They did a great job on their work. However, they charged me an additional $181. I think the cost is excessive. Since the big deal was $49 for $149 worth of work, I feel like they should credit me the difference. The only problem I have is the cost.

It really was a bust. It ended up being $400 more just to get hot and cold water hooked up to a faucet. They even arrived late for the service. It was just a bad experience overall.

He called me right away but when I questioned the price ($1,200), he wouldn’t answer my calls. They took the price down to $1,125. They brought the water heater out but it had a dent in it. I told them I wouldn’t do it for the price. It was too much. They brought the price down to $980. I shouldn't have to negotiate pricing.

I purchased a $99 coupon for 2 hours of plumbing labor. I wanted to understand more about my water pipes, gas pipes and other lines running through my basement. He helped me label each one and answered questions that I had. This took about about an hour and 15 minutes. I also needed 2 shutoff valves replaced, one for each outside faucet. By the time he had finished, it had been 2.5 hours. For the extra half hour, I was charged $165 (and $40 for materials which I understood) because this was the normal price for a service call. This was not explained in the coupon and while of course I did it, I was not happy about it. Any time I buy another one of these, I will make sure I understand what the extra charges are. The extra charge made the coupon worthless. I didn't save a penny. Also, to charge $165 for an extra half hour when the plumber is already out there seems ridiculous. The work was quality though so overall I was pleased. But I have learned to always ask the necessary questions first.

I was very pleased with the services of Central Plumbing. They came when they were scheduled and were professional in every way. There was snow on the ground and I suggested they might want to come in through the garage and then out patio doors to the backyard. They said they would go around the house and the snow was not a problem. When they came into the house they wore covers on their shoes. They were very courteous and explained what they were doing and also made the recommendation to add the shut off valve inside the basement. I was very happy to have that done. I spent a fair amount of time looking for a way to shut off the water when the leak originally occurred. There was no shut off valve and I had to turn water off to the whole house until I could block the leak and make arrangements for a plumber to come. They did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to hire them again or to recommend them to a friend.

They replaced a faucet that I purchased separately. Then they installed a shut-off valve. What was supposed to have cost me $49 was $398.00 plus the cost of the faucet which was $85.

went very well. Friendly guys and they gave me some tips for this leak I have been having in my bathroom. Recaulked around shower and tub and that seems to do the trick. I just did another Angie's Deal with them. Will let you know how it goes, but I expect to be happy with them again!

back by the vendor. Purchased Big Deal. Write up on Big Deal eluded to covering cost of Kitchen Faucet replacement for which I already had a new faucet. I figured $49 for $149 of plumbing, better than doing it myself So I purchased it. Tried to make appointment through AL message but was not contacted, I had to call separate to make appointment. Installer showed up on-time and informed me that their standard charge for faucet install was $330. SO with my coupon I had to pay additional $181. Quite a shock, Why was I not informed during the appointment of this as they new what the appointment was for? If I had known the standard cost was so high I would have done this myself. So, the choice was go ahead with work or lose the $49 for big deal which I would never use for services with this overpriced company anyway. Bit the bullet and had the work done. So this company basically presented a "Big Deal" coupon that enticed people to buy and ended up charging Top $$ for work. Work was done professionally and complete, however I feel ripped off by the deception.

Appointment was scheduled after coupon purchased. Set up for 830am with 1 hr margin for traffic etc. At at 930 called office since no once showed up or called me, office receptionist very polite but unable to reach the assigned plumber. Office supposed to call back with plan but never did, I had to keep calling. About 1030 plumber called saying he was in an emergency job and office should have called earlier to notify since he wasn't able to make it.

I bought the big deal, they called next day, came out on time , replaced my bathroom faucet, sink popup stopper, under sink pipes. They are are very professional, only complain that I have is the pipe leaked after they left, I called again , they came to my house two more times, charged me additional labor and parts.

Company was professional, but the estimate for the work I requested was way too high.

Hot water was dripping from the tub faucet, and warm water was dripping from the faucet in the powder room. The plumber assessed the job to include installing hot and cold water shut-offs behind the bathtub, replacing the bath valve stem, replacing the bath fixtures, and replacing the faucet in the powder room. I expected just to replace a washer for the drips, or to replace the fixtures at most, because they are old. The plumber stated he might have to drive back to the supply shop to get a valve stem, and that would add additional cost. I decided not to approve the work due to the unexpected scope and potential cost.

I noticed there was water damage on the ceiling of the 2nd floor hallway from the 3rd floor toilet. They sent a plumber out and he thought it would be two minor issues. Upon examination he said it was neither of those things, and that it was the worst possible scenario. The waste pipe that leads from everything is leaking and made of lead. They said it can’t be fixed, it has to be replaced. They said they needed to cut open the ceiling to get a better look at. I refused initially. In the meantime I asked about the pricing for the replacement and he said it could be thousands of dollars. Then I inquired with the maintenance insurance I had on the home, and I called the insurance company and had the gentlemen stick around to answer their questions. The insurance company said it was covered within my policy and expedited the claim, and the plumber asked again to cut a hole in the ceiling before he left. I again said no. Later the insurance company sent a plumber and determined that it was one of the minor repairs (a flange) needed and it only took him 45 minutes, with no drilling and he assured me the lead pipe was in good condition.

We really liked them. The caulking in the tub was the best caulking job we've ever had. The technician was really good.

On time, professional and likes to talk about his work. level of quality on the install was readily apparent. Would call them again in a heatbeat

On day of service (Friday) they called and said they were running behind and asked if they could come a little later. I agreed to push back until 3 pm. They arrived a little before 4pm and were very apologetic for their tardiness. We reviewed the wrok and they gave me an estimate of 655$ to replace a total of 7 valves located in the basement ceiling joists. About what I expected. I expected to have to schedule another appointment to actually have the work done but they said they were there they would do it now if I wanted. They felt that they had in-convenienced me enough for one day. I agreed and the tech started the assessment and called for some additional assistance. They replaced 7 valves in total and the job took a little longer than they anticipated due to some shut-off valve issues. (The main valve would close completely and they ended up replacing that too). In all the job took 4 hours and a total of 5 plumbers were involved. They were considerate (wore booties when in the house), polite and professional. They took the time to show me what they were doing, why they were doing it and what potentil issues may arrive if I decided against it. Very pleased with the overall work and would use them again. The next day (Sat) we noticed that the hot water was not as hot as it had been in the past. They had to drain the pipes thru the H2O heater during the valve replacement work. Wasn't concerned but noticable. On the following day, the hot water was barely luke warm. Called the MP who worked on the job and left him a message on his cell phone. Also noticed that one of the valves that they had replaced had started to leak. Received a call on Monday from the head office and they scheduled a person to come out that day to correct. The valve leak was corrected in about 5 minutes but the H2O heater was a different story. The tech troubleshooted for about 30 minutes and came back that the lower tank was leaking around the lower heating element and shorting it out. He dried it off and reset the breaker but it continued to leak. I now needed a new H2O heater. This one was still under warrenty but I had no idea of where the paperwork was. He gave me an estimate for replacing with a like unit or upgrading to a natural gas (line was already there). He indicated that he could do it that nite but I was hoping to find the paperwork and have someone come out and replace under warrenty. Couldn't find the paperwork and wife really wanted it fixed. Called him back at around 4:45pm and indicated that he could do it that nite. They arrived around 5:30 and disconnected and replaced with gas unit. In total, 4 plumbers were there and they finally completed the installation around 11Pm that nite. Overall very satisfied with the response, workmanship, and professionalism of all who worked on the 2 projects. Would recomment them and will use them again.

The job went well, but the price was very high. I think they want to retire soon with these prices. If you let them in your house, make sure you have lots of money to pay them.

They were supposed to come between 10:30-12:30. They never came and they never called. I called them and they said they were running late because they had a lot of calls. We agreed on a new time and I waited hours after that appointment time and then called them and he said he was far away and he asked if I still wanted the service. When they finally did come, my husband was home and he said they were very unpleasant and they were trying to change the details of the deal and charge us a bunch of extra money. They were saying the opposite of what the deal stated and my husband said it was already paid for so we shouldn't owe them anything. They were going to try to charge us $360 to put in a faucet that I already had and it simply needed to be put on. I told them they didn't need to come back and we would just get it refunded. I spoke with a representative in their office and they didn't seem to care either. They just asked if we wanted their estimate and I told them they should have no need to charge us a bunch of extra costs.

It was very good service. But they had to put a hole in my brick foundation but I am hoping to call them back and see if it can be sealed better.

Prompt, nice but I wouldn't pay my surgeon $350.00 an hour...way expensive!
