 + -1 moreI was not home at the time of the services, my older son was home. I was disappointed because the rugs did not look as though they had been cleaned. In addition, I understand that they will not move large pieces of furniture and that is fine. However, they did not move the sofa's. I have had my rugs cleaned on numerous occasions with varies rug cleaning companies and they always moved the sofa to clean under them. I did call the company and voiced my concern. They did follow up by re-sending someone out to clean under the sofas.
Description of Work: This was a special on Angie's list. Clean 5 rooms. They cleaned my living room, family room, dining room, gameroom and stairs.

 + -1 moreWe are happy with this service. Used a coupon to get a decent price on cleaning our 6+ year-old white microfiber couch and loveseat. Technician called when they said he would and came over promptly. He worked quickly and cleanly. I really had no idea what to expect as far as results. There were some areas of the couch that didn't get 100% clean (they still look a bit dingy) but for the price I'm very happy.

 + -1 moreI'm used to having my carpet sprayed to remove stains, and a steam cleaner being used to clean the carpet and hopefully get the stain out of the carpet. I've only had one time that the stain wasn't removed. I spent an hour scrubbing the stain with Resolve to remove it. The above carpet was at another location before I moved to my present home, and another company. The receipt that I got details what they can and can't do. Anyone that has had carpets cleaned before should know most of what they list, but if you have a question, I'd ask it before they send someone out to clean your carpet. The receipt had a coupon for 25% off all in home steam cleaning services. It can be used within 1 year of the date on the work order.
Description of Work: Three (3) rooms of carpet cleaning for only $69.90. This service normally priced at $74.85. Two step process steam extraction. Most furniture moved. Arrival time between 12:00 and 2:00 pm. He arrived in a van and carried a grocery store type carpet cleaner inside my house, then brought in 2 -- 5 gallon buckets. He needed to fill both of them up with hot water. The buckets wouldn't fit in my sink, and I only have a shower stall without a faucet, so he used my hand-held shower to fill the buckets. I moved the furniture before he arrived, except for the couch in the living room, the bed and dressers in the bed room, and the desks and bookcases in my office. He cleaned around them. There were no stains in the bedroom, but it needed to be cleaned. The office didn't have any stains that I knew of, but after he left, I found a red stain (2"x2") next to my desk. He did the living room last. There were some stains there. They were still there after the carpet dried. I asked him how long it would be till the carpet dried and he said 24 hours. It was more like 36 hours. He was unaware that I paid Angie's list. He wanted $79.79 ($69.90 + $4.89 tax + $5.00 fuel charge). I told him I paid Angie's List by credit card. He wrote that on the bill. He said he usually gets the money after he finishes cleaning. He worked h****** the two upstairs rooms and did the same in the living room. It probably didn't help that it was very hot and humid that day.

 + -1 moreJosh arrived on time and asked to be shown the areas to be cleaned. I asked that an additional hallway be added to my original cleaning request and he said no problem. We went over everything and he immediately got to work pre-treating the carpets. Total time spent was about two hours. Carpets look great!

 + -1 moreArrived on time, and finished in about an hour. Furniture was much cleaner. Said it would take 1-2 hours to dry thoroughly, but actually need to let furniture sit overnight for everythning to dry completely. Person was very nice, very friendly, and did a good job.

 + -1 moreThe company was easy to work with to schedule the cleaning and the person showed up on time. I was surprised, however, to see that they did not have trunk-mounted equipment. I also got "upsold" a lot more than I wanted. Suddenly it was $2/per cushion to have the back cushions cleaned on the couch and loveseat (seriously, it's a couch cleaning. Clean the couch.) And then I was told that I needed to pay $25/per room for the carpet scrubber. Apparently the deal only covers their "2 step process" which involves spraying some chemical that smelled for DAYS on my carpet and then using the hand held vacuum to suction it back out. The carpets did look better, but not great, and the chemical smell and the surprise upcharges really turned me off. In the past I've used a national chain with truck mounted equipment and I will probably do so again in the future, even if they are more expensive.

Dave explained the procedures beforehand, went right to work, and completed the job in good time. He was very professional and I would ask for him the next time I have my carpets cleaned. I have recommended Roth to my friends!!

 + 1 moreMy overall experience was very positive and would definitely call them back again. My only problem was that everything stayed damp for a few days. It could've been the humidity in the air that delayed the drying process so I don't want this come off as a negative comment.
Description of Work: They did an excellent job at giving new life to my light colored upholstery that even my friends commented how fresh it looked. The technician paid close attention to stains on rugs and successfully removed them. Everything smelled so clean from the minute I walked into the rooms where the services were performed.

Description of Work: The technician thoroughly cleaned two chairs and a loveseat, leaving them looking very good. He had to work in our garage where the furniture was sitting then and he took extra care to keep the furniture clean in that less than perfect setting. He was on time and courteous.

 + -1 moreHe arrived late due to car trouble. Had invoice with him and I was aware that they were going to bill extra for steps. I thought they would of moved more furniture because I made it easy for him by getting everything up off the floors, looked like he just did areas with no furniture. We did go over before what he would do, did not want any heavy furniture moved but he didn't move anything. I guess you get what you pay for since it was a angie list promotion. I don't know how much the invoice is yet as he didn't know that I got a discount or that I had a coupon, I thought he should of been aware of this. Overall rugs clean on area he did.

 + -1 moreOur furniture was in need of a professional cleaning, so I went to Angie's List to find a special. Roth Carpet Cleaning had excellent reviews, so I wasn't worried. They were able to schedule a cleaning with a very short turnaround, which I appreciated. They informed me over the phone there would be a $5 travel fee and tax. No problem. As promised, they called promptly on Monday morning and arrived within an hour of the call. When I showed the employee (who was pleasant and professional) which pieces were to be cleaned, he then told me there was a $5 upcharge for a recliner and a $12 upcharge for loose cushions on the sofa. I was disappointed that this was not explained up front, nor was it on the coupon. I feel as if they should have honored the deal instead of charging us the additional fee. I called the company before the cleaner started performing the service and they said they would address it with the person who scheduled the appointment. In the future, I would recommend that this be very clear to the customer.
Description of Work: Professional cleaning of sofa and two chairs. We decided to add a fabric protection on the recliner.

Upon calling to make the appointment, everything was explained in detail, including the best way for me to use the coupons offered on Angie's List (AL). We were able to have the scheduled appointment moved up a day (happy for that) and the tech (Dave) arrived within the window of time given. While I made the calls/appt, I couldn't be there while the work was being done, but my husband was (who was somewhat skeptical about randomly picking a service from AL). Dave, the tech arrived and immediately did a survey of the project, told us what he was going to do (the house was completely empty of furniture so this was a thorough cleaning job) and went to work. In less than two hours time, the once pet-soiled/stained carpets literally looked new again and smelled so fresh. While I felt the carpeting seemed damp/wet, my spouse assured me it would dry just fine within 24 hours. When you estimate what it would take to do a job like this on your own (buying or renting equipment and the products needed to do the work) plus the $/time, this is a very good deal with a job well done. Fortunately, the technician ("Don," I believe) was going to be in the area when we needed him. The price was fair. He did a great job. In fact, our downstairs tenant (my father) is calling to schedule his own apartment now.

It looked liked something I could have done myself. I don't know if it was the equipment they used but I wasn't really impressed.

 + -1 moreCleaned 3rd floor bedroom, 2 sets of stairs, 2nd floor bedroom and hallway. Kevin was the technician and I couldn't have asked for a more personable, efficient and competent workman. The carpets were severely spotted/splotched with the spills of my teenager's food/drink being carried up the stairs and consumed in bedrooms. Now that they've flown the nest, it seems to be a safe time to clean the carpets. I would have been happy if half of the mess came out and the other half just lightened up. In fact, Kevin was able to remove all of the stains, to my surprise and delight. In the past I have used a private individual to clean the carpets, but he's no longer in the business. I was suspicious of hiring a company, since so many talk a big game but don't deliver. Because of the Angie's List reviews, I took a shot with Roth and am so pleased that I have added them to my list of "contractors" to use again and to recommend.

Description of Work: Had a coupon for angie list members to clean upholstry that I thought was a good deal.When person came to clean my couches, he had to fill his bucket with water that was going to be used on my couch. I took the bucket to fill up the water and the bucket was filthy. I cleaned it out because Idid not want that dirt going on to my couch. I could not believe that it was not cleaned after the last job. The couches were veryvery soaked when he left. Did not expect a day and a half to not use my couches because it took so long to dry.
