Two Men And A Truck

The movers were great. They were on time, friendly, and worked quickly. I offered to help out, but they had everything under control and worked methodically to get the truck packed and moved up to a 3rd floor apartment. The price was a little high, $95/hr plus fixed service charges and a 2 hr minimum on saturday, but I appreciated their efforts because what took under 3 hours would have taken much much longer.

You box everything up, label the boxes, label the room that they will put the boxes in, and they do everything. I loved their service. They were done in one day considering how big our house is. They worked morning and night to finish the job. They are a little expensive but it was worth it. They were professional, prompt and personable.

The team was very professional and did an excellent job moving everything. I would hire them again for my next move.

The movers arrived promptly on moving day morning. They assessed the situation while we completed our paperwork. Then, they began wrapping our furniture items in clear plastic to protect them and keep everything together. They quickly carried furniture and boxes to the truck (in about an hour or less). When the studio was loaded up, we drove a few blocks to the storage unit where more items were loaded by the movers. When we arrived at the house, the team carefully unloaded our items and arranged them as requested. They were very careful not to brush up against walls. The movers finished faster than expected and were very professional and friendly throughout the move. I would definitely recommend them to a friend and would use again. Overall, I was extremely impressed with them!

The three men (William, Deondre and Rahim) were great! They were punctual and polite and the move went smoothly. I also appreciated how quickly they worked and was pleasantly surprised to see my actual price was $300 less than the estimated price. Definitely will use them again!

I contracted with Two Men and a Truck to move my furniture and personal belongings from an apartment to a townhouse. From the initial consultation with Penny to the actual move, the process went very well. Penny explained all aspects of the move, including how actual billing time was calculated and provided me with an apporximate cost quote for the move. I had packed most of my belongings myself and the three men who performed the move worked very quickly loading my packed boxes and furniture. In fact, they were so quick that my actual cost was much less than what was originally quoted. The guys placed all of my furniture and boxes exactly where I specified and completely set up my bed. They were very professional and friendly as well. All in all, the move went very smoothly and I would not hesitate to use Two Men and a Truck again.

Went extremely well. The movers (TJ and Chad) were friendly, professional, and accommodating. They carefully wrapped the furniture in shrink wrap and padding. They were exceptionally careful with the antiques and even the owner of the repair shop commented on how exceptionally well they packed and handled the furniture.This was a complex, detailed job and the movers took care of everything just as we asked. Even the truck was shiny and clean.

They moved a lift chair and a china cabinet from one location and delivered each item to different location. The two young men were punctual, polite, and very careful to protect the furniture and to move it carefully. |I was quite pleased with their professionalism.

The movers arrive on time and were very friendly. They knew their job. This was a partial packing service. They only packed the breakables and furniture. By lunch time they had packed almost everything. The move went smoothly and they finished earlier then they had thought. Which means, the costs were lower then quoted. Saved money, which is always good! Unfortunately, when we unpacked our breakables, we found some items broken, including a small art object. After contacting the company about the damaged goods, they asked me for pictures and average price of objects, which I sent. As we had some unusual goods, they came and picked it up for pricing. Have not heard back yet. I strongly recommend to take an extra insurance for cases like mine. We paid an extra $50 which covered a certain amount and it is worth it. I imagine they will pay or fix or replace my damaged goods. This is an incomplete review, as I am still waiting to see what will happen with my goods. UPDATE: Despite having already submitted a review for this service provider, I would like to add something as there were some pending business regarding damaged items. Two Men and a Truck will reimburse the broken bowls and repair a third object. They were pretty fair regarding the value of the damaged objects. However, one of the objects is an art work that have sentimental value to me as well as financial. The person that took care of this part of the business has been very considerate towards the art work. I'm waiting for them to return it to me to see if the work is well repaired.

They didn't arrive with enough boxes to complete the job which meant they were unable to pack and transport the contents of a closet. We ended up having to pack and move the contents ourselves. They were on time, however, and charged a competitive price for the service.

I had never hired a moving company before and I thought 2 Men and A Truck did a great job moving all of our stuff into a storage unit when we sold our house in April. The move took less time than we were quoted and we saved some money because of the employees' quick work. However, we recently moved our stuff out of the storage unit and noticed that the "quick work" came at a cost. There were a couple broken items (an art easel, leg from a dresser and leg from a couch ... two of which were new) and some dings in the furniture. They piled our storage bins on the couches and because we moved our items into storage four months ago, the couch cushions are flattened into the shape of the bins. We didn't use Two Men to move our stuff out of storage due to finding a company that was cheaper in price, and after seeing the care that the other company displayed for my furniture, I don't think I will be using or recommending Two Men and a Truck again.

Bob, TJ and Eric arrived on time and wasted no time in getting everything ready. They wrapped everything in bubble wrap and pads. I had purchased an armoire from a small furniture store that uses another local moving company for delivery. The other moving company could not get the armoire upstairs but Bob, TJ and Eric were able to do it without scratching it or the newly painted walls in our stairwell. I have move at least 10 times in my adult life but thanks to these 3 personable and professional men, I can say this was the easiest move yet. I would very highly recommend them and think Two Guys are very fortunate to have such dedicated employees.

The move was a small one, but with a few challenges that the 3 movers handled well. James was the driver, person in charge of paperwork on moving day, and the person with the most experience with Two Men and a Truck (more on why I know this shortly). Maurice and Dante were the other 2 movers on this job. On moving day, they showed up at the beginning of the arrival window and very quickly moved everything out and packed up the truck. Maurice and James had more experience tan Dante, and did a nice job of coaching him with some of the larger/awkward items. After the short drive to the apartment hi-rise I was moving to, they quickly began to unload the truck, stacking everything near the service elevator as required by the property management company for the building. The problem was - none of the elevators were running...a fire alarm had gone off shortly before we arrived and there was a problem in resetting the elevators. Several tenants moving in that same morning had their items lined up waiting to use the elevators as well. The Two Men and a Truck guys took advantage of this delay to bring everything in from the truck and line it all up so that as soon as the elevators were working, they could quickly load the elevator. During the time we stood in the basement of the building, talking to each other and with the one maintenance man from the property management company, I found them to be polite, professional - and smart. I also learned that James had several years of experience with the company while Maurice had just under a year, and the youngest of them Dante, had just a few months. They made friends with the property management guy (important later). They tried walking up the 12 flights of stairs to my apartment to judge whether or not they could start moving boxes without the elevator. Soon after they investigated the stairs and were discussing what items were best to try to move by the long walk up the stairs, one of the elevators was turned back on. The maintenance man they befriended held the elevator for them and ran it just for them - moving everything up in 3 elevator trips. Despite the elevator being down for nearly an hour, they finished my move in 2 hours - and the estimate from the company had been 4 hours. I will absolutely use them again and would recommend them to a friend. Other tenants moving in that day were trying to hire them on the spot (they politely declined as all jobs must be booked through the main office - and they had another job that afternoon to get to anyway). The only down side was from the initial agent at the office who handled my estimate; he was not great about getting back to me with answers to my question or to help me book the move, but after I connected with someone else, I got the information I needed and was able to book the move without further delay.

We are very pleased with the service. The movers were professional and friendly. Everything occurred when they said it would and nothing got broken. A+

What more could you ask from a mover - Chad and Dave arrived on time, went immediately to work, carefully wrapped all the wood furniture and glass tables, loaded their truck and off they went to make two local stops. They were courteous, professional, careful, friendly with a very positive attitude.

Two Men & A Truck were great movers. They showed up on time and were very fast in wrapping up our furniture and loading the trucks. Our move involved going from a 2 story to a 3 story home on a very very hot day, and they were still chipper and fast moving. The movers were very careful with where things were to go and helped to get a refrigerator into the basement with a low ceiling set in the right place for use. They finished our move under the estimated time by 2 hours and also under budget from the original estimate. Definitely professionals.

A great experience overall. The movers were very fast and careful with our belongings. They were very punctual and polite as well. They moved our things in 2 hours less than we were quoted and saved us around $200. We would contact two men and a truck again in the future if we needed movers!

Price seemed reasonable and their final bill was considerably under their quote. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly, responsive, and professional. The movers themselves were a pleasure to be around and worked incredibly hard, especially considered their rates are by the hour. In fact, my only minor gripe would be that they could slow it down a bit occasionally, being a bit more careful and thorough. In the end, everything went very well. There was minor damage (knicks) to 1 or 2 items, but nothing big. I really liked that they will give you one quote for moving and one for packing. You can do none, some, or all of the packing, and you will be charged accordingly. It's nice to save if you pack ahead of time but know that they will be there to do whatever you don't get to ahead of time.

The four guys (Cliff, Julius, James and Matt) showed up half an hour earlier than expected, got started working right away, and worked hard all day. Our move took longer than anticipated because we had more items then we realized. Cliff explained all the paper work and went over everything that was covered and what wasn't (Particle board items). They were very professional and our entire move took 11 hours. We had been quoted at 8-9 hours, but with more items than expected and all the intricate turns, they had to make to get things in the front door, up the stairs and through narrow doorways, they did a fantastic job! There were a few items that were chipped, but these were cheaper particle board items and we weren't concerned that much about them. Considering the amount of items that were moved, this was very minimal. I would definitely use them again and I would recommend them to anyone I know that is about to move! Great job, guys!!!!
