Sears Garage Doors

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was great. They fixed some things that needed to be fixed, and it is running beautifully now. He oiled it, and did the things that he said he would do. I didn't need new rollers, and so he gave me a new weather shield at the bottom of my garage door instead, and that was great. I already had a keypad, and gave it a tune up that it needed.

I bought the big deal offer $99 for new garage door keypad or roller tune-up. Sears Garage door service came to give an estimate and said that I needed to replace entire door opener, they could not replace the keypad alone due to it being an old one. I agreed to buy new opener, they came back to install, then after they had taken down my existing door opener, they found they could not make it fit and told me that I need to buy an entire new garage door. I declined, and they did replace my original opener. The principal problem was that they never took measurements of the available clearance, even though they knew that the clearance was the main issue. They are supposed to be experienced installers, this was amateurish.

The tech came out and tuned up the garage door opener after changing all the rollers to nylon. Job went well. Doors work better and some quieter.

On time, very efficient, got the job done right and in a timely manner.

Jason did a great job. He called 20 minutes before he arrived and at the scheduled time. He explained what he was going to do, performed the maintenance, and gave me some suggestions how to keep the door running with no problems.

Great job. After checking to make sure the interior of the garage door was working, Jason installed the rollers. Our remotes opened the garage door but did not allow us to close it. Not only did Jason fix it in record time, he was able to explain to me what was wrong in layman's terms. Our exterior garage door opener was not working either. He was able to fix and answer all my questions in easy to understand terms. Jason takes pride in his work, his company, Sears, and being on Angie's List. He was quick, professional, positive, educational, and customer oriented. We even received coupons for future projects. Would highly recommend and use them in the future. It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I felt comfortable with them doing the work because they had installed it.

They replaced all 10 Rollers on the garage door. They told me that the (sic) shives were making noise. They replaced them (4)for 80.00 additional. They were very prompt when they called for the appointment, they showed up on time, they didn't make a mess. He told me that the cable had kinks in it and that was causing the door not to close all the way on the left side. He said that I will need to replace the cable. I did not do tis at this time.

They didn't a great job except they were running and hour or more late and didn't call.

That was very good. They were very quick, they got out here very quickly and I think they did a good job. They relayed honestly what could be done and what couldn't be done. I trusted them, which was good. I've always had a garage door opener that was quiet because it was Genie brand but it stopped being quiet and I would have had to buy a whole new one to make it get quiet but they fixed it and it worked out fine.

Door now opens more smoothly and with less noise.

Jason and Zach were great! Arrived on time and completed work in a very short time. Rollers were replaced and unit serviced. Jason got our automatic garage door fully functioning. We had not been able to use it for about a year. I wouldn't hesitate to use again and would highly recommend them.

They were great, very quick, prompt, and the amount they charged was very reasonable. They are very professional and very quick. They only took about 15 minutes to repair the garage door, and that was great.

My garage door is old and the rollers would not work on it. However, my main interest was in maintenance and eliminating the 'wailing' sound the door made on raising or lowering, which other servicemen hadn't been able to eliminate. Jason thoroughly oiled all hinges and moving parts, and the sound is gone for the first time in years. He also showed me where to oil it in the future. Very professional and knowledgeable.

Sears workers called before they arrived and were there when they said they would be there. They actually did a little extra work for no charge (my garage trolley was jammed up and they freed it) so I was really happy with that. The wireless outdoor key pad works great, installed quickly and is a very nice feature to have on the house - no need for keys and the kids can use it as needed. Really pleased with the promptness and professionalism of the installers. This was my first "Angie's Deal" thing and I think that contractors know you will be leaving them an Angie's List review so they may take that into consideration when doing the work.

I think my appointment may not have been written down. I was first appointment between 8-9 AM, but by 9:10 no one arrived so I called. They eventually arrived at 10:30 and finished within 20 minutes! They were super nice and helpful which outweighed the tardiness factor for me.

They were on time for the appointment and did exactly what they said they would do. The cost was also exactly as they said.

He was very informative. He answered all my questions. He was very patient with any inquiries I have concerning the garage door. He noticed things that I didn’t notice myself with the garage door. He was pretty good. He was pretty thorough. He was pretty straight forward. He was very professional.

It was a little rocky at first due to some miscommunication, but they fixed the problem.

They were good. The guys who came were really accommodating and did a good job. I am very happy with the opener.
