"So glad that your move went well. Thank you for using Two Men and a Truck and for posting your positive experience!"
"Two Men and a Truck Pittsburgh thanks you for using our services. We love passing on your kind words to our dedicated crew!"
"The morning of the move, we experienced mechanical issues with the truck assigned to the customer, which we thought we could correct, but were unable to accomplish. This required bringing in another truck from our other location, which had been part of a multi-truck move the previous evening. That truck, which had been completely emptied, had to be restocked with pads, dollies, and moving supplies, which resulted in the extended delay. We kept an open line of communication with the customer. There was no dishonesty and we did the best we could to remedy the situation without having to cancel the move. Not sure what bloodbath the customer is referring to (perhaps the stress of moving) as everything else went well and the customer would hire us again."
"Our trained crews are the best in the business and we love hearing that they go above and beyond on getting moves completed within the estimated window. We're happy when you're happy. We shared your review with our crew! Thanks."
"This move was originally scheduled back on April 22, 2015 the amount of furniture on the estimate did not warrant the necessity for an in home estimate. The customer told us that we would be stopping at their mother's apartment, located in downtown Pittsburgh, to pick up a few pieces of furniture and roughly 5 boxes after we loaded the main part of the move located in Monroeville. The medium size home that the customer refers to is actually a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, and 2,000 sq. ft. home. This is not a medium size home. We called the customer two days before the move to confirm everything and go over the list of furniture that we had on the estimate. They confirmed the list and told our sales manager, once again, only a few pieces of furniture and maybe a couple of boxes from the downtown apartment. When the men arrived to the house, they noticed that there were more items than what was on the list. As the move was progressing our driver asked them what all we were picking up from the apartment and the customer first responded with only a few items, like 5 or 6 pieces of furniture. Then a little later in the day the customer stated that their maybe more like 8 or 10 items. Then before our men left the house to head for the apartment the customer said we would be picking up like 10 to 15 items and some boxes. When our men got there and preformed the walk through, there was a fully furnished 1 bed room apartment that they wanted us to move. That is when the driver called our sales manager to explain that all the items would not fit on the truck. Our sales manager then called the customer to explain this to her and she did not respond well to that news. The driver did everything in his power to create more space on the truck so that we could get all of the big heavy items to fit. I told the customer over the phone that they would be responsible for moving any items left over and that since they had more items than what was originally agreed upon, that there would be an increase in price of $600. The customer agreed to the terms and our men got back to work. Thank You, Josh Mastascusa General Manager"
"{member's name removed} move time went 20 minutes over his quoted estimate. We replaced his dresser with an identical brand-new one for $190. We also sent him a check for $210.00 for any other problems. This amount far exceeded the sixty-cents per pound which is the coverage {member's name removed} chose. "Not sure we can take credit for this move. This lady is not in our system. Perhaps she was moved to Pgh by another franchise, or the move was booked under another name. Dorothy Coll Prersident TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Pittsburgh"
"Thank you for giving us the opportunity!"
"While it is regrettable that the above member had such a poor experience with a moving service, we have no record of moving the above named member. We have looked at our schedule for November 17th, 2014 and can confirm that we did not have any scheduled moves in the area that is listed above. We also checked the days prior to and the days after the stated service date and, also, there were no scheduled moves in the area associated with the above mentioned address. In addition, we have also checked our GPS tracking system that locates each of our trucks and the routes they take on daily basis, and we have no account of trucks being in the area of [Removed] It is important to note that, per the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, registered movers in Pennsylvania cannot give guaranteed prices on local moves. The member’s statement that we agreed on a price would not be permitted as we can only give estimates, not binding prices. Consumers should take note that there have been multiple occurrences in the past of non-registered movers fraudulently using the name Two Men and a Truck on the internet. We believe that to be the case in this instance. While we do everything in our power to prevent this, some of the offenders slip through the cracks, and unfortunately, people get taken advantage of. Also, when Googleing “moving in Pittsburgh,” local licensed companies, put “TWO MEN AND TRUCK” in their listings, and customers are misled. Dorothy Coll, President TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Pittsburgh"
As for the move itself; Jack, Andrew, and Doug did a great job. I received a courtesy call to alert me of their transit time. They were courteous and professional but also knew how to engage customers. They were efficient in moving our stuff and were careful with fragile items. The only item to suffer any damage was the glass on a cheap Ikea frame. Would happily use the service again, and would recommend the team of 3 guys who moved us.
"Regarding the piano, we were in contact with [Member name removed] and got a crew to the house within 36 hour of the issue being called to our attention. Upon inspection of the piano, it was on sliders and the [Member name removed]’s had attempted moving the piano, our crew verified that the leg was on correctly, but a wedge was loose. This problem could have been caused by sliding the piano. Attempting to slide a heavy grand piano is extremely dangerous and can damage the legs of the piano. Fortunately, the legs did not break. Before leaving, our men made sure the leg was on correctly and everything was tightened and the piano was in place where [Member name removed] wanted it. As far as the damages from the previous move, the movers did not notice these the day of the move. This is why we give a grace period for the customer to call in with claims they may have noticed. Once [Member name removed] called in regarding those claims, we had a repair vendor out there, and the items were fixed promptly and to the [Member name removed]’s satisfaction. Dorothy Coll, President TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Pittsburgh"
