. It took Adam and his team about a week and a half to complete the job. Since we could not be there on site, Adam sent periodic status pictures so we could see how the work was progressing. The finished product looks great and the team did a great job keeping the site clean (e.g., there were no drip marks on the trim, floors, or cabinetry.) Its also important to note that I had a trim contractor in the house during the same period of time to install a coffered ceiling in the family room. Adam did a great job of working with the other contractor to coordinate schedules. I appreciated that the two teams were able to manage the details among themselves. Adam also showed great flexibility being able to start the job, stop while the trim contractors were on-site, and then come back to finish the ceilings onces the other contractors left. I've already ask Adam about doing another little project for me.

A.R.T. Was the only painting company that I contacted who would do the job this Autumn. Adam came right out and provided a quote. Within a couple of days his workers arrived to paint. They were neat and fast. They were also very nice. There were a few places that were overlooked and Adam came right out to paint them.

Called to schedule an appointment. On the day of the appointment I was sick so cancelled early in the day. Adam said he understood and would call me the next day to reschedule. I never heard from him again. Would not use him if he can't even call back - how would I know that he would show up for the job when he says he would.

I have a split entry that I wanted them to paint so it wasn't really three rooms of paint, really it was more like one and a half but the ceilings would have been extra he said he could include the ceilings since I didn't need the full three rooms but when I talked to him before he said he would charge for the ceilings and the trip would be included. So the extra cost came from the trim and patching. I don't think he remembered what we initially talked about. I think he should have written things down and give an itemized estimate or something. The work they did was very good and the were very nice and professional.

Overall, Adam and team were superb, and I would recommend them without any hesitation to anyone here on Angie's List. Adam, who owns the business, was a thorough professional, right from the time he responded to our Angie's List request for a free quote, to the very last day. A testament to their capability to do a great job is that my kids even started bonding with Adam and team! They were always very responsive to our needs, concerns and wishes. We were free to change our minds and they were ok with us giving them some direction, although they worked very independently and effectively. Adam's passion for his work was pulsating through every minute of his work. His passion was also rubbing off on his team members. Adam is very detail oriented and patient. The full job took longer than expected, but we were totally ok with that, and not in a hurry. We could see that Adam was pouring his soul into the work, as were many of his employees, and we just let them do their magic. The house looks great! We love the colors and we would recommend ART to anyone in a heartbeat. You could not ask for anything more when you are looking for great, reliable, passionate folks to revitalize your home with paint!!

I can't make enough good comments about Adam and his crew. This is the team you want in your house. He was 20%-30% lower cost than my other two estimates. All of his guys are experienced, conscientious and professional. Adam supervised the job personally and has high standards for quality work. He underestimated the schedule by a bit but was committed to quality over speed. I would definitely use this company again.

Adam and his crew did a great job while accommodating a rushed schedule. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. After complete, they quickly addressed a couple of little places that needed a touch up. I recommend ART positively without reservation.

They were pretty good. They had missed a couple of spots but they came back after a couple of days and fixed it; I was satisfied. Except for a couple of spots that they missed the painting was fine; the painting looks good. It was not messy or anything.

Adam and his crew were efficient from bid to finish. Very easy to work with and very clean. I would and will call them for future jobs in my home.

The job was beautiful. The workers were professional and friendly and they did a fantastic job. In one of the bathrooms, there had been wallpaper on the walls and underneath the paper the walls were a mess. They did a terrific job repairing the walls and the painting looks wonderful. I am so pleased with the work and would definitely use them again.

It went great. Adam & company arrived on schedule, and quickly moved and covered furniture and floors. I was amazed at how fast they worked and yet were so careful. They were courteous and extremely accommodating. They completed the entire job in 1 1/2 days. They carefully cleaned up and put all of the furniture back which would have been way to heavy for me to handle alone. The rooms had dark wood trim and they were so careful not to get paint on the wood. The plaster work is perfect. I am extremely pleased with the work they did and Adam was so nice to work with. I highly recommend A.R.T.

I couldn’t say enough good things about them. They went well above and beyond the call of duty. They worked very well around our schedule and were very professional. The quote was so great that we ended up having them paint the entire house. The crew was professional and great! They completed detailed work with the baseboards, crown moldings, chair rails, and picture-frame moldings. They did an excellent job and it came out perfect. They worked here for days. We even had to delay them because of hurricane Sandy. They were happy to reschedule and come back after we had repairs completed. They even installed our chandelier and rewired it for us. They were here for several weeks and my wife felt comfortable being here alone with them. Adam is the owner and he is very accommodating, friendly and easy to work with. They have great pricing and we would highly recommend them. I would hire them again.

Came out and was shown the three rooms that we wanted painted. He was told all that was to be done which was a considerable amount of trim in two of the rooms. I also wanted the ceilings painted and an area on the ceiling fixed. One of the room is a den with built in book case and I told him I wanted all the shelving and cabinets painted. I also have I large fireplace mantel and trim all that I wanted painted. I knew this was over and above the coupon and expected to pay more, also knew it was a large job. I did have a specific date that I need the middle of June which was over a month away from when he came for the initial consult. He said he could do the job the next week and it would take 2 days. My husband and I moved all the furniture before they came out of all three rooms. We did leave a very heavy desk and book shelf in the office, but moved them to the middle of the room so they could get to the walls. I knew this was a huge job but he was a professional so believed him when he said it would be two days. He only had himself and another gentleman the first day and my opinion didn't but in a full day. The second day they brought a third but he left for a little bit. In the middle of the day they told me that they couldn't get it all done and would have to come back another day and charge me more. The real kicker was not one of the rooms had been completed. He also said he wouldn't be back until Monday and it was Wednesday as he already promised to do another job. I couldn't put the furniture back in any room as none of them were completed. Of course I had several days to look at the work and there were several spots that the previous color was showing thru not a bleed as both were light colors just that they didn't take them time to check their work and I had to show them the spots. I think it was so unprofessional when they bid my job and knew all that it all the work and didn't finish it before they went on to another job. I added nothing to the job other than what was discussed prior to his starting the job, I knew it was a big job and told him so, I gave him plenty of time to schedule me to get the job done all at once, and i didn't make him do any work other than paint and he couldn't get it done in his promised time frame. He did not end up charging me any more than the original agreed upon price, but my house was a disaster for days longer than expected.

Overall, it was a rough experience. We bought a Big Deal for interior trim, baseboard, door painting for a day. This was for our house that we were readying to put on the market, and we wanted the trim and baseboards in particular to be professionally painted, so even though the Big Deal was more expensive than other companies' painter for a day deals, we went for it because we wanted those areas painted well. Communication with Adam back and forth to arrange the date and time was a little rough, but got sorted out. When he arrived on the day of, he didn't know we had purchased the trim and baseboard painting (since they also ran a deal for interior room/wall painting) - which made me think the painters who were coming weren't necessary prepared to do a great job on the areas we had specifically wanted painted well. Then there was some kind of miscommunication when talking with Adam such that he got the impression we wanted the painters to just paint really fast, which he passed on. Miscommunication takes two, so I accept the responsibility that I didn't make super clear that while we were selling the house and we wanted quite a bit done, we wanted it done well. We were very dissatisfied with the work that was done. It felt like a rush job/unprofessional...splotchy paint, paint marks on doors where they closed the door before the frame was dry, noticeable brush marks, parts not painted, etc. To Adam's credit, when we expressed this in an email, he apologized and came back to correct some of the problems, and was willing to paint some additional things, but even so, we weren't super happy with it. Not a good experience from beginning to end...

Very pleased with work performed. I actually ordered the wrong service. When I spoke to service provider, he pointed out my error and resolved the issue.

We were in a tight time frame as we needed the painting done before the movers were to bring our furniture out of storage. Called Adam and he was able to send a crew one day for priming and then two people to do sanding and top coating. To make sure it was completed on time, Adam came and painted also. When I pointed out areas on the doors that should have additional sanding, Adam took care of it right away. Pleased with how the painting turned out and that it is done.

Adam's crew did an amazing job! I only had to wait less than 2 weeks to get on his schedule. Adam sent out a full crew to ensure that all my painting could be finished in one day. The men were very professional and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend this company!!

Excellent job. Very professional and punctual. Bought the service for $499, but had more work than the package covered so it cost us a little more. Very quick group and did the job as I asked.

Adam was easy to communicate with and helpful throughout the whole process. He and his crew arrived at a reasonable time each day and performed work throughout the day. The wallpapered room posed a big challenge, so the crew needed to return to finish the job. Three rooms looked fantastic right away., including the red dining room (I hear red can be a tricky color to get right, so we used Aura paint). The wallpapered room needed additional touch up to fix some problems, and when we contacted Adam he made it a priority to come fix the problems himself. Now that room looks fantastic too. Next time we need professional painters I wouldn't hesitate to hire Adam again.

The experience from beginning to end was perfect. The owner was very responsive to our needs and the workmanship was top notch.
