Restano put in a new HVAC system for us in 2017 but we found in extremely hot weather the AC was not cooling adequately. They came out and checked what was wrong and immediately found that there were several adjustments that needed to be made. They did a top flight job in getting it to work perfectly. No charge. We even got a call from the president to make sure everything was okay. This is a class operation.

They come in, they do the job and they're wonderful.

Called for furnace service Friday and went the entire weekend without heat so I could get the better service rate. When they came on Tuesday they replaced a single part R8184 G 4009, which retails for about $100. Easy access, quick replacement. Half hour of work including the troubleshooting. The valves happened to be closed and the gf who was at home didn't know, so he did have to come back (called him back within 10 mins). Total time from first arrival to second departure, 57 mins. Their business model is to knock off the $69 diagnostic fee if repairs are done. The tech said his computer was down so I'd have to call office for invoice. It had a single line with a generic description "Replaced oil burner primary control". They were unable to sufficiently explain to me how they got to their final fee of $507 other than "we charge a flat rate". I'll let you decide whether this was a fair price.

The installation itself went well, but post-installation it seemed that our house was not cooling down (or was, but was very slow to cool down, and seemed to only stay cool relative to the outside temperature). I called Restano to come take a look to see if something was wrong with the installation itself, and they sent Perry out who verified that the installation itself looked great, but that the system seemed to be starved for air. Perry then spent a lot of time to troubleshoot our cooling issue - checking all of the cold air returns and finally realizing that we had an open air duct in the basement that the previous owners had either opened up or it had always been a problem, so he came back and covered these up with sheet metal to improve the overall static pressure in the house and improved the overall efficiency of the new A/C unit. He also noticed some other issues that had possibly been neglected in our house such as the lack of a flue liner in the chimney and that we probably need to have our ducts cleaned, so we were very appreciative that Perry took the time to really get to the bottom of our heating and cooling issues in our house!

I had a company put a humidifier in. Found my furnace leaking. It was that they were open on a Sunday.I call for emergency and they were here within a couple of hours. I thought it was the furnace but it was the filter. It was put in wrong by the previous company. I will used them again. They are top notch.

They are a wonderful company. They are the only company who touches my furnace and AC.

Pricing was very good compared to estimates from 2 other vendors. Scheduling & Installation went very well. They were very professional and I felt comfortable having them in my home. Bruce from the Install Dept is great to work with. But the Service Dept for servicing the units is difficult to deal with. They have not shown up for a service call and scheduling gives a 3 hr arrival window. I’m used to a better response time from my old Lenox service company.

Locating the clog/issue was problematic. Another plumber had located tree roots 4 years prior, cut them out and cleared the drain. There were myriad problems finding the exact location of this issue. Once finally located, the repair was made, but I was also told there were more roots further down the pipe. I was told I could treat them with a product called root-X. Frank showed me video of the pipe both ways from the house to the repair, and from the repair to the main. It was obvious the pipe had shifted, and I saw the roots. He told me it would never pass our municipalities tests for root infiltration. I asked him for the name of a company that might be able to line the pipe, which he gave. This was good, because just days later the pipe was beginning to clog again. Frank was great, understandably discouraged by our job at first, but he hung in and got the job done.

Replaced drain pipe and installed new bath vanity sink and faucet.

Great. Did it when they said and what they said. System works very well. Easy to work with.

The repairman was punctual and professional. He found the leak but did not carry the hose in his truck and had to go to a local Home Depot to purchase a new hose. It was installed and tested. No leak.

They were very responsive and fitted me in on a very busy day for them. They actually came early after calling me, made an initial assessment confirming a leak and made an initial adjustment which did not correct the issue. Finally the leak was found in the gas line leading to the stove. The repairman did not have a $188 line in his truck (which I thought was surprising) so he left to purchase one at Home Depot. After installing the new line the leak was repaired. He was professional at all times

Very good--gas co. had to turn off our gas on the coldest day of the year because of a leak they couldn't locate. Restano sent someone out within a couple of hours on a day when other plumbers were booked solid. He doggedly found the source of the problem at the furnace, made the repairs, and everything has been fine since. When he accidentally calculated the wrong total on the invoice, he was apologetic and immediate fixed it--an honest error after 4+ hours working in freezing cold.

We had a 2nd floor laundry tub that wasn't draining water any longer. The technician replaced a rusted trap, but was not able to diagnose where the blockage was. Thought is could be in the pipe anywhere down to the basement. Some of the drain pipes in the basement were quite old and showed a lot of corrosion. The technician warned that a snake may puncture the old pipe and then we would have a much bigger mess on our hands. He said we may have to rip out the wall in our first floor dining room to find the blockage. That scared me and we were going out of town in a couple of days and I was afraid to tackle this problem at that time. We postponed any further efforts to a later date. The rusty trap did need to be replaced so at least that got done.

Work was done in a matter of hours - including finding the new part. Nice guy who kept me informed at every stage - and apologized profusely, after checking with the manufacturer, that the warranty for my furnace had expired so I needed to pay for the replacement.

It went very well. Dan even showed me how to bleed my baseboards.

Great!!! John was prompt and courteous, and did the job quickly for a fair price. Highly recommended. Will certainly use them again.

I've been using them for 10 years, probably 5 or 6 years since we've lived here. They service us every 6 months.
