They were proactive in getting in contact with me to set up the appointment. They were prompt showing up (actually an hour early). They were good with communicating what they thought was the problem. They fixed the leaky faucet even though they initially thought they could not do it because there was no access panel installed to get into the plumbing. However, they tried something and it actually worked. Also keep in mind that the division of this company they sent did not do drain cleaning. This is done by a separate division, so if you are looking for drain cleaning and unclogging, you need to let them know at the time of the appointment so that they can send the right people. Regardless, they were able to unclog all my drains using some innovative methods that did not involve using traditional equipment or chemicals. The only negative I have is the part they charged to fix the leaky faucet was very expensive. It was two plastic tabs that probably cost $2 each but they charged $60. They did, however, have to go out to a local plumbing supply shop. I used the $99 Angie's list special offer, so the total price was still reasonable.

I purchased the $100 for 2 hours of professional plumbing big deal. I was skeptical at first. But they did a great job. I told them what I wanted done, and that I didn't want to go over the 2 hours. They got as much done as they could in the 2 hour time slot - and even worked a bit more. I was worried they would try to rip me off like some other Plumbing companies try to do. They were very professional and fair. The plumber was also very good. He got done quite a bit of work in the 2 hour time slot. He was hustling and working hard to get done as much as possible. I would highly recommend this company for any plumbing service. I would look to use them in the future for more plumbing work.

Went really well. Rita at the office was able to give me a time for the work. It did have to be rescheduled at their request but they gave me 48 hours advance notice. I had told them I needed a mixing valve installed in my basement. I have a summer/winter oil furnace which means there's no separate hot water tank for cooking/bathing water. It comes from the same tank that feeds to the radiators. The mixing valve will prevent scalding, especially for people not used to having screaming hot water coming out. Mark came out only 10 minutes late because of traffic and was able to call me in advance saying he'd be a little late. I had all the equipment ready for him to install. We were able to get everything completed in 2 hours. Mark was very professional, pleasant and thorough. ***Update 11/1/2012*** We were unable to get heat to our first and second floors. After looking at all the options, we realized that the mixing valve was improperly installed. It turns out he had replaced a flow valve with the mixing valve and hot water could not circulate to the upper floors. Another Mark came out, put in a new flow valve and a new mixing valve since it was a different diameter where it was installed. He then bled the air out of the system and everything worked fine. This was all at no cost to us. Six hours of labor and parts. They stand by their work and will do it right. Highly recommended. I plan on using them again as I remodel my kitchen and bathroom.

I bought a "Big Deal" for a water heater from Central Mechanical and the price seemed really good and the work was fine. The exceptional thing about the company is Rita, an administrator in their office. Not only did they call me to make sure I was utilizing the offer, but when I screwed up and ordered the wrong sized water heater Rita worked out a deal for me for the correct size. Also, the work had to be done at a condominium downtown for which I am the owner but not the occupant and Rita did a heroic amount of coordination making that happen. I not only intend to use them again but already have and will likely do so again in the future.

I was having a leak into my basement bathroom from the main floor toilet. I purchased the new toilet and called right away and I was able to get an appointment for installation! I was so happy because I thought I was going to have to replace the entire ceiling in the basement from the leak. The plumber was upfront with the problems and there was no extra cost. I am very pleased and will use this company again in the future! I would also recommend them to my friends and neighbors! Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable!

I called Central shortly after purchasing the GERBER TOILET certificate from you. Then again, two weeks later, as I did not hear back. Mike or Mark (don't remember which one) and an assistant came to my home on June 7. I had upgraded to a taller toilet, as I am partially disabled. The plumber and his assistant were her for over 3 hours, and at one time, Mark/Mike went to Home Depot to purchase something he needed. He had also asked me if I had a wire hanger, as he needed to fish something out of the pipe. My son Scott came in towards the end of the process, and mentioned to me he was surprised this was taking so long. Of course I said nothing to the plumber. When he was finished Mark/Mike (whoever it was told me he had 8 children) said I should call if there were any questions or problems. Friday was OK. Saturday morning, the toilet was having a difficult time flushing, and by Saturday night it has overflowed. I did not want to bother the plumbers over the weekend, and used another bathroom, which was incovenient, but at least the toilet worked. I called Central Monday morning, June 10, and that afternoon Mark AND Mike (both guys) came out. They told me that something was blocking the pipes, and I would have to call a different plumber to have it cleared. When I asked if Central, as a plumbing company, did the snaking, or clearing, the guys said NO.......that wasn't part of the services they offered. I was kind of shocked, but as they were very nice, I believed them. One of the men suggested I call another plumber on Angie's List to get the toilet working again. I also was told an estimate would be given on the installation of a new bathroom vanity. Of course, they never called back. And, when I saw you were featuring them again on August 3, 2012 for their services (not a new toilet). I then wnt on the Central web site, and saw, according to the information shown, " CENTRAL DID EXPERT DRAIN CLEANING". I was shocked, and then suddenly realized how much I had been scammed. The total for all work done came to OVER $1000. ! My son Scott called Central,after the other plumber's visit, and was told the best they could do was give me a refund of $200. - which of course never came. The problem was totally their fault, as when the old toilet was being removed, Mike/Mark dropped a part of the toilet bottom down the pipe, which had become lodged in an elbow. I have the piece here.

Got the 99.00 dollar service from Angie's List. Good value for the price

Central Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning replaced a 30+ year old toilet with a new Gerber Viper toilet. The installer was punctual and professional, and took care to protect the area he worked in. His work was neat and efficient. I was so impressed with the experience that I called Central Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning to compliment their employee and tell them how pleased I was with their work.

We purchased the $49 deal for a service call with 1 hour labor included because we had an issue with a toilet that we couldn't handle ourselves. The plumber who came out tried adjusting a setting first, but that didn't solve the problem. He concluded that a piece needed replacing (which is what we suspected having talked through the problem with Kohler customer service). In addition to the work on the toilet, there was time to unclog not 1 but 2 drains! We were thrilled with the results and the price, not to mention the professionalism and friendliness of the staff.

The gentleman who came to do the work was incredibly professional and nice. He set right to work and discovered a needed a new hose of some sort. He stopped his work and went to Home Depot to get the part. He completed the job in a timely manner and it looks beautiful! I would recommend this company to anyone. In fact, I'm thinking of doing another big deal through them to replace my downstairs toilet.

No complaints - will likely replace AC and Furnace.....Will give this contractor a shot at the quote.

I bought a $49 special on Angie's List because I had a leaking saddle valve in my basement, where the icemaker for my freezer connected to the water line. They were able to make my appointment by phone (a real person) for 3 days after I called. I told them I was ok with that, or they would have made it sooner. On the day of service, the office called to say that the technician was running an hour late from a previous job. Nice to tell me! The service technician then called me when he was a 1/2 hour away, and arrived on time. He very quickly identified and fixed the problem (a simple leak, and a new saddle valve required). He told me that the distance he drove to get to my house was longer than the repair took to make! He was very friendly and professional, and I would absolutely call them again.

Representative arrived on time, looked at the jobs to be completed, brought in the necessary tools and completed each task. Was polite, efficient, and cleaned up the work areas. Thanked me for the business, shook my hand and departed.

A skilled plumber was not sent out, only someone who knew how to use an electric snake. Even though my house and pipes are old, I felt that this company was going to take advantage of that fact to give me a costly estimation for services that I did not need. The pipes were obviously not completely blocked, since this worker could paritally unclog the drain and someone else was able to unclog completely. I feel that their coupon was a lure.

Gave me advise for the plumbing job I had. He couldn't get the exact parts needed to fix what I have because the company went out of business. Told me to go and buy Moen components because they were the best and not too expensive. I am going to have him back to put in the fixture that I bought.

AS I said i contacted them via email received a call back in a couple of hours. Mark went over the options and got back to me with prices. I made the selection of the water heater I wanted installed. They came on the day of our appointment. They were running a little late but the office called to let us know they would be a half hour beyond our appointment. They completed the job cleaned everything up and left so you wouldn't know any work was done. I later called them back to check out a toilet that was continually running. Mark said it was just the chain that needed to be shortened which he did and he did not charge us a service call.

Mark came on time and gave me the 15 min 'alert call' I had requested prior to his arrival. He was very pleasant and indicated a choice of either tightening the present patch, or replacing a foot long section of the pipe. I chose the latter. Mark left to get the correct sections of the pipe and returned promptly. He installed the part quickly with excellence and quality. The parts were charged extra at $28.00, which I expected to pay. I was very pleased with the office interaction, with Mark, and with his work. I would definitely use this comapny again.

Very soon after buying the coupon they actually called me and in the process of setting up the appointment, it was determined that I was outside their service area. I ended up getting a refund for the Deal and I appreciate their promptness in calling me.

My husband and I purchased a home about a month ago and one of the toilets seemed to be extremely loose and leaking. We called a few companies and they told us it would cost nearly $200 for them to come out and fix the issue, plus extra for any additional parts. We saw the deal on Angie's list for $49 for one hour of plumbing repair and jumped on it. In total we paid $85 for labor and material. More than half the price of the other companies. Mike came out for the repair and he was punctual and extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. Beyond assisting us with the toilet repair, he stayed to answer numerous other questions I had around the house. We will definitely be doing business with them again!

It took longer than expected but was done within the price of the coupon I bought (1 hour). It was a great deal. My plumber was terrific, early! and personable Will definitely use again because I never had anything but poor experiences before I used this Angie's List recommended plumbing company.
