It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. It was mediocre as to what we expected but it was okay. I guess maybe we felt we were getting a tune up but if I remember correctly, maybe they did tune up something but they basically evaluated the system and wanted us to spend $800 to have this whole thing acid washed. I kind of felt like it was kind of a push for more business. Realizing that we didn't have anything broken and it was just kind of a preventive maintenance thing is what we were expecting. I guess we did get that. The man was only here for a very short time. I will probably not call them if I have an air conditioning problem just because it seemed like they were just pushing for more business. My overall experience was satisfactory. It was a very reasonable price. They were on time. They were careful where they were walking and everything like that. The only negative is it seemed to me like a push for a much larger service.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I've had them here previously with the installation of my air conditioning system approximately 5 months ago. They seemed fairly thorough, congenial and prompt. I haven't identified any problems with the work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went fine. They just came out, they did what they were supposed to do, and left. They did what I expected them to do. They inspected the furnace and they seemed to be pretty thorough, and everything was fine. I think they got it done pretty quickly. It wasn't like I had to wait a long time. There were no extra charges. I would actually use them again because they said if anything comes up, that wouldn't be charged because they do guarantee their work.

Excellent, professional experience. They were on time, clean, explained everything in detail to me. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Provider arrived as planned. Services were performed very thoroughly. Service technician explained in advance what they would be doing, then reviewed the detailed results of the inspection when complete. This was the first time in my experience where a technician actually took the time to review and explain everything in such detail....greatly appreciated.

Waste of my money, did nothing but try to make a sale that was ridiculous pricing. Also said the high pressure side of the AC unit was high and needed acid washed for 500.00 and needed electrical parts as well. To make a long story short I hired another heating company from Murrysville, I shared none of the above information. Both units were checked, heat exchanger was removed to examine based upon which look like a return air problem that was nothing more than a very high efficiency filter that was causing the problem. Both units are still installed working fine. I called Angies list to complain about the service, my response sorry I can help you find someone else in the area. No thanks I took your great deal and feel I wasted the money. POOR service on both parties. I would doubt that I use the service again, or frankly steer clear of the selling pitch deals. You have a no lose recesion proof business, paid by both customer and provider. Good Luck......

Justin was very proffesional, he showed were condensation was accumalating in the intake of the furnace and causing rusting in the furnace. He showed the solution of installing a trap to catch the condensation. We discussed about removing particuletes from the air and suggested a uv light, which he installed. Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend South Hills Electric.

He came. He looked at the current humidifier and determined that it couldn't be repaired or removed due to new construction near the furnace. He left.

He arrived about 20 minutes later than anticipated, but called to say he had trouble finding our location. The man was friendly and professional. He immediately started on the Hunter ceiling fan for the bedroom that was replacing another fan. I also had a Hunter remote bought specifically for that model fan. The electrician installed the fan and attempted to install the remote sensor in the fan head. He then advised my husband that the remote is not for this model and he cannot fit it in the motor head. He installed the fan and then moved on to the light fixture outside the front door which was switched out with a new one. He encountered no difficulty on this task and completed it in less than 15 minutes. He finished his time and left. I had to leave while he was still working with the fan and my husband did not try to operate the fan while he was here. When I turned the fan on, I heard a loud clicking noise that increases with the speed of the fan. It was immediately obvious upon turning the switch. My husband said he never demonstrated the fan to him, but just showed him that it was installed and he did not check the work at the time. Obviously, an error on his part. I looked for the instructions for the fan and realized that the installer had never opened them as they were still in plastic along with the balance pieces for the blades. The fan instructions also included how to include a remote sensor. My husband and I have tried to fix the clicking but to no avail. This man never checked his work, nor did he attempt to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer for the remote or the fan installation. I have a $200 fan that makes a loud noise when used and a remote that was not installed. I intend to buy a new fan and hire a new electrician for putting it in and will never use your service again.

Excellent experience. Missed my first appointment and I had to reschedule - they were very understanding and not upset, even though the Technician waited for awhile at my home. Today the Technician arrived exactly on time and was friendly and professional. Justin inspected my gas furnace and took the time to explain what he found and make recommendations. Very pleased with today's visit and highly recommend them.

They arrived on time. They made sure the house was not dirty by their shoes by using shoe covers. They perform the check on a timely fashion and explained repairs needed.

told me 2 parts were iffy. but they could go in 3 days or 3 yrs. so i thought he was not trying to sell me something i didn't need. was on time. put booties on , to keep my carpet clean. and was nice.

It went fine. Their response was fairly close to when it was scheduled.

Justin was ahead of schedule and called to see if it was ok to come a little early which was great for me. He was polite and covered his shoes with some paper boots. He explained everything that he had found and answered all of my questions. He was very professional and very personable. I will use this company again.

It worked out fine. The man who came out showed up on time. He was very very nice. He did what he was supposed to do and that was it. It was a fine experience and I would certainly call them again. Their pricing sounded good to me and I went with it so I would think that it is in the ballpark of everybody else. The air conditioner is working because it was not broken. He made sure that everything was okay.

The company notified us when we were scheduled for our service appointment and also sent a reminder a couple of days before. Justin even called to say he could come earlier then scheduled if that was convenient with us. He was friendly, courteous, and explain everything he did and the outcome. Justin listed all the parts (capacitor, blower, inducer, manifold, pressure switch, heat exchange, filter, thermostat, high limit, etc.) on his job list. He checked and indicated the range which the parts were performing and also inspected others to make sure they all passed inspection. Everything passed inspection. We were very happy with his work and the fact that everything was in good working order.

It was good; the service was pretty much what I expected.

Professional, showed up on time, and explained the fix. Pricing out of a book with a price list. This meant I knew I was getting the same price for the service as everyone else.

I was very pleased with my time with the South Hills representative. He was very helpful in explaining the ins and outs of how my HVAC system works, given that this is a new house for me. He was also quick to make a few suggestions to better the efficiency of my whole house system, even with elements that could not profit his company. He was just a really helpful gentleman. I have already called ahead to make future appointments with South Hills Electric for regular check-ins and tuneups.

Very prompt and professional and friendly. Everything was fully explained to me and I was given three options for repair. I selected the most expensive option to make sure everything was perfect and safe and not just taking the "bandaid" approach. Very pleased with the work and cleanup. It hurts to pay that much money though.

The service provider asked me to get a refund when they didn't want to come out to do the work because the first time they come out I wasn't home. I was in the grocery store down the street and I repeated asked them to call my cell phone when they said they'd call before they got to my home.

My wife was there for installation. Said that the young man was very professional and nice. He showed her the basic controls and left the rest for me. I got this through Angie's List Big Deal and talked with a neighbor who got the same thing done from the same company. It was much more expensive, he was also happy with the service and install.
