Dmitri owner of Smart Choice Construction was one of the best contractors I’ve ever worked with. He answered my initial on line request without delay. Came to my home and was respectful of it. Always answered any and all questions. Was always on time. He was personally on the job site through out the entire removal and replacement of my deck. I highly recommend Smart Choice Construction and no doubt would hire Dmitri for future projects.

Dimitri is professional and provided guidance to ensure that we were happy with the end result. We knew what to expect and when to expect it every step of the process. The end result was so much better than we originally pictured. High quality materials and high quality workmanship for a great price! Dimitri and his crew were fantastic. Dimitri was always on time, and was very clear about the schedule and any schedule changes. His communication was excellent, phone calls were followed up with emails.. He explained all the work that needed to be done, there were no surprises. Everything that was in the contract was completed. Every details was given his full attention. Our deck needed new decking and railing. He also had great suggestions to help preserve the existing sub structure. He used quality materials, and his price was very competitive. In the end our deck looks amazing. It's all thanks to Dimitri and his team at Smart Choice Construction.

I had a lot of deck contractors come out to give me estimates on my deck construction. So many questions and so many different answers. I finally settled on Dimitri & Smart Choice Construction. What lead me to select this company, is how promptly Dimitri was, at getting back to me to answer each and every one of my many, many questions, always calm and never argumentative. I saw his work and that’s another reason, along with his answers, that gave me the confidence to hire him. This helped me to feel more confident in his ability to do the work and trusting someone who I never met before. His work on my deck, was as all his pictures on his website, just as professional looking! He would always keep me informed on the progress of the material ordered and when he would start. You won’t be disappointed with him. Again, Dimitri keeps you always informed and his work is nothing but quality!

Dmitri is a rare find these days. He helped me plan a deck project and tactfully guided me when he disagreed with my initial plan... I'm so glad he did. Dmitiri did a great job completely replacing our deck. He was very thorough going through the options for design and materials and drew up a detailed contract. We got a couple other quotes and Dmitiri was able to offer us higher-quality materials at a lower price. He also helped to make sure that all the needed permits from the township were obtained. Once we settled on the details, he gave me an estimated start time and was able to begin within a week of that date. Once the work started, it was done efficiently and quickly. Throughout the entire process, Dmitri was always available to answer questions and was quick to reply to emails. After the job was done, the inspector even noted how he went above and beyond in the construction, doing things like including seals to keep water out that other contractors would sometimes skip. Shortly after the job was complete, I noticed a very small crack in the gate he had installed and asked him what he would recommend as a patching material, as I was fine making the repair on my own. But he ended up coming, unsolicited, to fix it himself. It’s obvious he takes pride in his work and he wants his customers to be happy with the finished product. The new deck he installed for us is beautiful and I’d definitely recommend Smart Choice Construction to anyone looking to get this kind of project done.

Dimitri's industry and product knowledge is second-to-none, very evident from day one when he came to quote the opportunity. He was informative and responsive to our questions, and very accommodating to our requests. Once he got the job started, it was clear he knew what he was doing. Incredibly efficient and precise, very clean (didn't even need a dumpster and the property remained clean the entire time), and always on schedule. The craftsmanship displayed on our deck build is the best I've ever seen, if you need work done on your deck or are building a new one, look no further.

I found Smart Choice Construction when my husband and I decided to replace our existing deck with something more durable, larger, functional and appealing. From our first meeting, we were confident that we had made the Smart Choice, as implied in their name. We decided to build a wraparound deck with a waterproof patio underneath. Throughout the entire process, from deciding materials, designing the layout, discussing the contract, determining timeline, reviewing township requirements, inspections and construction, Dimitri impressed us with his instinctive knowledge that can be attributed to years of experience. Smart Choice leads with transparency and integrity in their work which left us with no surprises once the project was complete. If there was ever an obstacle, there was always a solution that was discussed with my husband and I before they continued. Every detail was executed beautifully with precision being of utmost importance. Smart Choice was accommodating with changes throughout the project including the expansion of our patio for a designated grilling area. I could set my watch to Dimitri’s punctuality and could always count on his responsiveness when necessary. I cannot recommend Smart Choice construction enough, look forward to working with them on future projects and will pass on my highest recommendations to anyone looking for a contractor.

Just like other reviewers, my experience was what you should expect from a contractor. Demetri was always responsive and business-like. Rather than replace front cement steps with same, he suggested the paver stone option which was so much nicer. Work was planned and scheduled in advance. Brought foreman with him before job was started to work out details. Project was completed in good time and cleanup was done afterwards. Nice experience.

One of the best projects to date via Angies List. Dimitri is very knowledgable and very impressed that he handled almost all aspects of the project. I've had other projects where you get a sales person first and then a different crew shows up for the project; that was not the case here. I really appreciated how hands-on Dimitri was throughout and the end result is exactly what we wanted. Great product at fair pricing, can't ask for more.

Dimitri remodeled my kitchen in late March. I was extremely pleased with his work. Dimitri arrives in a timely fashion, he is courteous, and extremely professional. Moreover, Dimitri is very detailed in his work. He strives for perfection and had a robust desire to craft the job to exactly what we wanted. Dimitri worked with us regarding the price of his work. He essentially built my family a new kitchen for a very reasonable price. In this job, Dimitri did the majority of the work himself but had helpers to remove our counters and re-install them, both were polite. He also employed the help of a plumber, who converted our stove from electric to gas. The plumber is a nice man as well and does good work. The new stove was installed and a line that made it suitable for gas. I was incredibly pleased that Dimitri was able to preserve our granite counters. A lot of contractors would have taken us for a ride and wanted to replace them and it would have been extra cost. Dimitri was certain we could utilize my current counters, and so he did, saving me a lot of money. Dimitri installed all new cabinets, a pantry, and a backsplash. All appliances were returned to perfect working order. The finished product is beautiful and we could not be happier with it. I would strongly recommend Smart Choice Construction. If you need the services of a contractor, do not waste your time with any other. Dimitri is by far the best contractor I have ever hired. He sticks to his contracted schedule, is meticulous with his craft, and frankly does not tolerate imperfection. I was amazed at the transformation of my kitchen remodel. Our family couldn’t be happier with our new deck. We absolutely love it. The owner of Smart Choice Construction, Dimitri, was so easy to work with and walked us through exactly what was to be done and why. He was always on time and able to answer any questions we had. We will definitely consider Smart Choice Construction for any future needs. Dimitri removed our old deck and staircase and replaced it with a larger 20 x 12 Azek Deck and 5 step staircase. The new deck is beautiful with vinyl rails, spindles, and PVC trim covering all the rim boards and stringers. We also had a vinyl gate installed which opens and closes easily with the deck. This was a great addition, especially with young children and pets. We are so impressed and have gotten many compliments on our new deck from friends, family, and neighbors. All of this was completed in just 2 days!

Recently, I had my front steps replaced with a landing off the front door and a new patio created. I used Smart Choice Construction and they did excellent work with fair pricing! Smart Choice did an excellent job on our full kitchen remodel. The cabinets are great quality and Dimitri’s attention to detail and quality of work was excellent, leaving us with a very high end looking kitchen. Dimitri took the time to design a new layout that fit our kitchen much better, laid out a very detailed schedule/contract, explained everything thoroughly and stuck to the schedule/contract until the very end. Dimitri takes his work very seriously and it really showed in our new kitchen. On top of the great quality he was able to do the job for much cheaper than our other quotes and they were only going to install basic lower end cabinets/granite and leave the layout as is. I would highly recommend Smart Choice Construction for a quick and high quality kitchen remodel for a great price.
