They have been very good and they stand behind their work. Their people have always been very pleasant and friendly. I would recommend them and I will hire them again.

We had deteriorated wooden steps that needed replacement and decided to replace with concrete steps and also add a small pad adjacent to the steps. Contacted several masonry contractors through Angie's List and scheduled appointments for quotes. RH Boyer and Sons was the first to come out and provided a detailed quote for a competitive price. We then communicated with Russ on questions we had and he patiently answered them all. Through this process, Russ displayed his in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field. Then we scheduled for the work to be done but was only able to get an appointment 3 weeks out. Russ said he would do his best to fit us in. Before the 3 weeks had elapsed, Russ's crew made a surprise appearance and went to work prepping the area while I was at work. The next day, they poured the concrete and the job was done just like that! We are so happy with the results and the craftsmanship is top notch. Would definitely recommend RH Boyer and Sons for their concrete work.

They were delayed because of the bad weather, but kept in regular touch and did a great job.

The job was completed in a single day. It looks amazing. With all the mess that a job like this produces, the workers went above and beyond to leave the area as clean as it was when they arrived. I would recommend this company to anyone and I would gladly use them again in the future.

I would recommend R. H. Boyer to anyone. It is a small, family-owned company and they do excellent work. They are busy so their lead times can be on the long side, but in their case that itself is actually a good sign.

Overall we are very pleased with the results. Russ was very quick with getting back to us with a very competitive price. His men were right on time and did an excellent job. Slopng of the steps was done perfectly and drainage is exactly the way it should be. We waited on this review to see the durability of the project and are still pleased with the work having seen it go through several freeze and thaw cycles. We would use him again and certainly refer others to him.

R H Boyer and Sons did an outstanding job. I was extremely pleased with the finished product and would not hesitate to contract with them for other projects that I may have. The service provided was professional and the quality was beyond my expectation.

Aside from their initial screw up when they showed up at my home un-announced 1 month early because they had an opening in their schedule, the entire process went well. I received their information from Angie's List, called them on a Sunday and left a v/m. They immediately called me back that same Sunday. We scheduled a day for the estimator to come do a visual inspection and received a quote via email within 2 days. We had 4 quotes from competitors already but R.H. Boyer was the only company that was proactive in reaching out to us. Although they were not the lowest offer, their attention to the customer is what lead me to go with them. We have a 60 foot driveway on a 30 degree uphill grade that was half gravel, half original asphalt. The top landing also had a broken down stone retaining wall. R.H. Boyer first came in and completely removed the decrepit wall and installed a brand new 30' long retaining wall made of (4 high) 6x6 railroad timbers to match the original rear retaining wall. By doing so, they actually added square footage to the landing. The new wall is not only sturdy, it is also taller than the original wall which compliments our front yard. They also prepared the ground for the asphalt. The next day, they added the asphalt to the driveway. Again, it looks fantastic. I will gladly be mailing them my check this afternoon for the work they have performed. I wanted to make sure that I got this rating out first though. The owner contacted me the day after to ensure that my experience with them was good and to follow up with anything else that I may need, I am not sure why this company has some F ratings but as far as my experience went with them, they definitely should receive a solid A- (A+ had they not shown up un-announced 30 days early). I was so impressed by their responsiveness and professionalism to my request. Although they do not provide leveling services, they offered another solution by suggesting another company that could possibly assist or they would provide a quote for another solution. If I need concrete work in the future, they will be my first call.

It went well this company did a great Job !!!! words cannot describe how please I was with what they did, how hard they work. they were a nice group very very professional and caring. I thank God that I found them on this site. the price was right. Yes I would use them again for the walk way on the side of my house and will tell other friends about this company. Well...the work was supposed to occur in October, but as you can see they finally got around to it in December. I had to call them several times. All the discussions were pleasant enough, but between issues on their end and the weather, service was supplied two months late. The porch looks great now. I just hope it lasts longer than the builder's job did. I was tempted to hold payment for the same amount of time that I had to wait, but I went ahead and sent the check today. If I say I'm going to do something, I do it. And if something comes up to preclude me from doing "it", I contact whomever about the issue.

Russ Boyer met with us to discuss the project and prepared a quote. We chose Boyer over two other contractors because their business is near our home and we like doing business with local companies where possible. Boyer was not the lowest quote. The only difficulty we had was pinning Russ down to a time because of the amount of work the company had. The work completed was worth the wait - I can see why they are so busy. The work completed was excellent but what we were most impressed with was the cleanup Boyer's workers did and the attention to the details of making sure everything looked clean and gardens on either side of the new walkway were made tidy (which really was important to Mrs. O). Moyer's crew spent time to explain every thing they planned to do and how the whole project would unfold - for example, "we will pour, dress the sidewalks, let set while we leave for a few hours, then come back and finish." I would give Boyer high recommendations and make sure to let others know that Boyer's business is very busy so it will take time to get them to start your job but the wait is worth it.

Russ and his sons came in the first day and dug up the dirt on the walkway by hand and constructed the forms for the new walkway. They went over how the new walkway would best fit into the space taking in to consideration existing window wells and other protrusions that needed to be addressed. They went down 8 inches and put in 4 inches of crushed rock and left room for 4 inches of concrete. The next day they poured the concrete and put a nice brushed finish on to help with traction. They came back 2 days later and removed the forms and reinstalled our brick edging. They did fine work at a reasonable price and cleaned up nicely after the job. We would recommend R H Boyer and Sons for any concrete work that you would need.

Russ Boyer arrived at the agreed upon date and time to review the work needed so he could provide me with an estimate for the sidewalk. He acted very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant and provided an estimate by email. He also talked to the township to makes sure there would not be any permit issues. His crew got the work done in a timely manner. The sidewalk work done was very high quality and looked beautiful. He was also helpful with providing an estimate for a future garage.

It was a long process, but not the fault of Mr. Boyer, and his crew. Demolition began, but my neighbor needed a tree stump removed, which was the purpose of their sidewalk needing to be done. The stump removal company hit the gas line. All work had to cease pending PECO coming out to repair the line. That took almost over a week. Once PECO finally came out, the concrete work could be concluded, and they completed the work yesterday. The quality of work was expreamly well done.

I recommend Boyer for any cement work. I do no recommend An gies List though. She has been an evil horrible harassing relentless person. I quit her many months ago and she still keeps hounding me. I had my credit card block her and she won't stop trying to renew me. I've begged them to leave me alone. She has emailed me 50 times to get my review of this contractor. She keeps trying to access my credit card. I paid for the info up front and I don't believe I owe a report back. Do not use her creepy service, ever. That is my report.

One if the best contractors I have ever worked with! Quick to respond to my original call, excellent price, completed work ahead of schedule and top-quality work! Don't bother calling anyone else, Russ is your guy!

The company went through some rough times, with personnel matters that made communications last Fall very difficult. The work was ultimately completed, but some corners were cut that did not make much sense. The new concrete didn't match the existing concrete very well, so the final job looks irregular. No clear reason was offered for those decisions. Structurally, things look OK, and was relieved to be done with the task...

R.H. Boyer & Sons did a first-class job of replacing our driveway apron and much of our sidewalk. They were prompt, efficient, polite, and superior craftsmen. I could not be more happy with the quality of their work, which has been favorably noticed by many of my neighbors. Today, when they returned to remove forms, they proceeded to clean up so well that it appeared they were never here! Never have I been more pleased with work done by a vendor at my home.

The project went very well. The repair work was well thought out and carried out. New walkway fits in between existing walkway and driveway and the angles and layout blends in well. New patio looks great. Work was done on time and everything was cleaned up afterward.

I live in a Townhome. My front steps are concrete and railroad ties. I had a "contractor" replace the steps in 2012. Everything he did was substandard and he actually gave me my money back. However, that left the steps in worse condition than when I started. This is what prompted me to join Angies List and truly investigate Angie contractors. I chose Boyer based on price (middle quote) and felt comfortable with them. Work began about a month after I hired them. Two workers completed the job in 2 days. While removing the old steps, we found water damage beneath the steps. The workers repaired this. They also helped me salvage the old railroad ties to put elsewhere. I was nervous after my last experience but they did an awesome job. The steps gently slope away from the house and I've gotten many compliments. Some neighbors have asked for their contact info to work on their steps.
