Description of Work: I purchased this Angies List Big Deal for my 81 year old mother. The Sears technician was courteous and punctual. The Sears technician completed the installation of the numeric keypad for the garage door but did not explain in sufficient detail how to enter the code to open the door. I had explained to the Sears customer service rep that my mother didn't hear very well and that the technician would need to be aware of that. The technician also did not leave any manufacturer's product information or any other information regarding how to change the code. At this point, the only way that the garage door can be opened is with the remote garage door opener. Also, the garage door does not fully close as it leaves a gap of about 1 - 1.5 inches between the garage door and the threshold. Today (20 April 2014), the garage door seems to be getting caught on something (appears to be one of the wire cables) and will not close all the way. I will be contacting Sears on Monday, 21 April, to send out another technician to address these open issues.

We value customers feedback and welcome opportunities to resolve issues and learn. job was done in January. We were unable to install the rollers in his door due to the condition and age. We agreed to repair his old opener in its place. The repair only lasted for a few days. We were unaware of any of these issues until the review was posted. Upon talking with her, he purchased a new opener and we offered to come out and install it for him at a significantly discounted price. also had the option to get a refund from Angies list since we were unable to install the rollers under the original deal. We are waiting to here from him if he is willing to have us install his new opener. When we do have issues in the future, it would really be beneficial if we know when the issue occurs in a timely fashion so we can address it right away.

Description of Work: Signed up for garage door roller replacement or door opener tune.up. Within 60 seconds workmman said the rollers were no longer made and they could not service the opener. Solution was to buy a new door and opener. Waste of time.
