It went fine, the man was nice, polite etc...I have no other complaints except that they were way to expensive....they don't work after 4:00 and won't work weekends? I want a plumber I can trust, isn't going to charge me an arm and a leg, and be there when I need them...and not charge me to come out and give an estimate? There is no reason for that?

I have been using Moyer Indoor Outdoor pest control service for over a year now, and I am very pleased with it. I have the quarterly auto-scheduled Complete Home Guard plan, and it has performed as advertised - the pests that the plan is rated to work against have not been seen in my house, and I have never needed to call them for a follow-up appointment to deal with any of the pests covered by the plan I have. I initially signed up through Angie's List, and there was some miscommunication regarding the deal I had selected and the service I had requested. Basically, the deal that I had purchased was not valid for the service I was interested in, but they honored the Angie's List price anyway, which was very nice of them. I plan to continue using the Complete Home Guard plan for the foreseeable future.

Wonderful service person. Clean, prompt and thorough. Would highly recommend. The only thing I would change is that once I bought the deal, they were multiple months out to schedule. I would have liked to know that ahead of time and why offer a deal if you are that far out? I like this company though; I use them for lawn care as well.

What stands out is their service. They are excellent. They are punctual and very friendly. They have been very accommodating to send the same person each time that is very accommodating to chemical sensitivities and allergies. They have been very good.

It depends on the kind of plan you take. I am on a budget plan and I pay like $270 a month. They are okay. They are very responsive. There was a hassle but they ended up making sure everything was taken care of. When there was a problem with one of their workers, they made sure they took care of it in a timely fashion.

They did a great job, and did it all in one day. Came out the same day and removed the old one to install the new water heater.

I had to have an emergency visit to exterminate bugs in my new house. They were able to come out same day, and then were very responsive when I needed them to come back out after the infestation was not fully eradicated during the 30 day guarantee period. The price quoted was the price paid, and they were able to remove the infestation.

Technicians were great! They were punctual, courteous and professional. Our service required more than one treatment however! It seems the "colony" was perhaps LARGER than we expected. Treated first outdoors and DID do a thorough job! I waited the 10 days suggested and still saw "live activity" although greatly diminished by now. The second technician arrived and treated indoors! The number of ants that entered the affected area seemed to INCREASE although they would ENTER and die -- STILL & all I WAS seeing "live activity". Called again and our original Technician came out to treat a couple of OTHER areas he suspected might be the "satellite" locations outside. After that -- NO activity - NO ANTS!!! I would definitely recommend Moyer Indoor Outdoor for pest control - They kept their word and got rid of our problem for which I am so very thankful!

It is important to note that I use Moyer Indoor Outdoor for multiple things at my home. I use them for pest control and they are wonderful - prompt, polite, and get the job done. I also use them for my heating oil & service; this is average. I can't complain since I haven't had any problems. This is why I decided to use them when my spa heater broke. This division must be run by a totally different team. The service is terrible and very high priced. It was impossible to get anyone to come and look at our current system and suggest new options that would meet our needs. Everything was done phone/email. Our system was 27 years old and nothing is similar to what was there. We could have used some guidance. Instead we have a giant system in our basement that almost did not fit the space. We should have walked away - I am not sure why we didn't. I have seen the prices of what we purchased online at other retailers after the fact, and they are very expensive. Something did not quite add up with the bill. They will not give you a detailed bill with parts and labor. You never get a call back. It is like you are inconveniencing them to come out and do the job or give you a quote. I would definitely suggest choosing a different retailer for your spa or pool needs.

Gary M. and his junior partner called me and the seller before they arrived, as instructed. The two were very professional and accommodating for someone like me, the buyer of the home who needed a pool inspection and some instruction as to how this pool system was configured and should operate. They worked fast but were not in a hurry. Every mundane question was answered politely and things were demonstrated just like I was a pool newbie. Gary articulated his observations verbally, gave a recommendation of what should happen next and recommended a type of pool cover replacement. I thought Gary was so squared-away that I would consider a service contract contrary to the Angie's List reviews provided that I could request Gary. As a prospective buyer of the home, we have to complete all inspections within 10 days. The pool was not opened, the house was not mine yet, but I needed to inspect it none the less. Moyer Indoor/outdoor handled this request professionally from the start, understanding the circumstances, the current condition of the pool - totally black and unattended for a while - and scheduled the appointment in 1 day after my call. The baskets were missing from the skimmers; they had extras and put them in to catch all the algea. The D.E. was empty, but they dumped in a few pounds of their own without charge. These guys were professionals and took pride in their work. The seller came out to see what was going on, and she too sparked up a good deal of pleasant conversation with the crew while they worked - very polite and courteous.

As a home buyer, the home inspection uncovered some droppings int he attic - the large variety. I called Moyer Indoor/Outdoor because they perform quarterly pest control at my current home and I explained the situation. They understood that this had to be coordinated with the seller and the agent, no problems there. I called on a Friday afternoon, and they booked someone for Monday between 9 and 12, just in time for the contract stipulated period for inspections. Dennis followed the instructions to call the homeowner directly and me, which he did just before 9 a.m. I was unable to be there, but he inspected the home with the seller/homeowner in tow. Dennis was thorough, professional, polite, and knowledgeable. He made the seller at ease and was very reassuring that the place looked great. Dennis explained that it was an isolated incident of bat droppings due to the open attic window. The rest of the home was inspected for other critters, beyond what I needed but greatly appreciated. Dennis called me right after the inspection and shared his findings verbally. A written report was sent. This was a great investment of $75, especially with a squeamish spouse.

Technician was prompt and extremely pleasant. He showed up right on time and was very knowledgeable. I would recommend this service provider to anyone.

When we started to see ants in our kitchen, we considered handling the problem ourselves, but decided that if we called a pest control company, they could take care of the ants and also spray the outside of the house, so that we wouldn't have any other problems. We used a pest control service one other time and that went well, but when I called they were more expensive. I researched other pest control companies and chose Moyer based on the great reviews and their fair price. I set up an appointment and they arrived on time and were professional. They treated both the inside and outside of the house. It took a few days for the ants to stop, but once they did, we haven't seen them in the kitchen again. A few weeks later though, we started to see a lot of ants outside on the spa. We didn't see any food or anything other than the water that might be attracting them. I called Moyer and the technician said it was a strange location, but he put out gel bait and said that would take care of the problem. After a few days, we didn't see any more ants in that area. We've been very happy with the service so far and we're happy that we chose a year round plan.

Moyer Indoor Outdoor did a fantastic job. Their price was in general range of others that had quoted me, but it was not the cheapest. However, their friendly staff and professionalism made me trust them more than others and they went out of their way to accommodate my schedule on short notice. They were very prompt and I never had to wait around when they said they would be at my house. They did great quality work as well and kept everything very clean throughout the process. Everyone I met from Moyer was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with.

We have a contract with them and their work is fine. They tell us if we have any problems after they treat to call them and they will come back out. They are reliable.

The technician was a real professional. This was a limited access area under the kitchen sink and through the cabinets, but he assured me he had much experience. I got the quote up front. He finished the job in twenty minutes - which I thought they'd need an access pane cut in the back of the cabinet. The replacement faucet/spigot appears to be of a nice quality. The tech explained that the original was not slightly pitched downward to prevent winter water collection at the rear. I was happy. I used Moyer for pest control and did not remember they did plumbing until I checked Angie's. I give them all As.

I purchased a $299 1 year home pest protection deal from Angie's List. Following my purchase, I contacted Moyer to set up my first home visit. The receptionist was very nice, took all of my information and asked if I had any specific pest issues that need to be addressed. I told them that my specific issue was large spiders, in my home, in my garage and around the exterior front door entryway. An appointment was scheduled. The technician came promptly at the appointed time. The was very thorough, took a survey of the home, asked for spider "hot spots" to pay particular attention to then went to work. She was quick yet efficient and thorough. Following my service a bill was left on the door. I was my understanding that the deal I purchased covered all that was done. I called to inquire. Moyer was very helpful and told me the service was indeed covered and remedied the situation immediately, no additional payment needed. I was extremely happy with their customer service. I have called 1 time since for a follow-up due to mites in the house. A technician came at the appointed time and sprayed specifically for the mites. I have not had an issue since and it has been 2 weeks. Overall, I am pleased so far.

I spent $600 for their last service. They have fair prices, good service, punctual and local.

NO service was provided! I got the big deal because I thought I might have a flea problem. Prior to getting the big deal I called to ask if the deal would cover it and they told me I would have to purchase the deal first and then they could discuss the deal. I called Angies list prior to purchasing the deal asking if they would not honor it to treat fleas could I get a refund and I was told yes.I purchased the deal to treat fleas that I thought I had (turns out I do not), I then called to schedule and they told me that they could not schedule because they had to wait til Angies list called them to let them know the deal was purchased. I then called Angies list and asked them to please get in touch with Moyer ASAP so I could schedule. Finally at the end of the day I got a call from Moyer and told them my problem and that I had the deal and they said that the deal does not cover fleas....ugh! Wish they told me that first! Then I told them I was going to complain to Angies list about them and they said they had to talk to their marketing person. I called them the following day to see what they decided and they told me that they were upset with Angies list because it was not part of the deal and that they were going to have to complain to Angies list about that mistake (not sure why they felt they needed to share that with me in detail). Finally they decided that they would do the treatment and then I got an apt scheduled. Then I realized that fleas is not the problem and I do not need the service after all of that! I cancelled the apt and now I would just like my money back so I can move on. Again NO Service was provided! Thanks! Janine

Everything went great. There were no additional charges. I had not used them before. I liked that everybody was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and I didn't have any dislikes. The price was a good deal.

Mice from the nearby field are never a problem. If they come by as scheduled quarterly and cannot get into the house, or if you don't want them inside that day, they'll come back any other day at your request. Very professional and effective.

the only issue I had with them is that they wanted 5,000 upfront for heating oil. I still use them for pest control. I don't get bugs in the home anymore.

We lost heat on our second floor and called Moyer to come out and take a look. The service rep advised my husband that it would be $60 for them to come out and diagnose the problem. The rep said at that point the technician would tell us what the next steps are to fix the issue and give us a price on labor/parts before any work was performed. At that point we would have the option of declining the service and pay the $60 service call fee, or we could authorize the service for the quoted labor/parts price. On a positive note they were able to send out a technician that same day and he did correctly identify the root cause of the problem, which was a loose wire on our thermostat. However, that is where the positive ends. After diagnosing the issue, the technician proceeded to fix the problem by reconnecting the loose wire. He stripped it a little and reattached it. He did this work without first advising my husband of the service charge to do so and giving him the opportunity to accept or decline the service. The tech then proceeded to go out to his truck and write up the bill, which was $226. My husband, who was working at home, was taken aback by the cost, but didn't question it at the time as he was in the middle of a work issue and didn't have time to deal with it. My husband would have declined the service had he known it was going to cost this much and it was an easy fix. When I arrived home and found out what happened, I called Moyer to clarify their process and question the cost. The service rep I spoke with contacted the technician to confirm what work was performed. The tech confirmed that he did the work and the rep advised me that the $226 is their standard flat rate for a loose wire. When the rep continued to explain their process of the service call charge ($60) versus the flat rate for work performed, the rep confirmed that the the techs are supposed to provide a price quote and get authorization from the homeowner before any work was performed. When I advised the rep that the tech never did this and my husband was not given the opportunity to decline the service before the work was performed, the rep responded "Well (the tech) didn't mention that when I talked to him and he is a pretty honest guy". While it may be true that the tech is an honest guy, I would suggest to the rep not to say this to a customer going forward as the implication then is that the customer is lying. I would also suggest that perhaps the tech didn't mention or volunteer this info because a) he wasn't asked about it and b) he didn't follow company procedure to obtain the homeowner's authorization before doing the work The rep then advised me then that I needed to speak to a supervisor and he transferred me to the supervisor. The call went to voice mail and I left a message. It has been exactly 1 week and 1 day since I left the message and I have not received a call back. Also, on another negative note, the technician did not wear booties over his black shoes when he was in our home and walking on our cream colored carpets. The tech should listen to the recording when you are on hold with Moyer which specifically mentions how their techs wear booties while inside your home. l will certainly not be calling them when I hire an HVAC company for a service contract nor will I use them for any other services they provide (i.e lawn, pest control, plumbing etc). I gave them an opportunity to address the issue but they missed on that too. Had they actually addressed my complaint and owned up to a fail on their part, I might have reconsidered them for a service contract.
