We got an estimate from Russell to have our driveway sealcoated. He was prompt and knowledgeable. However, his quote was 50% more than the other estimates that I received. I understand that cheapest isn't always the best, however, the difference was too much to justify as the cheapest quote was from a highly reviewed and rated contractor. I imagine Russell probably does a great job, but we decided to go with the cheaper bid.

Mr. Boyer showed up right on time for a bid on repaving our long driveway. He was courteous and quite knowledgeable of his trade and the work required to repave our drive. But his bid price for performing the same service as two other reputable paving companies in the area that we had look at the project and bid on was in one case nearly twice as expensive and in the other more than twice as expensive. So we have chosen not to use him.

Went very well. Came when they said they would, our new steps are beautiful. They gave us complete written specs before they did the job and charged what they estimated. The guys were courteous- when we asked them to move their truck temporarily so that we could get our car out of the driveway, they immediately obliged. I would definitely use them again.

Contractor was very professional and very polite. I called as to driveway repairs. He set an appointment convent to me. Arrived at my home on time. Spoke to me as to my needs. Took measurements. Confirmed my email address. Advised I would receive an estimate in a few days. I in fact received the estimate as he described. We however decided to go in a different direction. However, based on my contact with the contractor I would recommend him to everyone...

They are very good. They did a very good work. They are very professional.

Russ, fixed an annoying leak in a difficult location. The leak has not returned ever since fixed in spite of the heavy rains we have had.

Driveway apron was badly cracked. R H Boyer & Sons removed old apron and replaced with fresh stone and asphalt. They also regraded removing a dip between the road and the driveway.

I thought Russ did a great job with the pre-sales experience. He was timely, polite, and knowledgeable. I also thought the proposal was very professional and very timely through an email attachment. It may very well be the approach Russ proposed with cutting out the worst sections of the driveway and replacing those areas is what drove the price up. Anyway, we decided to go with another bid which was $1550 lower. In addition, they could not start our job until nearly 6 or 7 weeks after the proposal due to a backlog in their workload. I'm sure their workload is probably due to their good work, we just wanted to move faster for a bit less money.

They did a good job. They were responsive with their estimate. The work was exactly what they said it was going to be. With regard to price, I don’t have anything to compare it with.

They were very thorough in removing all the debris. They were on time. The job was finished quickly; they completed the job in two days. When they finished my walkway, it wasn?t completely symmetrical. The lines weren't completely straight on the walkway because of the lack of symmetry. It was a good price; I had several quotes. They were very responsive. On the Angie's List website, it was stated that they give a senior discount. That was one of the reasons I selected them. When we inquired about it, we were told that they do not give a senior discount, but that in our case they would make an exception. I wasn?t very comfortable with that. They did end up giving us a senior discount. Other than the symmetry of the walkway, they did a very good job. Update: A few months after the job was finished, a large crack appeared in the walkway. The initial crack was repaired, and I was told that I was no longer a customer because I lived too far away. Well, that was a convenient response, which came after I started complaining about the work. He did however come out to fix the crack, and now 2 years later, the repaired crack has reopened, and others have appeared. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied with the job as is my husband who is a retired Marine and very active in the military community.

The crew arrived on time and immediately started work. They quickly cut away a section of driveway, removed the debri, and installed the trench/drainage system. The drainage pipe needed to run through my front landscaping and walkway. The team did a great job ensuring the landscape was repaired post install. All in all it was a good experience and I would definitely contract with them again is the need arose.

I spoke with Russ and an app't was made for Sunday, May12, 2013 in the afternoon. I had suggested Saturday, but he said Sunday was better. He said he would call in the morning to confirm. He never called and never showed up. We were home all day. I had contacted two other paving companies from Angie's List and they both came out and gave me estimates promptly. I will be going with one of them. UPDATE: I just saw Russ' response today and am surprised. At no time did he call our house on the day he said he was coming out or any day before or after that. We were home all day and there were no calls or messages. Maybe he did make a call, but it wasn't to our house.

The job was done in a timely and efficient manner. They were very neat and cleaned up all the debris and the finished product is perfect. We are thrilled with the workmanship and professionalism of Mr. Boyer's workers and Russ Boyer was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I have already asked him for another estimate for more cement work at our home.

Mr. Boyer responded quickly to our request for an estimate and provided some useful hints to improve appearance and control costs. They fit us into a busy schedule in order to meet our timing. They did a great job on both parts of the job, plus they use a latex asphalt sealer which does not smell as bad as the hot stuff. The crew was always polite and helpful. Job is great! They did a great job and, despite the necessary inconvenience caused by a job like this, the crew was good to have around. Highly recommend R.H. Boyer & Son!!!

Boyers came out and removed our old concrete patio and poured a new one. From start to finish they explained all the details, provided an estimate via email and worked quickly. The finished product is beautiful!

I called RH Boyer and Sons and that morning, Russell came out two hours later and looked at the job and took measurements. I had a written estimate within a few days with a start date. I really needed the front steps done because they were a hazzard and Russ squeezed me into his schedule which I was very appreciative of. They showed up when they said they would, they were very neat, and the men were very friendly and respectful. I could not have asked for a better experience and would reccomend this company to my friends and neighbors.

Water was pouring into my basement through a rusted out Bilco door entry. In addition, I noticed a crack in my basement foundation which concerned me a great deal. I had spent almost one year trying to get an estimate from other contractors. Not one responded with a reasonable solution to my problem. R.H. Boyer & sons responded to my phone call requesting an estimate within a day. Mr. Boyer made an appointment to estimate the cost and work needed. I received an written estimate within 48hrs. The original estimate was to replace the basement entrance which was allowing water into the basement. I mentioned that the patio which was adjacent to the basement entry could be causing the water problem as well. After removing the original basement entry, we found that water was collecting under the old patio and that it should be replaced. This worked was completed within 5 days to my complete satisfaction. Mr Boyer met with us after the work was completed to be sure we were satisfied.

They did a great job! We were very happy with the work. The price they quoted us was exactly what we paid. We did have one little problem with the setting of the handrail; we called them and it was fixed before we got home from work that day. Also they came by about 10 days after they completed the project to make sure everything looked good and to make sure we were happy with the job. Would recommend them to anyone and will use them in the future

We are highly pleased with the quality and care taken during the project. Mr. Boyer's sons work in a professional and patient manner, taking time to explain the pouring and finishing processes. Their price was slightly higher than other bidders, but worth the additional effort and quality.

Mr. Boyer and his team were professional, the work looks great, and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely use them again and I have referred them to others.

The contractors arrived on June 30th to block in the window and repair most of the stucco imperfections. In addition, the joint was filled in. The contractors returned on July 1st to complete stucco over the former window. Overvall, we were very happy with the work. Even though we didn't tell them that they needed to, they matched the color very closely. The contractors were very friendly and kept an extremely clean work area.

They were pretty good. They came and did the job very quickly. The work was done without any problem and I was very happy with them. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.
