Their initial installation went well, but at some point we started seeing seepage in the walls. It seems that the installation had worked itself loose over time. I don't think it was do to any poor practices from their initial work--things just go bad over time. They fixed it and we negotiated a fair-seeming price. We had to speak up and request this, though.

I called several companies for estimates. Mike Restano was the only one who was confident that he could get the job done without changing any of the home's historic features. We decide that the best system would be a "Spacepak" that uses 2" diameter duct work. A day and time was set to start the job. Mike and his crew came on time the first day to walk through the project details one more time with me. The job took 5 days. Bruce, who did the installation, showed up every day on time. He was very professional and did amazing work. Only one access hole and one hole in the top floor(to get down to the floor below)was needed to install the duct work. The holes were patched and boxed in when the work was complete.

Called at 6:30 AM, a person answered! Information taken. Call back at 7:30 from company with promise of help within one to one and a half hours. Technician arrived at 9 AM and furnace fixed by 10 AM.

We called with a problem of a leaking shutoff valve to a radiator heater in our bedroom. We described the problem and Glenn suggested we tighten the packing nut on the shutoff valve. Glenn said it was a common problem in this situation. We tightened the packing nut and it stopped the leak!. It saved us well over $100 for an emergency service call during a snow storm!

Salesperson was not pushy and very patient and happy to answer any and all questions. Installers were courteous and professional, and worked quickly. They also spent some time going over the new equipment. The one thing I was a little disappointed in was how they ran the electric for the new A/C. I wasn't home the day they did it, so I didn't notice it until a few weeks after the job. But not a big deal.

They were very good. I needed them and they came right away. It took a couple of days to get the part because they didn't have it, but they really responded very quickly. They did good quality work.

Bought new dryer at a home improvement store. Paid $145 installation fee to have dryer delivered and installed by "plumber". Waited 2 days for delivery and was told connection illegal, needed plumber to come. Looked on Angie's List and called Restano (after 4:00 PM). Called the next morning and made an appointment for the next day. Came and installed dryer, replaced pipe and connection. Charged $200 for good amount of work. Did get refund from the home improvement store.

They came and reassured me that I did not have a problem. He was very honest with us and did a very thorough overlook of the furnace. They were very fast in responding to my call to set up an appointment and they were there within a day. I would highly recommend them to others.

We were very pleased with the process-from getting estimates, having our (many) questions answered, and the installation and clean up. Restano carries both Carrier and Trane and was knowledgeable about both. They also caught a couple of issues that we needed to consider before deciding how to proceed with the work. They presented us with options in dealing with the particular issues presented by our furnace and elderly but functional a/c.

Several times I have had the same serviceman. They seem to have real qualified technicians. They are very professional and I would highly recommend them. They show me all the problems and explain everything they do.

They came on 10/01/08. They were on time, got to work and did a great job. I intend to use them every year, or have them back if I have any issues.

I was going to hire a plumber for my mother. It took them a week and a half for an appointment, but I needed it sooner. We have gas and water problems at this house. I called this morning to see how much work he can do today. They gave us a window between 12-4. He ended up calling and there was no message left for me, so I was not sure if he come or not. I called the company to see what was going on and asked to speak to the owner. They laughed at us when we wanted to speak to the owner. I was never able to speak to the owner of the company. I was told the owner of the company did not want to speak to me. I did use this company in the past and I would have given this company a good report. I will not be using this company in the future.

I chose this vendor because of their reputation on Angie's List and was not disappointed. From the time we first contacted Restano to signing off after the installation, every single member of Restano's staff we dealt with was professional, helpful and courteous. It was a two-day install and the techs were meticulous in their work and the cleanup afterward. The sheet-metal work and piping were extremely neat. I would recommend this company to my family and friends without hesitation. These days, such a good experience is very hard to come by and we were very pleased.

They call you very quickly. They were very quick and did good work. They were pretty clean, but they didn't bring their own vacuum. They had very reasonable prices.

Prompt and professional quote. Lowest of 3. The furnace and A/C were installed in five days after the quote with no issues. 10 hour installation time.

His works were very polite, cleaned up after they were done, and he even came to see why I was not getting air in one part of my house. It was a special air conditioner.

The system works fine. We were really happy with the sales person and the service manager. There were a few problems with the service guy that came to the house; it was just the one guy that we had problems with. The problem was all resolved to our satisfaction.

We needed to have a new gas line in order to install a new gas range. We had had previous estimates that would have required running from furnace area, requiring holes being put into basement ceiling. They were able to run directly from outside, and only needed to put a 4" hole in a closet ceiling which is easily patched.

We had several estimates from contractors. While their estimate was not the lowest (including rebates), we were impressed with their professionalism and thoroughness. They gave us a couple of options (Carrier) and discussed how their recommendations would work best given our house floor plan and house location. They also gave us a few tips on how to be more efficient when they did the estimate. We met with the owner (Dave Restano) at the Pittsburgh home/garden show and felt very good about his standing behind his products and services. The work was well done, completed in the 2 days they projected. When they found they couldn't use the existing humidifier as had been planned, they replaced it with a new one at no additional charge. There was also a problem with the thermostat, which they took care of the next day. We have had the unit now for 2 months, for heating and cooling. The recommended system is extremely quiet, temperature seems to be more even, and, as expected, our gas use is down from previous year. Thermostat prob and humidifier.
