From the start Dave was very professional and courteous, and very responsive. Came out to give an estimate on upgrading our service from 100 to 200 amp. Dave told us (unlike another estimate we had) that we didn't actually need to upgrade the service to 200 amp, we just needed a larger panelbox with additional breakers. Also gave us an estimate on a new outdoor GFI outlet in the front of the house. I appreciated the honest assessment (in that it seemed like another estimate I got was trying to get me to pay for work we didn't need). I also ran some ideas past him for future projects and he was happy to discuss options with recessed lighting and installing a new outlet above our fireplace for a wall mounted plasma television. Dave came back out on the day of the upgrade to do the work. I wasn't able to be there, but I felt very comfortable not being there to supervise because I was so impressed with his professionalism when he came for an estimate. I called to check on them later in the day and it was already done. When I got home, it was like they had never been there, no mess and the work was perfect. I am extremely happy with Holly Electric and will be using them in the future. Honest assessments, fair prices, and professional workmanship. Thanks Dave!

He gave me a quote and we scheduled a date for the work via email. The work was completed as expected in a few hours. The new lights gave the room a much brighter appearance. It was very easy to work with Dave.

Dave is incredibly responsive! He answered my initial call promptly, and followed up with emails and a call where necessary. I had questions about the parts I was buying, and he was very helpful. A couple of things had to be done differently from what we had planned, but Dave told us immediately when a change was needed, and made sure we understood and OK'd the change. He was so reliable before he ever arrived that I had NO worries about whether he would show up, or how he interacted with customers. Everything works beautifully and it's a pleasure having a working bathroom again. The whole experience was very low key and low stress -- and did I mention that they were fast and efficient, and that they left the place really clean?

I was very happy with the work. Dave was punctual, responded to my emails quickly when I inquired about service. I liked being able to contact him through email. Dave quickly went to work and explained to me any problems that may occur before he started. He was done in a flash and made sure I was happy with his work before payment. He is a very professional electrician and will hire him again.

I was not home when the work was completed. However, my mother was and she was very impressed with the professionalism and work of the company. I was pleased with what they did and the price. I had contacted several other companies who tried to sell me much more work than was needed.

It was good. We got off to a slow start. I had to cancel, so we rescheduled and he was very nice about it. He then had to cancel but followed up with me. His assistant was efficient, friendly, professional and they charged what they said they would. I would definitely use them again.

Dave and his son (Brian) were one of many to provide us with a quote for the work. As far as the others, they were not too far off from Dave's quote, but enough to make us lean towards Dave. Also, given his reviews here on Angie's List, it seemed worth it. Dave and Brian were extremely friendly and very respectful of the items in the house. They covered the working area and cleaned up after themselves. My wife was even impressed with how clean they were, and that's saying something. They did a good job at trying to avoid making holes in the walls and ceilings, and spackled whatever they created. The work took two days (approx 11 hrs of work). All in all, I would easily pick Dave over again - great work for a great price!

The old dining room chandelier got bumped and did not work. I bought a new fixture thinking that the 40 year old fixture had bit the dust. When the new fixture did not work, I called Holly Electric. Dave came over at the scheduled time and quickly figured out that the problem was with the dimmer. He replaced the dimmer and the new fixture works great! About 3 hours after he left, I realized that the kitchen light switch (located right next to the new dimmer) did not work. I called him back and he came over to fix the kitchen switch free of charge. Start to finish, Dave was professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely call him again.

They arrived on time. They were a father and son and were very experienced and new exactly what they were doing. I was very pleased. They arrived at about 10:30 and left at about 1:30. I would definitely call them again if I need services. They were excellent!

Dave returned my call quickly and was able to shuffle his schedule around to fit me in on short notice as I had a Holiday Open House I wanted the work to be done for. He came to the house when he said he would. Due to having to look after the children, he worked unsupervised. He covered the floors with cloths and protected the carpets and walls as he worked. He cleaned up as he went. All in all we are very happy with Dave and his work. It was very clear that he does not take advantage of those who do not know the most effective and economical solution to electrical problems. I will definitely use him again for future work and probably more major work such as when the basement is finished. I canceled the other electrician which was almost 2 times as much.

Overall, I can't say enough for David's manner, his work, and prompt attention. We've used another electrician for years, but as of today, Holly Electrical will be where I call for any future electrical needs. He gets and A+ for promptness, quality, and easy going manner.

Everything was great from start to finish. Dave called me back in a timely manner to set up an appointment for an estimate. Dave & Brian showed up early, were very knowledgeable, and gave me a firm estimate for the work. Once I accepted their estimate, they were able to do they work on the spot, and managed to work around some of the chaos of moving into our house. They also gave us some recommendations about other electrical work that might need to be done in the future. Overall, I was extremely pleased with their service.

We were calling electricians to fix minor problems found in our new home during a home inspection. I was pleasantly surprised to reach Mr. Marks the first time around, as I previously had problems getting other electricians to answer the phone or to call us back. I told him the problems, he gave me an estimate and made an appointment. He actually called to confirm the appointment before he came and arrived a half hour early. He was very patient answering my questions, explaining what really needed to be fixed and what did not. He charged us exactly what he quoted over the phone. He and his assistant were pleasant, courteous, and professional. We highly recommend him.

Dave Marks installed the outlet for the hot tub and even filled the hot tub for us to make sure it was heating while he worked on the outlet for the garage door opener. He completed the projects while we were at work and called us to make sure it was ok to fill the hot tub. He was prompt and professional. We are using him again to update some of the electrical things in the house. We were able to schedule and communicate via email.

I called David and he answered his phone on vacation and said that he would get back to me when he got in town. Which he did quite promptly and made an appointment for the next day. He and his son came earlier then the estimated time, which worked out great for my schedule. They worked quickly and did everything that I asked about and even fixed an additional switch that originally wasn't part of the things that I had called about. Can't say enough good things about them, I would recommend them to anyone and I will be using them again.

We called Dave @ Holly Electric to get an estimate on having work done. Dave promptly returned my call even from his vacation spot. As soon as Dave returned from vacation, he called to follow up on setting up a time to come and give an estimate. Dave showed up on time, reviewed the work we needed done, made some good suggestions and gave us a very competitive quote. We scheduled to have the work done. Dave and his crew actually came early to the job so I could get to work on time. They performed all the work in one day, cleaned up the work sites and EVEN installed an extra light we had for the porch that was not on the original work order with NO charge. I would highly recommend this company for their professionalism, quality of work, work ethics and fair pricing. Also Dave is a dog lover which puts him over the top for me!

They are very professional and extremely courteous people to work with. I was very satisfied with the fact that they came in, did the job, left, and it seemed they were never there except for my new working light.
