Dimitri is professional, punctual, and very good at his work. My kitchen flip was completed promptly. Dimitri is priced fairly and easy to work with. This is my third time hiring him for various projects. I would hire him again to complete other jobs at my home.

Over the past few years we’ve made several home improvements, most recently replacing our aging wooden deck with one that incorporates a variety of synthetic materials. As disappointed as we were when potential contractors failed to follow up on our projects, neglecting even the courtesy of informing us they would not do the work, we should thank them, because it enabled us to finally make the right choice, the smart choice, Smart Choice Construction. Working with Dmitri Tourchiev was a pleasure from beginning to end. He helped us navigate our options, envision our deck, and worked with us to make it happen as efficiently as possible. He placed a high priority on communication and was always punctual. I would highly recommend Smart Choice Construction. We recently had to tear-down & re-build our deck. Dimitri was very thorough and walked us thru all the steps in the process. We used Azek and other PVC materials for easy maintenance. He handled all inspection scheduling and permits (we had to be available for inspections). While we were given proposed project start and end dates, they were able to begin early so we could enjoy the deck weeks before we expected. Any changes to the original plans were discussed in advance so we could determine the best course of action. The deck looks great and we would consider Smart Choice again for future projects.

We absolutely love the quality and workmanship of the deck and patio added to our home this spring. I had three contractors come out to give me quotes for building a massive new composite deck to replace my existing wooden deck. Honestly, I liked all three. But I really appreciated Dimitri's professionalism. I liked that when he said he was going to be there, he was there. He gave me all costs up front and his cost was comparable to the other quotes. And I really liked his design ideas - he understood the idea I had in my mind and he improved upon it. Once we started the process, it went along very quickly and smoothly - despite the fact that I was having my roof replaced at the very same time. He and his helper showed up on time and worked long days. Every day, the job site was left clean and the amount of work that was done daily was impressive. After almost a week and a half of work, I was left with a beautiful new deck. His attention to detail was so appreciated. The cuts around my downspout and bay window were smooth and even - great craftsmanship. I think what struck me the most was Dimitri's professionalism. I texted him with any questions/comments I had, and I was surprised to get replies back fairly quickly. The points of payment were clearly listed in the contract. The day that the deck was completed, I went out to write him the final check and was surprised when he told me to wait until after the county came out to inspect the deck, as per the contract. His honesty and professionalism was appreciated. And of course it passed. I couldn't be happier with my new deck - I haven't found a flaw yet - it really is that good. My experience with Smart Choice Construction was great and I will be using him for future projects. I would absolutely recommend Smart Choice Construction!

Dimitri responded immediately to our initial inquiry and continued to respond quickly to all future questions and correspondence. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. It was a pleasure working with Dimitri and I definitely would use him again.

A visit was performed by Dmitry to look at the site. We discussed to desire to add a 19 x10 extension to the existing 19x25 deck which is 12 ft in the air. We discuss the need to use the existing materials of construction which was Azek decking. A quote was provided in couple days and we agreed to a date of completion. This was important since I was having a party about 6 weeks away and the need to insure the project was completed on time. Dmitry did a great job of delivering on time and with high quality. I would recommend him for any deck.

Dmitri was very professional and knowledgeable. The price wasn't cheap, but I think it was very fair considering the amount of work and materials used. He started on schedule and finished early, and was very responsive to all my questions and calls. I'd would recommend you give him a shot!

Working with Dimitri was the best experience we've had with a contractor. He was extremely knowledgeable, thorough and detailed in his work. Dimitri's price quote was significantly less than everyone else we had quote the job and he took care of all the permits and inspections. He kept us informed every step of the process. The finished product was amazing. Dimitri also helped us out with some issues with our fence at no cost. I definitely would not hesitate to use Smart Choice in the future.

We have been saving for this project for a few years and have gotten multiple quotes. Not only did Smart Choice come in at the lower to mid range of the quotes but our gut told us that he had more knowledge and more attention to detail than others we had spoken to. Most of the other quotes were from larger firms where the sales guy comes out to quote and they send some crew out to do the work. I always like to know the person who is doing the work. Dimitri could not have been more attentive to our wants when planning the project, asking us things to learn the why of what we want so he could give us options. He was extremely professional, always did exactly what he said he would and was very considerate of our home and our needs of our dog using the back yard. Every day Dimitri would explain where he was in the process, he would give us a timeline and tell us his challenges and what he was planning to do...talk about piece of mind. I can't wait to hire Dimitri again. We have already talked to him about a couple inside projects in our laundry room as well as our bathrooms. I would hire him in a heartbeat. If you don't call him you are missing out. Our deck is beautiful...we love the look...way nicer than we ever imagined. Smart Choice Construction is in fact the smartest choice I ever made. He was the most responsive and knowledgeable contractor I have ever encountered. He is always on time or early, his work superb and work ethic is unmatched. Every little detail was perfect and his level of dedication to the project was one I have never encountered. He treated my house with respect and cleaned up everything. No matter what the work, Dmitri is the guy who does exactly what he says and more. Best contractor experience ever and would very highly recommend!

The owner, Mr. Tourchiev, has done other work for my home, starting with a deck last Spring. At that time I was thinking of making some repairs and putting the house up for sale. I was considering another contractor for the deck, however my son urged me to get another estimate. To get a second estimate I went online and saw that Smart Choice customers were happy. When Mr. Tourchiev arrived he gave me an estimate for a larger deck for less than half of what the first contractor wanted. At first I was afraid that the low estimate might indicate substandard work or materials or that I would wind up having to pay more than I planned. I am pleased to report that I need not have worried. Mr. Tourchiev took care to make careful measurements and find out exactly what I wanted, then he sent me a very detailed contract which specified what we had agreed. Needless to say, I hired Smart Choice Construction to remove my old rotting deck and replace it with a larger deck. I was very pleased with the way the owner, Dimitri Tourchiev, does business. He helped me plan a deck that would be functional and would comply with building standards such as stair railings. He suggested plans that were economical without cutting corners, and he gave me a fair price. He was able to obtain a building permit and the materials in a very short time so that he could start exactly when he promised. I was very impressed with how hard Mr. Tourchiev works, his knowledge of construction and how careful he is with tools and materials. In June I asked him to replace three basement windows and reroute the pipe from the sump pump to the exterior, which involved some plumbing. He brought in a plumber, and they took care of both problems in one day with results that exceeded my expectations. They left the basement greatly improved. A few times Mr. Tourchiev called in a plumber or electrician to take care of a special requirement; I was pleased with their work too and would hire them as well when needed. Later Smart Choice renovated two bathrooms as well as my kitchen. I am absolutely delighted with my new bathrooms and kitchen. Not only do they look beautiful, their functioning has been greatly improved by Mr. Tourchiev's thoughtful planning and excellent workmanship. He insists on lining everything up accurately, for example when he installs woodwork, such as wainscoting, cabinets or crown molding it looks perfect. I am now so pleased with my house that I don't want to sell it anytime soon. Smart Choice has continued to provide the highest level of workmanship and integrity throughout the entire renovation process including the most recent one. Whenever there has been a problem or an unexpected snag, Mr. Tourchiev has figured out an ingenious solution. I enthusiastically recommend this company. Smart Choice is by far the best contractor I have ever hired. Mr. Tourchiev is entirely professional and trustworthy. It has been a pleasure to work with him.
