Moyer Pest Control

They are pretty big operations. They not only do pest control, they do lawn fertilization and other stuff. I have yearly contract with them. They provide great service and are responsive. They charge somewhat more, but they have highly trained staff. I get good value for the money. I will use them in the future.

They are reasonable and prompt. As far as I can see they do a good job.

For several years, Moyer did a great job and my yard looked beautiful. In 2010, I had to call them several times as entire areas in my yard had not been treated, plus there were 3 rather large areas that were totally burned out. In 2011, I called several times and requested a supervisor come out to examine the areas that were either weed ridden or burned out. No one ever came nor called me. After multiple attempts to get them to stand behind their service, I told them to stop the service if I didn't hear from someone in the next few days. The agent noted that their service man had made a notation in my file that the yard was not in good shape but that they never did anything to address the situation with me. I called several more times, no one addressed my issue but they kept coming out and applying treatments and billing me. It took several attempts, both by phone and by mail, to get them to quit coming and quit billing. The treatments have left my yard with huge bare spots where too much of their chemical was dispersed and have ruined my yard. I would never use them, or any of their services.

They are friendly and professional. I am satisfied with their work.

I just feel like he gave me some fair and honest answers.

Moyer Indoor Outdoor - Heating & A/C I like Moyer Indoor Outdoor, a lot. Have been using them for years.

They wanted us to call the electric company to have a skirt put over electrical wires for their guys to work on the roof and we thought this would delay the process. We did decide to hire the services of another company for about the same cost, and no skirt was necessary.

We had no hot water and assumed it was the hot water heater. Called our regular plumber and he was unavailable, so I went to Angies List and saw Moyer's. We use Moyers for our indoor pool and saw their name under plumbers, called and they came right out. It turned out to be an electrrical problem, otherwise we would have had them do the job. From the first phone call to them telling us what the problem was they were very profession, quick and will call them again.

It is a fairly expensive contract because it is a signature contract where we get them to come out and do everything including maintaining the pool. It is around a $4,000 contract. They have been very good. They have been responsive and come when we need them. They take care of the pool and all we do is enjoy it. We've been using them for 7 years and we have been pretty happy with their service.

I am very pleased with everything that they have done. Their work seems to be effective. They take my concerns about where things are applied into consideration. For example, if I am concerned that they are using sprays inside the house where kids are sleeping, they will work with me on that.

They could not do anything because a few parts were missing. They have been back several times and I have signed a contract with them also. They have various contracts and the price depends on what I want done. They come out and take care of the stuff and I really don’t have complaints about them. They offer a maintenance program besides doing repairs.

We have an ongoing program on the side of the house. They come around every quarter and fix anything that is required. They are a little expensive but they do good work.

They are organic and they are reliable. They are not the cheapest, but they do provide the type of service that I am looking for. I would recommend them.

They have by far the best sales person of the 5 local companies I got quotes from. He will provide quotes right away, knows the equipment, is very personable, provides references and pictures of previous installs. They couldn't get the job scheduled as quickly as I would of liked due to the Holidays but they did install a temporary water heater for me which was great. All in all, they did an excellent job and I was very impressed by their professionalism.

They were extremely courteous. They explained everything that they were doing. They gave the estimate when they got here before they did any work. I did have a problem with one shower afterwords and they fixed it at no charge. This last time they came out in really bad weather. I was expecting them to call and cancel and they still got here.

They did a good job. They were efficient, on time, and did what they said they were going to do.

Everyone with whom I spoke, from the scheduler to the plumber who came out, were very friendly and professional. The appointment was scheduled for the day I needed the work done and at fairly short notice. The plumber was on time, very polite and immediately provided his estimate upon review of the sinks and faucets I wanted installed. He left the work areas immaculate upon completion of the job and answered all my questions. He was also tolerant of my cat who wanted to make friends while he was writing up the estimate and later the final bill. While I suspect I may have been able to find someone else to do the work for a lower price, I do not think it would have been scheduled for a time that was this convenient for me. I would use this company again.

They are courteous and helpful. Our experience with them has been excellent.

When they first came they said that something was missing for the motor. Then the motor still wouldn't work, The 1st man came and he said he couldn't do anything. They sent a 2nd man out and he figured out the problem and laid everything out so that the next person who came was able to finish the repair. The 3rd man came and he said he tried to put everything together but that I needed to have the 2nd man come back. He also told me that a part had been broken. The 2nd man came back again and continues to have serious issues with the pool. At that time he also told me that he couldn't clean the pool because the suction wasn't good enough. He said they would need to tare up the sidewalk, we asked if they could try to fix the problem with air pressure instead. They came and tried to do that. They also put caps on the water and when we looked outside the whole backyard was full of water and the pool was draining. We called them to come back and refill the pool, we had to argue to get them to do that. The part had been broken and they never admitted they had broken it. They also brought out water eventually. They finally came back but wanted even more money, the bill at this point was over$1000.00. They charged $80.00 each time they sent someone out, even though they never resolved the problems. They ended up bringing the bill down to about $700.00, but the pool is still not in working order and I do not want to pay them anymore money. They closed the pool last year and they deny that this problem could have anything to do with that. They were not responsive, they didn't help me get this resolved, they did treat me with any respect. They refused to tell me what problems they could rule out. The even told me that it was a waste of their time. We have used them routinely for the last 11 years for a lot of services and I can not believe the poor customer service I have received. Once my oil contract with them runs out, I will no longer be a customer of theirs. I am not only dissatisfied but disheartened by this experience.

Everything seemed to be fine. There were no issues. The price was probably competitive. They were responsive. We have gotten a new heating system since then and we didn't go with them but it wasn't because of quality.

Phenomenal. It started with the sales rep. He came out, when he said he would come out, took some measurements, and gave me a price on the spot. Listened to what I wanted, did not try and sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need as some other places had done. He actually talked me OUT of some ductwork I didn't need (and he was right, I didn't need it). Followed up with detailed paperwork, accurate to what we had discussed, and in the timeframe we had discussed. Promptly provided me with all the paperwork I would need for tax credits and rebates. Promptly got it financed for me. Did get multiple estimates, price was comparable to the others. The difference here was I had some space constraints with the ductwork and Moyer was willing to work with me and get the ducts routed in such a way as to make minimal impact to my limited storage space. That and the timeliness -- it took me three weeks to get a written estimate out of another company, and only then when I called to nag, and when I saw it I knew it had been dashed off quickly that day with little consideration to my special circumstances. Not so with Moyer. Took four days to do the job in some nasty, sweltering heat. Four days is exactly what had been promised. Installers showed up on time as promised, every day. Very respectful of my home. No more mess than absolutely necessary, no cursing, very polite, very professional, no mess left at the end of a work day. Respectful of my pets. During the course of the installation I noticed a scuff here or there on the wall, the kind of thing you would expect with the job being done -- all were GONE when they left. No trash left behind, no trash stuffed in my trash can, nothing. I'm pretty sure my garage was cleaner than it was when they got there. The closet where the attic hatch is located had a shelf built in and partially blocking the hatch. They disassembled the shelf without complaint and replaced it just as it had been. I wouldn't have done that. The attention to detail where they routed the wiring, and outside where the compressor sits, really, I'm just knocked out. Had a couple of follow up questions on the system after the installation, all were handled promptly and professionally. System ran pretty much continuously from late June through end of August with no issues whatsoever. When visitors drop by they all have commented on how good the grills for the ducts look -- they're perfectly installed. Glad I spent the money and I'm glad I chose Moyer. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to a few friends and neighbors.

Moyer had to return several times to fix leaks and adjust the system. It was later discovered they installed a mix of sprinkler heads made by different manufacturers. The supervisors were responsive and tried to fix the problems, however, the personnel who actually did the work were not capable (or well trained?).

They no longer do irrigation systems though as of August 2nd. I called, they came the next day and the gentleman was thorough and tried to find the leak. He fixed it, gave me spare parts and I never got another leak again.

They let us know when they treat the lawn so we do not let our pets out into the lawn. They have a set schedule to service our lawn, then also suggest other options to care for our lawn based on the condition of the lawn.

They were very good and I have no complaints with them. The pump still works very nicely. I believe the price was competitive at the time.
