Ed may have been my favorite contractor we had the pleasure of working with throughout our home renovation. Here is why: -His quote presentation was clear and timely. -He performed the work within the time frame discussed (even though he had to work 16 hr days to finish before our move-in date - which I feel bad about) -Out of 4 quotes I received, his price was just below average (but not the least expensive -His work was beautiful - we removed several walls which created extensive gaps in the floor (which I thought would forever be noticeable, even if we patched). Ed and his guys removed sections of the floor to create a seamless and non-noticeable transition. Everyone is amazed by how well they turned out. -He put up with an almost impossible time-frame - and never made us feel bad about it I'd hire him again.

It went well. Sheridan was easy to contact and was pleasant to work with. He explained the procedure well and made sure it worked with our schedule. The end result was stunning.

We already had procured the flooring through big box store, and ultimately, the big box store couldn't meet the deadline they had originally agreed upon so we had to find someone to install our floor, STAT. We had to be out of our old house and and had to have our new floors installed in the new house before moving day. Ed Sheridan jumped into the fray and got us on his schedule almost immediately, working with our contractor and the kitchen installer. His guys were terrific. They were professional, personable and clean. Everything was clean at the end of each work day. It took four or five days to complete the job on a total of 6 rooms. My recommendation would be to let Ed supply the flooring. We didn't know any better, or we would have. I suspect he would have sourced a better quality of product. (As it is, though I am pleased with Sheridan's installation, our flooring that we bought on our own is not holding up well.) I can confidently recommend Sheridan Flooring to anyone who needs a job like this completed. (also, the apx cost listed is VERY approximate. I couldn't find a record of what we spent, so I'm going off the top of my head. We found the cost appropriate--that's what I can remember.)

It went very well. I was very impressed with Ed's knowledge, professionalism and workers. I felt safe leaving them alone and I knew that the work we discussed would be completed each day. I had delays in my project due to other contractors working on site and Ed was very willing to work with me at every stage.

I contacted Sheridan’s Wood Flooring last year after hearing about them through a close friend. They did his floors and the pricing was great. I got in direct contact with the owner, which was nice, and he, without hesitation, set up a meeting to come to my house for an estimate. He showed up on time and was willing to come after 5pm to meet my work schedule. He was very thorough and broke down the process in full detail. Within 24 hours I had an estimate emailed to me. Their pricing is great, almost 20% less than another quote I received. Then, when I chose to move forward, they were able to schedule the work while I was away on vacation, so that by the time we got back it was completely done. His estimate was accurate and the work took no longer than he specified even though I know we probably put them in a tight spot scheduling it on short notice. The owner was personable and definitely won my business for the future. I recommend him to all of my family and friends and will continue to do so as he never disappoints or overcharges.

Ed and his guys are the best of the best. As a general contractor and house flipper, I understand solid subcontractors when I find them. Ed was extremely communicative and easy to reach throughout the entire process. He is actually present and oversees the work - which can't be said for a lot of contractors. Apart from knowledge and overall craftsmanship, what really sets Ed and his team apart is that they actually care about the finished product. They aren't constantly rushing out the door just to constantly move on to the next job; instead, they are attentive to all of the details. I definitely will use Ed for my next house.

Sheridan Wood Floors came into finish the original wood flooring in our dining room. Not only did he work with our schedule but the finished product was more amazing than I thought it would look. Very professional and extremely wonderful to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Ed was very helpful in achieving my goal of having my floors refinished while I was off from work as a teacher during the holiday week. He came out and provided an estimate timely and he accommodated my schedule. The price for the work was reasonable and fair. I had two other estimates and choose Ed for a variety of reasons. He offered suggestions and was flexible with his time for the estimate and to have the work completed. There were areas of flooring that had to be fixed and he did so professionally and those areas look like new. We also decided the night before to add two rooms to the work and he was able to accommodate our request. Each day they arrived timely and worked diligently on the project. The work was finished when promised and the floors look great. There is one bedroom left that I will have Ed do later this year. I appreciated his desire and ability to do a quality job. I would highly recommend Ed.

Ed was wonderful. He showed up every morning with a smile and kept it all day as he was working! His work was great and he was really nice to all of my pets. I thought his price was reasonable, and he kept the place clean as he was working. The floor needed some intense attention, but it looks great. He definitely has my recommendation.

From what I remember, payment was left for him at the house. I had no reason to doubt he would not stand behind his work. He spoke very highly of himself and said he satisfied all his customers. I contacted him several more times, he finally was out to look at the floors in early to mid-fall. He said this had never happened before, I never get complaints, and there was nothing he could do. The floors couldn?t be finished again. He just had one excuse after another. He had no intention of fixing our floors. We had Ed install hardwood under a kitchen cabinet. To be helpful, my husband was removing the toilet in the powder room when a pipe broke and water went all over the floor in the hall. Ed, did tell us he would have to wait for the floor to dry before he would start the refinish process. Which he did, he finished the install, and came back the next day. I can?t believe someone would intentionally made false statements which only made matters worse. I tried to be patient with Ed, I learned early that he doesn?t take constructive criticism well, he becomes very defensive. I just didn?t realize how vicious he could be. FACTS: - The work was completed around Labor Day of 2011. - He was paid, because I believe what he told me, & thought he stood behind his work. - He was informed of the uneven finish & black marks; several times. - I never insulted him. - The sprayed water was prior to him starting the floors.

We are expecting our first baby in a few short weeks (I know we waited until the last possible minute), so with not so much time to spare we were worried about getting the floors finished, cleaning up, and airing out the room in time for our newest arrival. A good friend recommended Sheridans Wood Floors. She said that they were efficient and literally dust free! I thought she was exaggerating the "dust free" because when I think of re-finishing hard wood floors all I think off is dust, fumes, and the hours spent cleaning up the dust left behind.I called Mr. Sheridan and spoke with him about our situation of needing the babies room to be finished as soon as possible and my concerns with the fumes in the house since I am 7 1/2 months pregnant. He assured me that there would be no dust and the fumes would not be an issue, he can use a water based polly urethane which is basically odorless and gives the same great results as anything else on the market.So excitedly, we set up an appointment for him to come look at the room and give his estimate. He arrived promptly and professionally to our home. He definitely made my husband and I feel at ease with our concerns and answered every question with ease. He never made us feel like, he was telling us what we wanted to hear. He was very genuine the entire time. We immediately set up a re-finish date :) Ed knew what time constraints we were under so he fit us in just 2 days after our estimate. He said he could come in the morning on Monday, Tuesday and again on Wednesday (1 coat of polly urethane per day). -Day 1 Ed arrived to our home on time and was very professional. He sanded the floors with his "sand-less sander" , replaced a cuple floor boards, and applied the first coat of water based polly urethane. absolutely no dust and no fumes :) I was thrilled because I still expected a little of each but to my surprise nothing absolutely nothing. I called my husband to tell him the great news and he was just as thrilled! - Day 2 Ed arrived when he said he would. I had to tell him I was surprised that there was no fumes and for being pregnant I smell everything intensified, but I was ecstatic with his services! He laughed (a very unique laugh! you have to hear it but it made me laugh!) and told me "I told you, you had nothing to worry about!" I told him he was right but in todays world you never expect the complete and honest truth. He went right to work. He re-sanded the floors and applied the 2nd coat of polly urethane. -Day 3 Ed came in chipper and bright eyed bushy tailed. He sanded the floor one last time to get any and all rough spots out and applied the 3rd and final coat of the water based polly urethane. When he was finished we gave him a check for the rest of the payment, he said good luck with the new little guy! I then told him we would love to have him come back to do the floors down stairs, since our dogs "roughed" them up a little over the years. I told him we couldn't be happier with the out come of baby Hunter's room. Overall Sheridans Wood Floors did an exceptional job and we actually are going to use them again to re-finish the Bamboo floors in our family room and master bed room this summer! We would recommend them to anyone!

It went very well overall. It can be stressful having your wood floors sanded and refinished or having new ones installed. They made it a very easy process. They finished up well within the estimated cost and time frame. We were very pleased with Sheridan Floor's work and would highly recommend them to any one.

The job overall went very smoothly from start to finish. The experience was all around very painless, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone. It was virtually mess-free and the finished product came out great.

The project ran very smooth. Sheridans Wood Floors (Edmund) came in and estimated the project. They completed the project and were very respectful and very clean. The wood floors look great and are very durable (I have three young kids).

We were thrilled with the job Sheridans Wood Floors did. It is now over a year later and the floors look like they did the day they were finished. Since getting our floors finished, we adopted two Labrador retriever dogs that love to run all over the house. There are no scratches in our floors. If the floors can withstand two 90lb+ dogs, they can withstand everything. Since doing our floors, Ed has done my mother in laws, sisters, and brother in laws houses plus my boss and friends of the family. High class professional services all the way. I would not recommend anyone else for wood floors. A+ job. Do yourself a favor and give a local business man who offers high end quality work a call. You will not be disappointed!

Everything went extremely smoothly, the job was done quickly and with no mess. The dust-containment system used works extremely well, and the job was left neatly every day.
