This customer was unhappy only due to the fact that she called us out first to troubleshoot an issue with her pool, and when we did our troubleshooting the electrician found that the issue was within a pool part and there wasn't anything more we could do for her. She felt that because we couldn't fix the pool part we shouldn't charge her for the troubleshooting time it took our electrician. We explained that we had to charge for the service call, our electrician found her problem, but the problem would be fixed by the manufacturer of her part. An electrician had to come out to diagnose the problem. We are very sorry that we couldn't please this customer, and we hope in the future she can understand that we provided our best service to her.

Description of Work: Dale Newman and his crew of electricians are the best, they provided a prompt estimate,excellent service, and were very courteous/friendly. They did outstanding work on my home and I have no qualms about hiring them again or telling a friend about their great work performance. My walkout bsmt. had been flooded with 7' of water + 70 Gal. of home heating oil mixed in, after the cleanup crew (Servpro) did their fine work Quality Electric was able to come in and replace (2) main panels, replace meter base and wiring, rewire and replace (6) GFI outlets,rewire and replace (4) wall switch's, rewire & replace (1 ) 220V outlet, rewire and replace (2) junction boxes (1) for furnace and (1) for the central A/C system + dual grounding rods. All the wiring & junction boxes were individually labeled and numbered for EZ reference & location, this is great for any future additional work that I would like to have done.....very pleased with this.

Description of Work: I am very dissappointed and felt cheated by Quality electric contractors.It was an easy pick as they were at the top of the list and had good reviews.Not only did they not do the job but charged me full quote for doing nothing.The kitchen breaker would trip every time we would use anything along with it.,so the guy("DAN" Washington D.C #) came to my house and told me after looking at the box that its a simple fix.He spent about 1/2 hr , placed about $7 worth of material and $95 for just showing up(total $117) which was paid in full and left.About an hr later I tried to heat up a cup of coffee and the circuit tripped again. I called them up and after 3 hrs the same guy Dan showed up and looked around and told me that the other circuits are faulty,and that he has to run a separate line from the main box.He also told me that its overtime,he needs permission and that it would costs me $65/hr and to do the same job ,I will have to reschedule(take time off-again).Now after a whole day of waiting and spending $117, I am back to square one.Although the guy who showed up was polite and courteous but made error in not only diagonosing, but also fixing the problem.Contrary to the popular belief(reviews),I feel very dissapointed because it is, but a simple problem and faced by many other folks, I talked to afterwards.I will never recommend quality electrical to anybody. We as a company make every effort to please our customers, and when we went out to this home our technician performed troubleshooting and when he left the home even the customer said yes, the outlet did work. After we left, the customer called our office to inform us that it was having problems again and he demanded we come out that day to fix it. We did go back out to his home that day, and it took some time because our technician was on another scheduled job. We came out, late in the day, and through more troubleshooting found that there was more to the problem, and after explaining our findings to the customer he said he would absolutely not pay us to fix it again. We explained that he was not paying to fix anything again, he was paying our (discounted) hourly rate for us to continue troubleshooting a bigger problem. He refused to pay for any more troubleshooting, so we said we would have to leave. He tried to demand we stay and fix the item past our business hours and he still refused to pay overtime rates or anything else for that matter, and we decided to leave. Any item Quality Electric installs comes with a warranty and we also have a guarantee for our work. If there is ever an error with an install or if a part goes bad, we return to fix items at no charge. This was not the case. In this case it was multiple problems and when we left the first time it was working, leading our technician to believe it was okay. The customer pays per hour, and if something works, we will leave to avoid unnecessary time and charges to the customer. We were more than accommodating to this customer, as we had our technician go back to the home and we were willing to charge him a discounted rate for the rest of our time spent in the home to remedy his issue. When a customer tells you they will not pay you for your time, you do not stay. Our technician Dan, (yes his real name, why the member put it in parentheses is beyond us) has years of experience and is very highly praised by our previous customers. We feel that we truly tried to do everything to satisfy this customer, and unfortunately we received an F rating from a customer who does not give the correct story. We also truly believe that all of our other ratings on Angie's List, and the fact that we are an accredited member of the BBB with a high rating, show that we are an honest, reputable company and we take great pride in our work and reputation.
