They were very good. I had no problem with them at all. They were good people. They did an excellent job and professional. I was quite satisfied. I think they're in line with everybody else.

Everything about the service appointment went well. The technician was on-time, friendly, and professional. He tuned up the furnace and gave me some information about the kinds of filter I was using. The whole appointment took only about 20 minutes. The is the second time I've had South Hills Electric work on my furnace, and I've been very happy both times.

I must amend my previous review as I discovered that they did attempt to email my quote me but had the email address incorrect. Upon discovering the error, they contacted me and sent the quote immediately The service man showed up in a timely manner and provided good insight on how to perform the job. He also noted some potential issues with our furnace. He stated that he would put together a quote for the sub panel as well as the furnace. After four weeks, we have not received a call back or an estimate to perform services.

It went well. They were here abut 2 1/2 hours and were efficient in their work. I had the boss come over in order to assess putting can lights in the FR.

I had a "whole" house electrical inspection yesterday, which took 20 minutes and neither the HVAC, nor a crucial electrical hazard were unveiled in the inspection. Your electrician told me about the missing gfi outlets in the master bathroom, but told me he would need two people with him to check if it is attached to a ground fault circuit interrupter in the basement electric panel. The other hazard, a Jacuzzi tub in said master suite had a serious electrical hazard, a picture which was sent to the company in my email to them post inspection. I The "post inspection" report is mediocre. The electrician did not address the matter of my fridge and garage tied to one circuit and I expressed the problem that I cannot plug anything in the garage. He did not check the garage outlet. I had to tell him to please check the laundry room outlets as well. I am truly disappointed. When I emailed the company, they told me to call them. Bad customer service to say the least!! They should have called me to address my concerns, at the very least.

They did not tell me anything I didn't already know. I had most of the labeling of my fuse box done so they didn't provide anything new. Maybe I was expecting a more "professional" job. Check the fuse box and didn't really do anything new. Walked around the house which I felt was not necessary. It wasn't worth the price.

Overall responsive and courteous, stood behind their work and did not charge for the second visit.

Tech came out, checked the system & told me my 5 year old system had a leak and was out of warranty, then offered to replace the system for @ $7,000 - which I declined. Had a few companies offer quotes without examining the system, going on the word of the South Hills tech. Finally went with another company, who upon examining my system, discovered that the heat pump which also had failed was in fact still under warranty, and the coil in the blower that leaked was still under warranty at the time South Hills came out, but no longer was. (Apparently the original installer purchased them from distribution on diff dates) Luckily the replacement cost of the coil is only $200 plus labor - which I should hold South Hills responsible for - but not going to waist my time. Let this review suffice.

It went smoothly and works great. The price was reasonable and they offer 12 month free finance. They came out quickly and installed a new furnace the same day.

Very well. This was a huge and complicated job because the house (Dutch Colonial) had no ducts for central air and has very low eaves, which made a ductless air system undesirable. I was very happy with the the solution the engineer came up with and the work that make it happen. Job manager Justin was excellent about communicating progress and providing numerous walk-throughs during the job, which took about five or six days. The new boiler is my most treasured item. Now, my new (old) home will now be comfy and cozy all year long.

They came to install the item but were unable to do so, on my furnace. I didn’t enough space for them to install it

He arrived on time on a snowy morning, put booties on, and got to work. He showed me how and when to change the water filter. I have no complaints about the service or the product.

This was an absolute hold-up for less than 20 minutes work including the call to me at work. The Angie?s List deal sounded good as it included the cost of the house call and $50 credit. Who would ever dream that this essentially 10 minute job would cost $319 if you didn?t have the deal? The worker was fine and he did call me at work. He advised me of the price. I told him that there had to be a mistake, however, I knew he didn?t make the prices and I would just call S. Hills Electric to straighten this out. The problem was exactly as I described to him and there was no additional work needed except the splicing. He told me that if he had to trace the problem beyond where I told him it existed, it would even cost more ! I figured that this had to be an error, but we needed our phone service back on as it had been out for days. I called S. Hills Electric as soon as I arrived home and they promised to have someone call me the next day. The person I spoke to was exasperating saying they wanted their employees to have clean shirts, nice truck... . I?m sure I also exasperated him and he finally asked me what I wanted. I told him that I realized that he wasn?t going to refund the money, but I felt that he should give me a couple of hours of electrical work. So much for what I wanted. He finally offered a check-up on my furnace which I explained to him that I already have contracted. It is supposedly to be scheduled next January. I didn?t feel this was a real remedy as I can find that for $60 and already have someone I use for that, however, I accepted it figuring that in some way represented some reparation, however meager. In summary, the worker and work was fine. The price was a huge ripoff. This serves as a cautionary tale - before accepting a deal from Angie?s List or anyone else, call the provider and see what they would charge if you have a defined task. I would have never dreamed that anyone would have tried to exact a pound of flesh such as happened with South Hills Electric.

They came out and did the job -they did it professionally. Two people came out-one tech and one assistant technician. It was a very good experience.

They were very natural and they did exactly what I asked for .They even gave me a quote after wards for work which seemed alot more than what I had purchased. It was a problem but minor .He was very knowledgeable and they were responsive.

Polite, young man arrived on time. He started with the labeling. He did a very thorough job making sure he listed everything that worked off a particular circuit. He then did the thermal imaging. There had been no prior electrical issues that I was aware of but it gave me peace of mind to know that there were no actual problems. This service was part of a special that the company was offering. It was a great deal. I would definitely recommend them.

They inspected the furnace since we are new to the house. They found that the dual stage furnace was functioning as a single stage because the previous owners had the two zones jumped together. They provided me with a quote for the work but they did not pressure in any manner. I have a friend help me with a the rewire and new thermostat to fix the issues and I am sure it has saved us much more than the money we paid for the deal.

The service went fine. They came out about a week after I purchased the deal. One technician came out and completed the work in about a half hour. He also gave an estimate for a new furnace. He was knowledgeable, courteous and happy to answer my questions. He did a good job.

It worked out fine. They did what they said they were going to do. They were very professional and nice to work with. I would recommend them. I've always had a very positive experience. They were good guys and I'd have them back if I ever needed anything done. They were a little pricey but I think it's the going rate for electricians. The quality of the work was fine.

It was good and they did what they said they would do. They mentioned that our humidifier is broken and we have a warranty service that came out said that it was just a valve. The inspection was good, professional, and did diagnose a real problem. I think the price was inflated. They were thorough.
