We got a new propane fired hot water boiler for our heating system. We used to have a 25+ year old oil fired one. Mike walked us through our options and savings and we decided to go with Propane. We call the Gas company to set it up, they did and Mike came right afterwards with a brand new Crown Boiler and his crew were in and out in a couple of hours. I rarely write reviews but I went with Mike because of the reviews I read and I figured it would be unfair for me not to write one. Mike is a very honest business man and he went above and beyond what we expected. We are very warm and happy! I would definitely recommend Central Plumbing and Heating.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon for two hours work. The company was swamped with other takers and it took a long time to get an appointment. I asked for the plumber to come first thing in the morning (8-10 am) so that I could get to work. 15 minutes before the end of the two hour slot, I received a call that said the plumber was delayed in traffic. At 10:15 he still had not come, so I called to cancel the appointment, as I did not have two MORE hours to devote to this project. Rescheduling took another two week wait. When the plumber arrived, he was fast, neat, professional, friendly, and completed the work in about 55 minutes. I pointed to the second job that needed work (leaky pipe in ice maker) and he said this was not in his area. So the second hour of my "deal" was dismissed. I would recommend this company only if you live in their area; obviously, the drive into Center City made it hard to be on time.

Second attempt at fixing leak under kitchen sink - it is still dripping a bit. Some abrasion of tub porcelain at drain site. Service men were very polite and friendly.

I was told that I needed a new water heater in a duplex we own and the other apartment had a malfunctioning toilet. I called Central and Mike showed up the following morning, replaced the water heater in the second floor apartment and rebuilt the toilet in the first floor apartment. They were done and out by 11 o'clock. They are punctual, neat and thorough. I have them in my contacts as the plumber to call.

This is the second time that I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal ($99 for 2 hours of plumbing work) for Central Mechanical & Construction, Inc. (Central Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning or "CMC"). Our first experience with CMC was excellent. I did not hesitate to utilize their services a second time. As usual, the communication was excellent. CMC called to confirm our appointment the day before. The technician, Mark (our last technician was also named Mark) called from his mobile prior to his arrival to see if he could arrive early. He arrived exactly when he said he would. Mark was professional, courteous and extremely accommodating. He finished the work quickly and neatly, ensuring that everything was satisfactory prior to him leaving. I will, without hesitation, continue to use the services of CMC.

They were able to make an appointment for 1-2 days after I called. Showed up on time and was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with my plumbing and what I could do to prevent these issues in the future. While he was there, he replaced my current sink with a new fixture that I had bought. Made great conversation the entire time. I would recommend highly.

The scheduled appt. was well vetted by Central's customer service; they knew what we wanted done (minor repairs to a toilet and disconnection of an outdoor spigot) and what parts were needed in advance of the call. They called to schedule the day I purchased my coupon. I appreciated their assertiveness. Plumber and assistant showed up. The plumber was very nice and clearly trying to be helpful, but I wanted to say "Please stop talking, and just work". Having an assistant appeared to be more of a hindrance than a help, as there was not enough project work for two. The plumbing work done seemed appropriate and we have had no subsequent problems. I think the plumber (who was an employee not the owner) was just trying so hard to drum up business that it interfered with his work. He kept going out to his truck. I think he thought he was looking busy and running down the 2 hour clock (length of service specified on the coupon), but he just seemed disorganized and inefficient. The numerous followup calls and a thank you note confirmed the impression that the plumber must have been under some pressure to close a new customer. I would have been happy to have him finish early and consider the coupon used, because I was assessing the effectiveness of the work as well as efficiency with time, as plumbers bill by the hour for repair. Clearly the coupon benefited me and was a financial loss for Central; they had to travel a distance for minor tasks without the promise of major work in the offing. However, I did inquire about a water softener and was impressed by the plumber's explanation of their approach to water softening, his praise for Central's owner and his experience, his respectful treatment of his assistant, and his clear, albeit excessive, effort to engage me and answer any questions. He even took a water sample to evaluate our water hardness, at no cost. And Central's customer service followup was excellent. So when we are ready to install a water softening system in the next year, I will call Central again. But they better wear booties next time.

I like to leave a little time before doing a review to make sure the work "sticks". They installed a toilet from a Big Deal. They came on time and did the work, leaving the bathroom nice and clean. Months later, the toilet has not given us any problems.

We purchased a coupon from Angie's List and really happy with the work. We actually purchased another coupon from this company as well. It was an excellent deal.

I purchased a certificate for two hours of plumbing services with Central Plumbing and Heating. They were great with scheduling and arrived on time. The plumber, Mark, was excellent. He cleared the bathroom sink that was not draining. He also cauleked the bathroom tile and also replaced the shower massage. He answered all of my questions and gave suggestions on cleaning tips for tile and discussed replacing the tub. I called back for additional work and tehy responded quickly. I would defintely use thos company again. They even followed up with a thank you note.

The crew arrived on time and were very professional. The installation went very fast and was done very well. The backup sump pump was tested and worked perfectly. The operation of the backup sump pump was explained to me very well. I had some questions after the backup pump was installed. The crew arrived as scheduled and discussed the operation with me further. They also adjusted the discharge pipe to prevent interferring with the float for the backup pump. These guys were great, and the job they did was great as well. Well done!!

The company contacted me within 2 business days of my purchasing the big deal. We settled on a mutually convenient date and time for them to do the plumbing work I had in mind. I was having some minor problems which I felt would be fixed by replacing tank flushing mechanisms and had on hand two complete kits which they put in. Two plumbers came and finished the work in about an hour. They checked for leakage in a third toilet, checked drainage in a bathroom sink as part of preventative maintenance. Plumbers were professional, prompt and efficient.

Emailed company to get labor and parts price for this job before deciding to use $99 two-hour labor deal that I had purchased. Estimate appeared to work perfectly for what we needed done and the certificate value. They said they stocked the pumps and it could be done quickly. I emailed back to schedule the work at my home in Spring Mount PA and they said they didn't serve that area. I had checked before purchasing and their listing on Angie's List specifically included Schwenksville (Spring Mount is part of Schwenksville) so they did honor the deal. Took more than a week to schedule. They showed up on time. Didn't have the pump, but called two locations to get it. They honored their estimate of two hours even though they had to make close to an hour trip to get the pump. Everything was complete in just under 3 hours including the side trip. Workers were professional. They tested the pump before leaving and left area clean and neat. They would have earned an A rating if they had the part they said they stocked and if they hadn't first told me they didn't serve my area.

Plumber arrived on time and ready to work. Very friendly, polite and professional. Would hire him again. In fact, I did. I had a backed up toilet and I called this company again. I will be using them for life. Great job. Reliable, dependable, quality work. HIGHLY recommend them.

The job from the estimate to the instillation of the water eater was very professional and I will deff use them again

It went great. The plumbers that came were very knowledgable and friendly. They worked around our schedule and did a great job. Installed perfectly and left behind no mess.
