The work began in a timely manner and went very smoothly (they clearly knew what they were doing). The end result is that it looks beautiful and professional. The workers were skilled and courteous. Once they began the project, they worked on it daily until it was finished. They finished the project with top soil and seed to blend with the existing grass. We are very pleased with the end result.

Having contacted six companies, several of which would not even bid on this job, and others who outlined what they would do, I decided that Plymouth was the best company for my job. I did not want heavy machinery or lots of chemicals used on the project. Everything was removed by hand. Daily clean up was done and there was no damage to my property, even though they had to wheel materials over the front lawn. The workers were polite and their work was amazing! I left on my vacation for three weeks and had to rely on a neighbor to water the seed daily. I returned to a beautiful yard of grass. I would definitely recommend Plymouth to anyone looking for a reliable landscaper.

I scheduled an onsite consultation with Plymouth Nursery a week in advance. They were running 45 minutes late so I decided to call. The gentleman who answered the phone said he would track down the person that was supposed to be here. I received an email roughly 30 minutes later saying they left their phone in the office, then hit major traffic so they had to turn around to make it to their next appointment on time. I guess I wasn't that important. I then said, "does this mean you're not coming out today?". The answer to that was "let's figure out how much time we would need for an estimate. Can you provide as much detail as possible (via email)." I have no idea how much time it will take. That's why I scheduled the onsite consultation in the first place. I won't be contacting Plymouth Nursery again.

I was satisfied with them. He was very professional and went over the project with me and gave me his recommendations. I am looking to do the project toward the end of the year or next year. They were at my house for about 45 minutes going over all the plans.

Update: It seems that some of the flowers were not planted properly. Quite some (about 1/3) flowers died and had to be replaced. We got replacement from vendor but have to pay someone else to have them planted. Will see how the replacement works out.

Had a landscaping plan and drawing done through an Angie's List deal. Very prompt and professional, was able to give a few good ideas for a hardscaping project that we didn't think of. Would use in the future. Seemed to do very good work based on project pictures on website

On May 29th I contacted Plymouth Nursery through the email/message center on the Angie's List website. I wrote to inquire about a potentially large job involving my landscaping. To date I have not received a return call or an email from the Company

I had a rather small job and some companies didn't want to be bothered doing it. I had stone edging installed around several flower gardens and my lamp post. In addition, they fixed my existing EP Henry patio that was sinking on one end due to a large hole that was filled but had settled over the years. They came on time every day (3 days), were prepared, knew what was to be done and did it. Everyone was very accommodating. It just so happened that I had a siding contractor working at the same time, but they worked around them without any problems.

Scheduled and came on time. Completed work over a week. Wall looks like it was built with the house - perfect match. John came back and surveyed work. Very pleased with results.

We received three quotes. One was for $14K, Plymouth's at $16K, and one who wouldn't provide me a design unless I paid $500 and they estimated total cost would be in the $30k range. We chose John and Plymouth Nursery as we liked the design plan and the attention John gave in showing us all the plants and working with us on the design. Also, a few homes in our neighborhood used the first company and although they look nice, I wasn't crazy about the designs, and wanted more mature plants and trees. Plymouth completed a landscape design for another home in our neighborhood and I liked what they did. Plymouth is an actual Nursery so you get to go to the nursery and view the actual plants that will be planted. This was great so we could see the quality of the plants and get a better visualization of what the end design would look like. John and his team were great to work with every step of the way. They showed up when they said they would and John stopped by everyday to monitor progress and make sure things were completed to plan. Before plants were planted, they were all placed in position so we had the opportunity to make some changes, which weren't many. Overall project took about a week and a half to finish which included some weather delays. We also needed to add electrical outlets outside to support lighting package. We used John's recommended electrician who completed the work as we discussed and at a fair price. Our house looks beautiful and we have received so many compliments. I can't wait to see the plants bloom in the spring and I get a smile on my face when I drive up to my house at night and see how the lighting highlights everything so beautifully. I would not hesitate in recommending John and Plymouth Nursery!

Pros: Joe came by to assess the job and he emailed an estimate in a timely manner. On the scheduled date the crew showed up on time and they worked hard while they were here. The trees they planted were gorgeous and they flourished after their planting. Also, part of the contract was to install an irrigation system (buried hoses) around the new trees and the forsythia replanted bushes to help insure their survival. Last, Joe got back to me when I had a couple of questions post-planting. Cons: When we agreed to hire them Joe said it would be about 3-4 weeks until installation. After fours weeks I had to call to find out what was going on. He stated they were not going to be able to make it for an undetermined time and would call in a week or so. When I reminded him of the originally quoted time frame, he was able to work us in (this was my rationale for only giving a B on responsiveness). Also, at the time of planting Joe tried to up-sell 1-2 more trees when it was not necessary. Fourteen trees every 4.5 feet was plenty for the project. All in all, they had a quality product and a good service (as previously stated the crew worked hard), and I would hire them again in the future.

Joe and his team did a great job on my retaining wall. His team was neat, professional and experienced. Joe came to the site several times during the project to ensure the work was being done correctly and to address my questions. He was very responsive to my emails as well. Overall, I think they did a quality job at a very reasonable price. I would definitely use them again.

All went well! The work was done quickly and the final punch list was handled quickly.

The guys came to start, each day was professional and the job was completed in a timely manner. Very nice experience and a beautiful job!

John designed the plan geared to my thoughts and ideas, and I made changes. The crew was expected in the a.m. Carried out the work in 1/2 day. Cleaned the area up and John called me the next day to make sure everything was satisfactory.

It went as promised. Employees were on time to arrive and worked throught the day for several days until the job was done. Big job!

Joe DiJiosia gave us very fair prices on all jobs completed. We had many estimates before procedding and his was the best overall deal with the amount of work provided. He came out several times on the job to make sure everything was done as requested. He even followed up over the many hot summers to remind us to water the plants. He has provided lots of help in answering all our questions about design, plants, and overall maintenance. I highly recommend his business to anyone due to his professionalism, knowledge, and care. We have received several compliments over the years with the work and design he has provided to our yard. It is a pleasure to look out the window or sitting in the yard each day. We will only use his services for landscaping, fencing, or hardscaping for any future jobs. Sal

Plymouth Nursery arrived when scheduled, workers were pleasant and courteous. Job finished as promised with no additional charges or add-ons.

I was involved in the planning from start to finish. The Plymouth workman are very professional. They clean up each day after work is completed. No problems during the installation. John and his team are very flexible in making adjustment when working with their customers.

They finally agreed to replace the tree (12/7/9), but wanted to charge more money for the new tree. We successfully fought that. It was identical to the old tree. They charged us an additional $200 to dig out the dead tree and put in a new live one.

The service from Plymouth is excellent. Dealt with John the President throughout the whole process including several revisions to our patio plan. They gave us an electronic concept drawing at no charge. The pricing was very competitive, the job started on-time and the work turned out great. The job took a week longer than expected due to longer than expected demolition of our existing concrete patio and stairs. I can't be happier with our new patio which went from eyesore to pcituresque in a matter of weeks. As with any company, just make sure to inspect the progress on an ongoing basis. When we did have questions or concerns with something, they were corrected immediately and without any problems. I had access to John by e-mail or phone almost anytime and he routinely visited the job site to make sure the work was being done well. I would highly recommend using Plymouth for any landscape projects!
