Description of Work: This company has done repairs for me over the past 12 years. Naturally, when I needed a new lift, I called them. They guided me to their website to print out discount coupons, saved me a bundle. They arranged a next day installation! They are always prompt, polite, neat and knowledgeable in their jobs. They always do a free inspection of your mechanicals and will advise if there are problems of safety that need to be dealt with now or things you should watch for the future. I am more than happy, he installed, taught me the use of a more modern opener and took all his waste with him. I had used another company previously, more than 12 years ago, but when I called for an emergency, they weren't able to come for a week. I was desperate and called Precision. I will never look back from that decision.

Description of Work: Initially, they attempted to charge me $119 for a $25 repair part (Total price estimate of $194). I had done my reasearch and showed the tecnician that they price gouging me. He then agreed to waive the service call fee of $65 , lowering the total cost to $129. I still felt that was an unfair price. The technician called the office and they reduced the price to a total of $99. I felt that was a fair price and he did the work. So buyer beware of price gouging by this company.

Description of Work: First called Precision garage door of Nashville because my key pad was not working. We had bought the house a year earlier and previous owners said they payed thousands of dollars for the system and it had a warranty. Not true. The only thing wrong with my key pad was 2 3 volt batteries and yes I felt stupid, 2c but when I called and told them everything was working great except the keypad, no one bothered to say, " have you checked the batteries?". A good honest company that had integrity and truly cared about their customers would have done this. So he charged me 71.00 and punched some buttons on the motor. The very next day the whole garage door system would not work properly. I called and he came back out the following Monday and basically said it was working but may need springs soon. Two weeks later it malfunctioned again and now the same tech says it's gonna be $490.00 to fix it. We told him to leave and we would call someone else. Another company came out and said it did not need any of the parts the Precision tech said it did and charged us 45.00 to fix the very minor problem. So glad we called someone else for a second opinion. Very disappointed that a big company like test is ripping off so many people.

Description of Work: He replaced a faulty button, which was an additional $20.00 for the part. He also lubed all the hinges, checked the main mechanism, tightened the steel cables, and explained why the light bulbs in the mechanism kept going out. Leet was a pleasant and professional person. |

Description of Work: I had a broken spring on my garage door. They came out the next day and performed a safety check on both garage doors. It turns out that the safety cables running through the springs were not attached to anything. Thanks builders. They replaced garage door springs and safety cables the same day.

Description of Work: Replaced torsion spring, checked brackets and lubricated door hinges. First tried to talk me into getting the 500 dollar package for new cables and hardware but I pointed out there was nothing wrong with the ones I had. After that it only took 45 minutes to complete to job. Because I didn't the 500 dollar package there is no warranty on the spring.

Description of Work: I recently had a torsion spring break, trapping my car in the garage. Precision was able to have someone at my house within several hours of the initial phone call, on a Saturday night no less. The technician phoned when he was within 5 minutes of my house and overall I found him to be professional and competent. In addition to the springs, the drums and cables were found to be (admittedly) in poor condition. He said he could simply lift the door and free my car without charge but to fix the door he would not just replace the springs, deeming it unsafe to leave the remaining hardware. Not sure how kosher this is, as I likely would have opted to replace all of the hardware (cables, drums and bearings) given the option. Pricey @$700 but on a Saturday night at 8pm I was happy to have the work done and done well.

Description of Work: TWO GARAGE DOORS RCVD ALL NEW HARDWARE (SPRINGS, ROLLERS, ETC.). A LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY CAME WITH THIS SERVICE.
