Very well. Justin came out and told us what we needed for our 19 year old a/c.. We thought it was fair. Chris came out 3 days later, and did the work. Both told us what they were doing as they went along. They also gave us tips as to how we can keep our a/c running smoothly.

The technician provided a detailed explanation of what they would do, walked me through the results and provided advise on an issue that he uncovered. He worked with me and his office to ensure a fair price for the necessary repair.

It went horribly. Two men on job that were inadequately trained. One young man was in school to become an electrician less than one week. He was working on fuse box causing wires to spark and smoke a few times. Outside man training to be a journeyman. I directed to have him come into the area of the sparks. I called owner and asked why neither were registered or journeymen. He stated he was registered and that is what counts. I told him to look over work and he came the next day. Result $150 off of bill and switching 2 prong outlet to grounded 3 prong. Since 2 weeks lapsed, I called to say where is the inspector. The inspector came out 3-4 weeks after work and on sticker was a Pittsburgh inspector. In Mt. Lebanon, this was not a legal inspection due to the township ordinance of using there approved middle inspector. I had a new electricIan come to inspect the work done. My breakers were also constantly disconnecting the power..causing circuit switch to occur when I had two or more appliances turned on such as microwave and toaster oven. 1. Ampage was omly 100...should have increases to 150 to 200 due to heavy drawing appliances near breaker box. 2. No labels or names of rooms listed inside breaker door. 3. Old wires, frayed wires, and dusty wires, behind panel. One wire going into a small box outside of breaker should have been taped off. Appearance very disorganized and old. 4. On outside of home, cable and securing clamps were poorly done. 5. Outlet near breaker set off fireworks when I turned off the dryer. I took photos but I can't upload them to the review per Angie employee that I talked to today. They clearly show the outdated wiring never uodated.

On August 12th I contacted South Hills Electric to determine if they would be able to repair my AC unit which stopped working the night before. I was directed to an after hours call service which stated that they would leave a message for them to contact me to set-up an appointment. I did not receive a call back and contacted another provider after 2 hours and they were able to send someone out to repair the unit on that same day.

Perfectly - the electrician was on time, entered wearing shoe covers. Determined what type of installation was required. He assembled the fan and installed it. Finally he showed us how to operate it. During this time he was courteous and informative and he left no mess. I would use them again

The "deal" that was offered seemed very fair, but I read all of the fine print and decided to call them first to find out what the additional fee would be to change from ceiling light boxes to ceiling fan boxes (the deal is only from an old fan to a new fan apparently). I was told that in addition to the $99 deal, there is a charge of $170 EACH for changing the box - so not including the cost of the fans - this would be $439 to install two fans. We were able to get this work done for $250.

Complete failure. The technician took three hours tearing apart every switch and fixture in my kitchen and left a mess. He was unable to fix the problem. I finally terminated the session and told him to restore what was apart. He failed to reassemble one major fixture and left a mess. The charges were excessive. I called another electrician to service the problem and he fixed it in 15 minutes. One of the breaker switches was stuck. This company previously installed my service panel and did a good job. This time the service was completely unsatisfactory.

It eas a long process. Part had to be ordered.

Electrician was prompt and professional. He called the home prior to arrival, and the main office called the day before service to keep the appointment. The electrician repaired the ceiling fan with ease and gave additional suggestions related to electrical repair. The electrician also looked at the electrical panel for rust and corrosion free of charge.

He did okay, but I think he was a little high on his price for some of the service he did. The $39 was right, but then he had to do something else which I think was a little higher than what I could have it done by somebody else. That was no problem. The quality was fine.

Can't go wrong with this company. Everyone with whom I had contact was professional, from Donna who answered the phone to the technician who actually did the work. I'm sure South Hills Electric LLC has many qualified electricians and other kinds of technicians. However, If you're having electrical work or HVAC done, you'll definitely want to request one Anthony Cancilla. Outstanding professionalism, and he did a lot of little things to REFLECT that professionalism, from covering his shoes, to confirming the appointment to showing respect. However, his most positive traits were his honesty, straightforwardness, respect, and know-how. I'm of the opinion that most contractors' sole intent is simply to MAKE A LIVING. That said, there are those whose sole intent is to MAKE MONEY. Not so with South Hills Electric LLC. Like any other company, they too are in business to make money. However, their rates are reasonable and competitive. I just sensed, erroneously or otherwise, that one of their main goals was customer satisfaction. As for quality, you'll probably be hard pressed to find a company whose criteria of customer satisfaction, craftsmanship, and reasonable costs are better than South Hills Electric LLC. Had no intention whatsoever of having additional work done; that is, until I saw that Anthony did everything he said he was going to do, in the manner in which he described it. Before parting company, he gave me an estimate - again - reasonable and competitive - for further work. Will most definitely be using them again.

I decided not to proceed with the work at this time.
