They were terrible. They were talking about ripping down my edges and ripping out my wall and everything. They charged me like 400 bucks and they did not fix a thing. Restano was telling me that I had a crushed pipe. It was horrible. Whenever they snaked down my system they left crap all over my bathroom. I had to have it repainted. I almost called for a refund but I just figured it is a lesson learnt. It was a total of $400. They came twice. The one time was 120 for their mistake of crap all over my wall and the second dude came out and did a scope and they were scheduling me to rip down my edges and my retaining wall and that is whenever I got a second opinion I was not cool with ripping my edges and my retaining wall down. They were talking about replacing my whole plumbing area. My basement where my laundry was and downstairs bathroom started to backup. The first guy did that snake and that's what ruined kind of like my walls which I had to get scrub down and paint it. The second guy came with a scope and by then I was into them for like $420 and they did not find it. The next guy Jerry of Ace Plumbing out of Plum Borough he came in he scoped it. He found the problem and he fixed it. They did not call us correctly.

I've used Restano prior to this, and bought our furnace and AC unit from them previously. Today I got the A/C tuned up and ready for the season thanks to the $79 deal here on Angie's List. They actually wanted to come earlier than expected, but I wasn't ready. They were scheduled for between 12-4. At 11:59 I got a call that the tech was on his way, and a few minutes later he was here. He was pretty quick, did his thing, let me know all was ok after he'd finished cleaning out the system outside. Wish he'd smiled a little more, but that's ok, he was nice enough. I exclusively use Restano's services each season, and have been very satisfied.

I bought the deal on Monday and I got called that same day and they came out on Tuesday morning. I was very pleased they could come so quickly. All went well. A small footing on the bottom of our condenser pump had come off, so I saw water leaking from the furnace the next day and didn't know why. I called and they came right out that day (Wed). It wasn't anything their technician had done or would have noticed. They let me know what caused it and changed the position of the pump so it wouldn't leak.

It was a big deal purchase and it was good. Whatever the price was I was okay with it. There were no problems what so ever.

I'm not sure how to rate them, my clean and check was below average but dealing with the company after that was a very good experience. They said that they would take the proper steps with the technician in letting him know what he did wrong. I bought a special on here for Restano to clean and check my furnace and to check a water leak. The tech that they sent out said that the leak was coming from the collector box and he checked and said that they are not available anymore because my furnace is old. He didn't seem to take much time with the cleaning and checking and when I asked him about this he said that there is only 3 things to check on a high efficiency furnace. Since I have a home warranty I had to call them for the water leak. They said that it was a hose that had come loose. They tightened it and it has't leaked since. I called Restano to get an estimate on a new furnace since they have such a good rating and I told the woman that I spoke to about what happened. She was not happy to hear that and took the proper steps to handle the situation. The person that came out to give me an estimate for a new furnace seemed knowledgeable and said that they would refund me for my clean and check if I purchased a new furnace with them. Overall I think that they are a good company.

Was on time,professional, checked furnace

After the brunt of the winter, the water heaters and ductless units have performed well. The Installation crew were professional, and worked extremely quickly. They finished their work in about 4 hours. The interior ductless units were installed cleanly and in the location that I specified. The crew put down dropcloths to protect my floors & furniture. The external unit required that we clear out an old bush; the crew and I worked on that together. The crew cleaned up all of the cleared brush. All external tubing & wiring was installed neatly with no problems. The holes drilled through my siding & brick were sealed cleanly. The water heaters were replaced without issue. The installer also fixed some improper overhead plumbing to the heater when installing the new unit. I had some back and forth with the front office over the model of ductless unit to use. Ultimately, they did get me the information that I asked for, but I did have to do some prodding. All in all, it was a minor annoyance. Pricing was in-line with other bids. I did have a few bids come in lower, but I felt more comfortable working with Restano based off of my conversations with their sales team.

I woke up this morning to cold toes, and the sight of my breath. It was -8 degrees outside, and about 20 in my bedroom. After fumbling with the thermostat for a bit and checking the breakers, I realized that the furnace was broken on the coldest day ever. Of course. I hopped onto Angie's List and landed on a deal from Restano. I called them (it was 5:56am), and their answering service told me that she'd have someone call me back. At 6:03, Brad called. He gave me some basic info about the company and pricing, and told me that although he just got out of bed he'd turn in the call as soon as he got in at 7:30. I then purchased the furnace diagnostic deal, turned on every space heater I could find and snuggled under a blanket. At 7:39 I got a call from a pleasant and efficient woman who told me that they'd have someone out between 8 and 12, and that they'd call me as soon as they were on their way. at 7:57am, I got another call letting me know that Dan was on his way and would be there shortly. At around 8:30, Dan showed up. He was friendly, courteous, efficient and he did not judge me for my messy basement! :) Within what seemed like 15 minutes, he'd figured out that the problem was a lack of power. and very shortly after that he figured out the most likely place where power was being lost. He opened up a redundant redundant power switch on the furnace, and, ta-da! he showed me melted plastic, charred electrical tape and old, corroded wires. Less than 20 minutes later, I heard the sound of magic in my ears - the familiar "tick, whoosh!" of the furnace kicking on. He was cleaned up and gone by 9:15. He collected an additional $60 for the repair, as the $29 was just for the diagnostic (but it was normally $69). From the first call at 5:56 to the completion of the work at 9:15, the entire process took less than 3.5 hours and cost less than $90. I am so pleased with this company, and would recommend them to anyone who may have been unfortunate enough to wake up with cold toes.

Excellent service. We have a newborn and they called out an extra guy so our house would not be freezing for 8 plus hours since they were really busy today. The gentleman was here all of 15 minutes and had our problem diagnosed, fixed and instructions for correction when it gets warmer outside which was greatly appreciated. Wish the price was lower but this was an emergency call, he came out in the freezing weather on a Sunday, and I have a warm house, so I am happy.

The technician was punctual and professional. The routine cleaning was done in a reasonable amount of time. The furnace didn't have any issues. I will use this provider again in the future.

It went good. They were excellent.

He was very nice. My furnace is 20 years old and he got it up and running. He was very professional and upfront and honest. He was the one who told me that I should wait until spring when they offer Big Deals and not put a lot of money into my current.

Installation went very well. They were able to get to us very quickly (called on Thursday and they were here the following Monday). Our existing furnace was dead, and it was the middle of winter. After they completed installation, they walked me through what they did, what maintenance I need to do, and when I need to do it.

Service representative was on time, quick and thorough. I have used Restano for years and they do great work. Always come out quickly in emergency situations as well.

He said that's what they use now, but I want what I had. I had to take it out and get the right filter put in. He said the universal filter is what they're using now, but I had this big hole. I want what I'm supposed to have. I don't feel you get the efficiency if you have a lot of room left. I called, and they said that if I got the other filter, they would put in in for me. He did what he was supposed to do, but it was the wrong thing as far as I was concerned. My nephew got me the correct filter.

I pay for the yearly maintenance contract. They only charge for the filters.

The service was performed promptly. The repairman explained an upcoming issue that will require some repair and suggested I contact the manufacturer regarding the warranty. The repairman was very helpful.

We actually contacted Restano after a recommendation from another subcontractor, and I'm glad we contacted him. We ended up paying slightly more than another A rated Angie's List contractor we originally got a quote from, but we were given much better info about the unit we were purchasing, and also ended up picking a different unit that would better suit our needs (which we were never given any other options from the other company).They were very punctually, offered good suggestions for placement of unit while keeping our future remodeling plans in mind, very polite and easy to work with, will definitely use again when we finish off our basement.

I ordered the incorrect service. Restano's called me the next day, offered to schedule the correct service before I was able to order it. I then ordered the correct service, and they confirmed the scheduled work.

I called three AC companies because the air conditioning system was not putting out cold air and was not able to keep the house cool as the summer days got warmer. Restano called back promptly and said they would send out a technician later that day. So I canceled the other two companies. The technician said the outdoor condenser unit was very dirty and he cleaned the condenser coil for $98. Because of how hot the day was, he said it would take a several hours for the house to get cool. He also recommended replacing the AC system "due to unit's age and condition." I couldn't print out the Angie's List $25 coupon at that time, but he said it would be fine to send the coupon to the office to get a refund check. After several days of running the AC, the house never got cool and the air coming out the vents was no cooler than before the cleaning. So I called the tech back. He said the refrigerant level was low and that replacing the missing refrigerant would just cause the AC to overheat and die. He left without doing anything more and said I needed a new AC system. I called in another AC guy and he confirmed that the refrigerant level was low. He said it would be costly to find the leak and fill up the expensive older Freon refrigerant. He felt that it would be much better to spend a little more money to get a brand new system, which is what I decided to do. His cost was much lower than Restano's estimate for a new system. The AC works great now. Also, I finally received the $25 refund from Restano two months later. I am disappointed that Restano charged me $73 for no improvement in cooling. It seems to me that if the AC unit was in poor enough condition that it wasn't safe to replenish the refrigerant, the tech should have said that right from the start without charging me to clean coils that were ultimately going to be replaced when I got a new AC system. I don't understand why he would think that cleaning the coils would solve the cooling problem, since the root of the problem was a refrigerant leak.

It has never worked as good!
