We only had phone conservation bout the problem with a GE washer. After conferring with steve it was not feasible to repair the washer, as the parts were costly. I thanked him and that was the end

The repair needed two parts, which Steve ordered. He had to make two trips to my house to install them. He was fast, accurate, and knowledgeable, all for a fair price. I will hire him again when I need other repairs, such as to a stove, washer, or dryer. Or even -- God forbid -- to my refrigerator again!

Fantastic! I have been trying to get someone to fix my oven for two years! Steve was the only one to come and take a look at it. He fixed it! I am beyond thrilled! There were other minor parts that needed replacement but my stove is manufactured in Canada and the shipping costs were ridiculous! Steve gave me an alternative solution and my stove is now completely operational! Thank you, Steve! You are the best!

It could not have gone better. Steve called me on Sunday night after I made contact through Angies list that afternoon. He came the next morning! He fixed my dryer (replaced a broken part), charged me exactly what he thought it might cost over the phone. He then replaced my refrigerator filter (something I had wanted done for a log time). In short Steve's service was as professional and capable as one could ever want. A huge thanks you to Angies list!

Steve responded to my service request promptly. He diagnosed the issue and resolved it on the first trip. Would definitely recommend him and would contact him again for future issues.

Steve was on time and after the dryer tear up diagnosed that heating element was broken. He had brought an heating element as well as fuse with him to make sure he could fix most common problems without the second visit. He proceeded to replaced the heater element in about an hour and the dryer seems to work now. My challenge is that he clearly overcharged us for the heating element part. I checked on amazon After he left and the part with prime shipping was about $19 when he charged us $109. I know there is a markup for technicians on the part but is is not 500%. While his work seem fine, I cannot recommend him due to this issue. I wished I checked the price of the part while he was here and that is my mistake. In my discussions with him he seemed upfront about things and I just trusted his quote on the heater element without challenging or verifying it. Lesson learned.

Steve is Awesome! He came early just to make sure he fixed our washer..he came in a snow storm all the was from Slatington to Bethlehem...when he didn't have to. He was proffessional. His prices can not be beat! I can not say enough good things about him! BRAVO STEVE! There are still great independently owned businesses out there. AAAAAAAAA+

Steve set a prompt appt, arrived on time and did the repair...he's extremely knowledgeable and has right tools to make the process go fast...very pleased to have found Steve thru Angie's List and will definitely use him in the future...we are in Bethlehem and he does serve this part of the LV.....

Repair still in progress he had to order parts for my refrigerator as soon as they're in he will be back to put them in Very courteous and professional Tell me what parts the refrigerator and eat it I told the gotten order them and again as I said I'll take 2 to 5 business days for them to get to him and he will be back to repair

Steve responded quickly to my repair request and kept in touch through the whole process. The day of repair he showed up when he said he would and did the job quickly and cleanly. I think our dryer is now quieter than the day we bought it! Steve is great and his prices are very fair.

Steve Houseknecht was the top rated repairman that appeared on screen, at the top of the list. He was not he first to respond, however, he did respond i a timely manner. I received an email from him saying that he would call me tomorrow. He never called. Or if he called, he did not leave a message identifying himself. I do not answer my phone if I do not know the number. If they leave a voicemail and ID themselves and leave a number, I will call them back and associate the name with the number.

Great decision to contact Steve to fix our drier. The reviews on Angie's List convinced me he was a good choice. From the moment I contacted Steve until he arrived I was very pleased with his follow through on when the parts would be delivered, the slight delay, his contacting me that he would arrive one day later, and his arrival right on time. He was extremely polite and a 25-year old Maytag drier is now repaired. Amazing that parts could even be obtained for a drier that old. I really appreciate that Steve had access to a site from which the parts could be obtained. I wish I had contacted him when the drier first stopped heating. Would definitely contact him again.
