He did a very good job, was very thorough and professional. He took his time and explained things, and was very helpful.

I called on May 30th to schedule someone to come to my house for an estimate of work to be done. I got an email that the appointment was booked for June 5th at 12 PM. I had another contractor scheduled to come at 1 PM and 2 PM. By 12:25 no one had showed up or called. I called the office to ask why. The person who answered said she would call the person who was scheduled to come out. He (Jeff) called me about 12:45 and agreed to come at 2:30. He showed up around 2:45, we discussed the work to be done. He advised he had to check on some parts and would email me an estimate that night or the next day. On June 12th, after not receiving ANY contact, I emailed the company at the address I received the appointment info from advising that I had not received any estimate info and to please advise me ASAP if they were still interested in doing the job. I never received a response. Since it was a somewhat complicated issue I can understand if they decided not to do it but a simple communication advising me of that would've made it quicker for me to move on to another company (which I did). Extremely unprofessional on their part to not have responded or followed up.

Did a perfect job, included all the extra details (testing, wore booties to keep floor clean, on time, done quickly). Would use again.

On the holiday weekend, I called South Hills Electric about a sudden minor electrical problem. The gentleman I spoke with (alas, I did not get his name) was pleasant & patient, & told me what to do. He waited on the phone until I returned to tell him that his advice had worked. I was relieved to not need an electrician, & to know where to go in the event that I did need one in the future.

However, when I scheduled the appointment, the provider stated the big deal could only be used between 8 am - 5 pm. The fine print of the deal only states it must be during normal business hours and on the providers Angie's List page, it lists their business hours as 12 AM-11:30 PM. SO, I still think it should be honored during those hours. But, I was in a pinch so, I used them anyway and had to pay $89 for the service call.

The service went fine they showed up on time. when we lost power we were only without power for 6 hours, There was an issue in the cost and corrected it right away.

Bryan arrived an hour late, but he did alert me of delay wilh an on-time call. He went right to work to identify tricky problem in wiring that caused power outage in several rooms. It turned out to be bad connection in one wall outlet's behind-wall wiring Very professional, pleasant and thorough in completing job.. Good experience overall.

I called because my tenant who lives next door kept blowing fuses while I was away. They came right out, gave me a quote for both her house and mine and started work on her house immediately! He will do our house next week. He was very professional and even though he could not be here the whole time he is having someone come in and keep working so that the job would be done today. I'm very impressed and happy with the price. I called someone else first and had to leave a message and they still haven't returned my call 4 hours later.

So far it was great. I didn't need the deal because it was going to be a bigger project.

The repairman was professional, and was able to come out to repair my AC the same day, thankfully (a hot day in June). He was professional and performed the work efficiently.

Outlet had been damaged during a storm surge two days prior to service. Provider made an appointment within 1 hour of my initial call, called before coming to the appointment, was on time, performed the work in a professional manner, and did not try to sell more services. I was quite impressed.

There were positives and negatives to the deal.

We liked the idea that Justin was the installer along with his team, arrived on time at 8AM and finished the job by 2PM. I learned of South Hills El. from Angieslist, and now that it is installed I would recommend their serive to those who need it. John

They were very professional and explained everything that they were doing. However, it turned out that they were not familiar with our furnace type (Rheem), so they had to come back and fix a "rewiring" they did. My husband knew something was wrong with the fan speed so they had to come back and undo their correction. I would certainly use them again if we moved and had a furnace other than a Rheem.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The guy was great. They were able to come quickly and they were very thorough. The most important part was that they didn't try to sell me something I didn't need like so many previous air conditioning companies, which I appreciated. Everything was fine and I didn't need anything. I didn't spend any additional. They were prompt. I would definitely use them again.

They were right on time, however, the price was a little high. They did a very nice job. We had them install a ceiling fan and he had to buy a bracket and everything else. I also asked him to install a light above our shower, which he was able to do with no problem. The workmanship was excellent but it was a little pricey.

Went very well. Found an issue with under cabinet lighting that I had done by a handyman. Was mis-wired , which when the switch lighting was corrected, caused a short in the transformer box for one of the lights. South Hills is coming back to correct the wiring, as well as install a new box.

They were great. I wasn't here. I should mention that they said in their ad that they only service electrical furnace and mine was an oil furnace. But they did the best that they could but they told me that I had to get a part replace and I would have to call the person who normally services my furnace. That wasn't their fault but I had no problem with their service. Their professionalism was good. I saw their ad on Angie's List and the price was very good and that's what initially motivated me to call. I didn't spend anything extra. The experience I had was good although they don't normally service my kind of furnace, so I may not be the best judgement. But the dealings that I had with them was professional, they were knowledgeable and I won't have any problem recommending them.
