Two Men And A Truck

Well, the came on time but with too small of a truck and with one fewer mover than had been quoted. They were very careful moving the stuff but were very slow. It was only toward the end that they realized that there wasn't enough room in the truck. Fortunately, the storage unit was not far from the apartment. A phone call to the office got them to commit to doing a second run with a half hour (a fair time amount) discount to take care of travel time. While the movers were careful, they weren't correctly equipped (no dolly, no moving straps, etc...) and were pretty new at this moving thing. Shouldn't have been surprised but companies like this USUALLY have one experienced guy with one or more helpers. Not so here. They also weren't very good at packing the storage unit and I had to figure that out. The good news is that they took direction well and didn't bark at me when I started helping them at the storage unit.

This move was even better than the first move. They send 4 guys had to move an upright piano and because of two L-shaped turns in the stairs near the bottom, they literally lifted the entire piano up over the hand rails and maneuver it as it would never have gone through the two bends. These guys carried without any assistive devide. It was truly incredible. The day was hot and humid, and they positioned themselves in a relay in order to make at least 100 trips up and down toting boxes and furniture. Nothing was damaged. They made me sign a waiver for the particle board furniture (IKEA bookshelves) but then they strapped it with plastic wrap to help stabilize it for the trip and everything made it fine. The ONLY problem I had was even though I had given my new phone number and email addresses to the person when making the reservation, the guy didn't change it in the system so I didn't receive my reservation confirmation until I called about 10 days before the move to make sure the reservation was still okay (it was).

Great! The crew was awesome ! Curtis, Tarique, and Lewis (pardon the mispelling!) were very efficient, hard working and patient! They were challenged with some oversized pieces and high temperatures, but they took it in stride and were very professional. They even finished 2 hours under the estimate! We were so happy and grateful for their help!

Two Men and a Truck are great movers if you don't care about your furniture or your walls. The crew worked hard but their interest was speed. I believe they wanted to meet their estimate of 7 hours of labor but to make that goal they damaged a very expensive entertainment center and a piano. Indeed one of the reasons we hired Two Men and a Truck was because they claimed we didn't need a piano mover and that they were experienced at piano moving. However, when the crew got to the house with the upright piano they were surprised, claiming "no one told us to expect a piano". (The office contradicted them and said they were informed. Who is right? I don't know but this surely suggests poor management). They did not have a dolly as would be needed but moved the piano anyhow, seriously damaging the back and sides. Furthermore they gouged and dented the walls and a windowsill of our new townhouse. It was clear to me that they wanted to get done quickly. I would have gladly paid them an extra half an hour of labor to take their time and and to carefully move items without damaging them or the walls (and a windowsill). We reported the damage to the piano immediately and to the other furniture and walls the next day. The office claimed they would address the problem but after one week I have not heard from them. Did they listen attentively and tell me they would take care of it, only to hope I would forget? In addition to all of these issues their failure to respond promptly to our damage claims triggered this negative review. I would not recommend hiring Two Men and A Truck. Instead I would recommend finding a mover who is careful with your possessions and your home.

Great! We had 3 men they all were just great. They took the time to pad and wrap the furniture . Everything made it to the new location just fine. They were very nice had great personality. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who is moving. You will not be sorry you called them.

Two Men And A Truck were professional, punctual, very nice, and a pleasure to have in my home. They have A+ customer service and took care very good care with removing the furniture from out of my house into the truck. My nephew reported to me that upon delivery it was the same thing. They went out of their way to put the furniture exactly where he wanted it.

The move from the South Hills to the North Hills went smooth. The movers came on time and were very efficient in getting all of mine and my wife's belongings moved from one location to another. The work was done in just under the time expected and few items were damaged. Only damage was on some particle board book shelves, which they do have you sign a waiver before moving because of the material, and a tea cup. The damage to the particle board shelves was understandable and the tea cup was probably our fault by not packing it well enough. The movers were very apologetic. I definitely appreciated their professionalism and would recommend them to anyone who is moving.

The crew called after finishing their truck check to let us know they were on their way. They were scheduled to show up between 9 and 10 am, and they were at the house close to 9 am. They whole crew (three men) walked through the house with me, and then the head crew member sat down and went over paperwork with me while the other two started carrying out boxes. They carried everything by hand. They didn't use a dolly for any of it. They worked quickly and were very professional. Once they were at the new house, they walked through with my husband to learn which rooms were which, and didn't need to ask again. Everything went smoothly! I would use them again for another move, and I will recommend them to all of my friends.

They did the actual move. I boxed and they did the moving. I moved apartment to apartment. They were polite and courtesous. To load me it was three men and to unload it was two men. It was immediate service. It was an excellent job and they were terrific.

Placed a call for several companies to get an estimate to move us from a storage unit and a house. These guys responded back promptly with a great price. Moving day came and they came to the house first to get the big stuff, then to the storage unit. Prompt, courteous, friendly and very efficient. Moved into a new house with a driveway still in mud. First thing they did was to put down protection over all the carpeting and walkways. When moving in, were very careful not to track mud around. Again, most courteous. At the end, they finished about 3 hours ahead what they estimated, and a lower price than quoted. The next time we move again (hopefully not for a very long time) we would have no hesitation using this company. all A;s from start to finish.

This was the best moving experience I've had. They responded immediately to my quote request--less than 24 hours--and explained all of the costs in great detail. There were no hidden fees or surprises when I received the final bill. They were easy to reach by phone and email, which made things particularly easy, and quickly answered all of my questions. The two movers they sent were very professional and quick.

Excellent service- very professional. I've used them 3 other times for apartment moves and despite having different movers I've always had a positive experience. The men were efficient, pleasant, and professional. Would absolutely call them again.

The move went well. There were six guys and two trucks. For the most part the team leader kept the entire team working, though there were a couple of guys who I would find occasionally texting or standing around. The other crew members stayed on them, though, since this was a large and time consuming move. In terms of time consuming, that was the ugly surprise. The estimator had predicted that the move would cost about $2500; even though we had culled an enormous amount of furniture from the time he had done the estimation and had moved a great deal of stuff ourselves prior to the move, the actual move was $4000 and took five hours longer than he had predicted for less stuff than he had seen. Still not sure quite how that happened. On the whole, though, we seem to have very little damage. The items were carefully packed and for the most part carefully moved. I would use them again, though my plan overall is to never move again in this lifetime!

We couldn't be happier with our move. The two guys that came to move us were excellent. Moving out of the house furniture and boxes were in 3-4 different places. Before they got started we did a walk-through so everyone was clear on what was going and what was staying. During the move itself, they were incredibly careful with the boxes marked fragile (and there were a lot of them) as well as an antique trunk. They were incredibly courteous and nice during the move, keeping us informed and involved while letting us being unpacking. We'd use Two Men and a Truck again in a heartbeat.

My experience with this company happened some time ago, but there is a reason for that (I decided never to do business with them again, I've moved since my encounter with them, just didn't contact them). I dealt with this company years ago when I was moving into a new apartment complex. The place I lived at had narrow doors and not the best of parking. To make a long story short, it was a difficult move. A man who worked for the company (he was driving one of their trucks) who identified himself as a manager happened to be in the neighborhood. I told him I was looking to move soon so he took a look at the job and gave me a "quote" (well, his version of one anyway). Well, after looking at the job, it was plain to see he knew the job was going to be difficult. Heck, I moved all the stuff into the place, so I knew it was not easy. That is why I was looking for professionals to do it for me. Apparently he decided the job was going to be too difficult. His quote consisted of giving me a basic run down of how they charge, and he mentioned how the narrow the walkways were a few times (to point out it was going to take time to move). I didn't mind that so much, I was willing to pay a little extra, I completely understood that this was not an easy job. Later that week, I called their office to set up the move date and I got the run around. First, the man who had been to my place never wrote down/passed on the details for the office like he said he would. I had to give the office manager all the details and specifics again then wait for a quote (they said they'd call with that later in the week). Three days later, no call. I called to ask if they had settled on a quote and was told my information had been lost. At that point I decided to go elsewhere with my business. It was plain to me that these people were afraid of work. They only wanted to deal with ideal, simple, problem free jobs. If there is any challenge at all, they aren't up to the task. Who wants movers with this mindset working for them?

The three young men arrived 45 minutes early. They moved everything quickly, efficiently and didn't damaged ANYTHING. This was fantastic since my sister had hired movers to move a piano from our house to hers. Those movers put a hole in our hall wall and a gouge in the hardwood floor. We can't say enough about how please we were with Two Men (or three men in our case) and A Truck. We have already recommended them. They also overestimate the cost so you are not surprised at the price. We ended up paying half of what they estimated. GREAT GREAT COMPANY!

The service we received was excellent. The three guys (Garrett, Dorian and Eddie) were on time, professional, courteous and very careful with our possessions. We know that often this is not the case with movers, so we were very appreciative of their excellent service. They made what could be an awful, dreaded experience a pleasant one! Thanks so much!

I chose not to use the company because she informed me that for: Loungeroom furniture (Tv, entertainment center, couch, chair, ottoman)Desk, Bedroom furniture (bed, dresser, drawers, nightstand)~20-30 boxes I would need THREE (3) men at $130/hr, 2 hr minimum, then 15 minutes increments billed. In addition, there's a "travel fee" of $195 for the men to get to and from my house (isn't that kind of the point of their job?). I am in zipcode 15238, they are in 15234. I informed the woman that I'd have to pass because it was very expensive compared to the other quotes I got. She made no attempt to discuss or negotiate, just said "OK then" and hung up. I find it difficult to believe it would take three men several hours to move what amounts to three rooms of furniture. Granted, there are stairs, but it's just not a lot of stuff at all. The minimum fee she quoted was $500 and that was just for 2 hours so god knows how expensive it would have ended up. If it's going to cost that much, I'll get a professional moving company rather than the "2 men and a truck".

They got the job done and they were hard working.

They were truly exceptional and helped me with tasks that they probably didn't have to do. Furthermore, the move was last minute, but they responded right away. I would definitely recommend them.

I was very happy with them. It wasn’t very cheap. We moved about five miles. We had a washing machine that had to be moved to my old house and they didn’t have any problem with that. They showed up when they said they would. I would use them in the future.
