Holly Electric

Dave Marks and his assistant did a great job of making the ceiling box, hanging the ceiling fan and adding the electrical for the fan. Came out very nicely. When the job was finished he told me the price had changed. He had quoted me $250 on the phone. He handed me the bill and he had changed it to $335. He gave no explanation for the $85 increase. I should have asked him, but he was clearly in a hurry to go. So, I went down stairs to write the check. When I came back in the room Mr. Marks had the faux crystal bed knob from the bed in his hand. He said it broke. He clearly had snapped it off himself. But, he would not acknowledge it. I was holding the check in my hand while his assistant (sorry I can't recall his name) was trying to fix the bed (it was tilting outward and he was trying to figure out why. Mr. Marks did not help in anyway, in fact he asked me twice if he could "hold the check for me". When his assistant and I finished with the bed I gave Dave Marks his check and said "If there is a problem with this bed knob can I call you?" To which he said "No, It's not my problem. I didn't break it.". Then they left. We were able to epoxy the crystal knob back on, but it was clear that it had been snapped off. There's no way to replace it and it doesn't look the same anymore. Although his work was good, I was very disappointed with Dave Marks lack of professional behavior, quick change on the price and lack of concern about my bed breaking. I would not recommend him for these reasons.

Dave Marks and his son did a terrific job. They were highly professional. When I first called him, he responded immediately. He also responded promptly to my subsequent e-mails. He showed up right on time, and worked non-stop on all my projects, which took a few hours. He gladly answered all my questions, and provided full and comprehensible explanations. He's an outstanding electrician- highly knowledgable, experienced, and professional. I will gladly use him again!

Dave was able to diagnose the issue over the phone that led me to contact the manufacturer to obtain the correct parts. Once the product arrived, Dave scheduled me in within a week and repaired the fan (located on a cathedral ceiling) so that it is operating once again. Dave and his son completed the job quickly and cleaned up nicely. I finally found a dependable electrician who returns my calls and texts! He is now my preferred electrician.

We contacted Holly Electric through email. The response was prompt and we were able to set up an appointment right away. Dave arrived on time and worked in a professional manner. He completed the work we originally planned on plus a couple of last minute items that we added. We were charged a very fair price, and would highly recommend Holly Electric.

We had a great experience working with Dave. He was very fast in getting back to me regarding the work I wanted performed. He answered all the questions I had and showed up on time to perform the install. The work was performed as promised to our specifications. We will definitely use Holly Electric in the future.

The installation was tricky as there was no accessible wiring coming into the house. However, Dave and Brian figured out a low cost workaround to get the cable installed with minimal damage to my existing walls.

I really enjoy working with them, they're always on time, they do an excellent job. Their work is always done well and on time.

I was and still am 100% satisfied with the work performed. They were courteous and professional the whole way through, did top notch work, and cleaned up after themselves. Nothing at all to complain about here, we will probably have Holly Electric back before the year is out for more work!

They arrived on time and were very professional. They communicated with me by email answering all of my questions before they arrived (which is very convenient for me). Once they arrived they accessed the wht they were going to need as every house is different). They went right to work (father and son) and were done in no time. $600 was a very fair price. I have been ripped off by some BIG companies in the past and got little work and little results. Holly Electric was great and we will hire them again for our next project to install additional lighting in the kitchen. Great experience!

We liked them so we had them come out and do more work. They're personable and their prices are competitive. They were easy to talk to and worked with us to put in the microwave. They worked with me to do what I asked them to do.

Dave and his son were prompt, professional, neat and courteous. We reviewed various options for running the wires and tapping into existing circuits vs. adding new. He let me know the pros and cons of each option, and presented the costs up front. He confirmed the appointment ahead of time, showed up on time, and completed the work promptly. He also cleaned up thoroughly when he was done. Overall, very pleased.

One of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long time. Dave showed up in the time window he gave me. Took a few minutes to assess what needed to be done and was able to complete the job right then and there. Was at my house for approximately 3 hours. Dave was very clean and checked with me multiple times to make sure I was happy with the progress being made. He also was able to answer a few unrelated questions for me relating to future projects that I would like to do. I would not hesitate to call Holly Electric and use them for any electrical needs that may come up, including the projects I have in mind for later in the year.

Installation of branch circuit and microwave took about 2 1/2 hours. All professionally done and works as anticipated.

Arrived 10 minutes early. Went right to work, explained what was wrong once he'd looked at the fixture, told me how much it would cost, got all the work done in less than an hour. Very professional and courteous service. We had played "phone tag" but each message I left was answered promptly and I appreciate the reminder call he left the day before the service.

Although there was a problem getting to the fixtures for wiring through the attic, David and his son were able to fish the wires through the ceiling and only made one small hole in the ceiling that was then covered to my satisfaction. All in all a very professional job and I would use them again.

Dave Marks is professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with from the initial phone call to the job completion. He was incredibly responsive and timely. He gave suggestions, recommendations, and information without any pressure or influence on our decision. He was happy to work around our schedule and timing. He and his polite son completed the work carefully and neatly. The recessed lights and chandelier look amazing! The whole kitchen looks so much better on top of all the kitchen updating we had already done. I had no idea how much lighting influences the look and feel of a room! We are overjoyed with Holly electric and we would be happy to recommend them!

I did not call around for other quotes so I do not know if the price was reasonable or not. However, I needed the work done fast due to the fact that the old fixture actually caught on fire (electrical spark) and there was no light at all in the bathroom. The response was fast and the work was professional.

They did a good job. They were reasonably priced.

Dave and Brian were early for their appointment. They installed one ceiling fan each in the front and back bedrooms. They were done in about 2 hours or so. Virtually no mess. The only thing is the fans turn on either by remote control or the chain instead of the light switch. (I did ask Dave about this and he said installation would be much more expensive if wired to light switch and outlet. A ganger would be needed, etc.) I am pleased so far, no problems at all. Both fans are quiet without any wobbling. I would use their services again!

It went well, all professional work with great cleanup. A little pricey since I could have put up the fan myself, but otherwise would use again.

The person with whom I spoke (I wish I could recall his name) was very helpful and pleasant. He was upfront that he did not do the work I needed, I needed a bigger company. I explained about an issue with a remote control for my living room light that kept going on and off on its own. Instead of saying I have to come out and there's a cost for that he told me it is probably set with the same code as my next door neighbor and all I needed was for one of us to change it. I taled to theneighbor and he said he wondered why his lights were going on and off without his using the remote. He changed the code and it was fine. Holly could have said I need to come out and check and instead got a customer for other little jobs because he was happy to share his knowledge with me and help even though it did not make him a fee.

We chose Holly because of positive reviews on Angies List. Dave was very prompt in returning our call, very professional and courteous. He and his son arrived on time, did all the work as promised, cleaned up after themselves. We were very satisfied, and would use them again, the price seemed quite reasonable, and they are nice people.
