I thought he did a really good job and he was very professional. There was one thing though; I don't think he was careful enough because he nearly electrocuted himself. I think he forgot to turn off the main switch in the fuse box. However, he was okay and was still able to finish the job.

I tried to install a hanging light fixture in my home and managed to knock out the power in half of the house. I called Dave and he made an appointment to come to my house the following morning. Dave arrived at the time we agreed upon to correct my mistakes and install the light fixture. He was courteous and professional. He installed the light fixture and corrected all of the "damage" I had done. Also, he freed a broken light bulb from inside a recessed light fixture. I highly recommend Holly Electric.

Dave called me back the same day that I contacted him. He tried to fix the problem with some advice over the phone first. When that didn't work, we were able to find a time that was convenient for both of us. He called that morning to say they were on their way and actually arrived early. They were very professional and courteous. I would definitely call him again.

Job was a bit tricky, but Dave worked it out and did an excellent job. I hired him for a second job to be completed in about 2 weeks because I was so impressed. A real winner!!! Job 2: Installation was perfect. He arrived promptly and even telephoned me the afternoon before to remind me of his arrival the next day. Dave's communication, work ethic, punctuality and quality of work done is truly excellent.

Dave does a great job. He came when he said he would, called first to make sure I was available, since he was fitting me into his schedule. Everything works correctly now, and is neat and tidy as well.

His price is slightly above average, but I feel assured that I am getting someone who will get the work done correctly without return visits, which I have experienced in the past with another company.

Holly Electric (Dave Marks) was prompt, clean, competent, and courteous. He agreed to stop by for an estimate at about 10 A.M. one morning, and at 10 A.M. on the dot he called to tell us he was running 5-10 minutes late. He reviewed our requirements, suggested some improvements to our plans, and emailed us an estimate that same evening. He showed up on the day he said he'd be there, on time, and got right to work. His son works with him. They finished in less time (1.5 days) than he'd estimated (2 days), and cleaned up after himself thoroughly. He kept us apprised of his progress the whole way. He left us a map of the circuits he'd installed, too. Dave's very Internet-savvy, which we particularly appreciated. Our schedules make it tough to trade phone calls, so it was nice that he's just as comfortable coordinating his visits over email.

Excellent. I couldn't be more pleased. Dave advised me on purchasing a ceiling fan and light fixture and arrived a week later exactly as scheduled to install it. The work was done professionally, efficiently and at an acceptable cost.

I called Dave, and he, as always, arrived as scheduled. Being a 55 year old house with many previous owners, Dave ran into some trouble with the electrical wiring while installing the recessed lights. He corrected the faulty wiring and completed that portion of the work. He cut out as little of sheetrock as possible, then the installation of the mini-pendants. Again, Dave had to fish wires to a location where there were no lights and again had to cut out sheet rock from the wall/ceiling, but it is quite a small hole. After the job was complete and after a full days work was ended, I inspected the jobs. I did not like the height of the pendants. Dave promised to come back to adjust and did return in just a few days as promised (at no additional cost). He cleaned up as he worked and cleaned & swept the work area when finished.

After finding Holly Electric on this site, I called Mr. Marks on a Saturday and left a message. He got back to me within the afternoon, and after a little phone tag, I was able to speak with him on Sunday (during playoff games, no less). I explained my problem over the phone, and after explaining my scheduling difficulties, he rearranged his own scheduled to come to my home the next day, Monday. He and his assistant were right on time, called me when they were close, and quickly discovered (much to my chagrin) one of the circuits on my breakerboard had tripped. Mr. Marks had asked me to check them when I spoke with him the night before, and I thought I had, but? In any event, he was professional, prompt, very fair about the price (even knocked some off because it was such a dumb thing), and I would recommend him and use him again at any time. I appreciated his service.

The job went fine. Dave was concerned about breaking the tile under the microwave and suggested getting a tile man in to remove some grouting to make a little more space for the safe removal of the microwave. This I did and then Dave came back and finished removing the old microwave and installed the new range hood/fan. He and his assistant worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up everything carefully. I was very pleased with their work. In addition Dave is personable and always called right back when I left a message. When he had an emergency call the morning of the second visit he called to ask if that would work with my schedule. Dave and his assistant are pleasant and easy to work with. This was a small job but Dave is coming back to do several more small things outside when the weather improves.

I was looking for an electrician to install a whole house generator. I called Holly Electric and asked for David Marks. After I explained what I wanted, he told me that it was not the kind of job that they do, but offered me the name and number of another electrician who he thought could handle the job. He was friendly and understanding. I will try him for any smaller jobs that I have in the future.

I called Holly Electric and my call was answered immediately. Mr. Marks listened to my problem, and explained to me in detail, what he thought needed to be done to remedy the problem. We set up an appointment for him to come out, within 3 days (he would have come sooner if it was deemed an emergency). Mr Marks arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and proceeded to assess the job. At that time, he explained why a new main was needed. He proceeded with the repairs and had everything on the truck, that was needed to finish. Mr. Marks was courteous, prompt and explicit in his explanations. We are extremely happy with his workmanship & prices. A true professional Master Electrician. He is definitely our ''go to'' guy for everything electrical!

Dave & his assistant arrived on time. Powder room fan has to be replaced; so he has to come back to install since he has to order a replacement fan. Running wire for the ceiling fan was a slight challenge due to duct work in the wall, but they ran the wire and installed the fan, apparently with no significant complications. I threw Dave a curve ball by purchasing a ceiling medallion to install with the fan. To keep my expectations realistic, he advised he may not be able to install the medallion; it can be difficult to install them with ceiling fans because of the design of some medallions vs. minimal clearance ceiling fan brackets allow. I told him to do his best, and he did. He installed the medallion; it looks like it was custom made for the fan - nice, clean fit & finish where the fan meets the medallion at the ceiling. He kept the holes for the wire small, and they should be unnoticeable after painting. Installed new lamp post, but left a photo cell loose in fixture

Nice guys. The room was cleaner when they finished up! We'll call them again for our next project.

Dave called several times to make sure we would be home for the work that was scheduled. He gave us a price upfront and stuck to it; he was efficient, polite and did excellent work. He recommended a product replacement for the old fan which we went with and are very pleased with. He was very easy to contact as well.

Dave suggested a new type of light for our driveway that is simply wonderful! It shines on a very wide area and we don't have to worry about tripping when we get out of our car!

Dave and his assistants definitely ascribe to the "Scotty" (of Star Trek) method of calculating job time, in that they said it might take a long time and knock big holes in our walls, but it ended up being very quick and we only had one small hole to patch (which we ended up asking them to put a phone jack in anyway, so, really, no holes to patch). One thing that is good to know about their working style ahead of time is that they like to have a plan beforehand. They are thorough about completing every item on their list, but they do not like to add items on the fly. The work they did was excellent and they are very personable. We'd definitely hire them again.

Job 1: Highly recommend. Will use again. He was punctual, professional and polite. He cleaned up when the job was done. Everything looks nice. Job 2: Dave was prompt in calling me back and setting up the appointment. He did the wire job neatly without making any holes in my walls. We're very satisfied with his work and would highly recommend.
