Mr. Appliance of Pittsburgh

I thought that for the amount of time and effort that it took to remove the items that the charge was a bit high. The price was 105.00 plus tax. I felt that a fee of 75.00 would have been more reasonable. The serviceperson was very professional and somewhat apologetic for having to charge me that much for what turned out to be a very basic fix. I suppose I could have done the fix myself, but I did not feel confident in taking the back of off of my dryer so having someone with experience do it was helpful.

My dishwasher had stopped running right in the middle of a cycle a day or two before. After checking in with Angie's List, I chose to call Mr. Appliance. I called at 9 am on the morning of the 4th. They were able to come THAT DAY at 11 am. The gentleman who came to the house was courteous and professional. He identified that a fuse had blown in the dishwasher but looked further to figure out why that had occurred. He corrected the originating problem and ordered the part that was needed, returning today to install it. I also appreciated the phone manner of the folks I spoke with on the phone at Mr. Appliance. All in all, an A+ experience.

Dishwasher had stopped running mid-cycle. Repairman diagnosed a problem in the wiring and repaired it on the spot.

We appreciated that they were able to talk to us over the phone and give a recommendation without coming out and then charging to tell us the same thing. We thought he must be at least somewhat an honest person since he could have easily come out and charge us.

The repairman's name was Ed. He was here between 1 and 3 when they said he would be. He had a bad back, but came anyway. They sent me a thank you card for choosing them. I did appreciate their service. I would hire them again. I have no idea what to compare their price to.

I called Mr. Appliance based on their excellent rating on the list. After talking to the operator, I did as she suggested, and sure enough, my refrigerator was included in the recall. Maytag sent out their representative and replaced the relay that had failed. This fixed the refrigerator for free! I'm so impressed because the operator at Mr. Appliance didn't have to tell me about that recall. She could have just as easily sent out their repair person and charged me for the fix and I never would have been the wiser. Instead, I am totally sold on their honesty and integrity, if I ever have another appliance issue, I will call them first!

Everything was just fine. He does have a moderate accent, but I am really bad with accents. I know it is me, not him.

They fixed my clock just fine. They worked on my dishwasher, and after my dishwasher still leaked. Then when they came and checked it out they said it wasn't leaking and to this day it is still leaking. The gentlemen was a very nice young man. He was timely and courteous although it hasn't been fixed.

A very good experience. The kind of service that I really don't expect any more! When I called on a Tuesday, they scheduled the work for a Saturday morning - gave me a 2-hour window and said they would call and give me a few minutes notice - so that I wouldn't have to take time off work. Ed arrived promptly, laid a mat down by the front door, and put on booties before walking in my house. He immediately found the problem, and gave me a firm price as to the cost to replace the igniter. He was very careful not to make any mess, replaced the part immediately, and cleaned up completely before he left. (He even sent a thank you card for giving him my business!)

Overall, a very good experience. The workman arrived on time, was professional, quickly diagnosed the issue (bad compressor control), replaced the part, tested it, and put everything back, better than before.

Quick and professional service. Would definitely use them again.

Washer was not spinning properly so I called for an appointment and got one for the next morning- very prompt. I was told to expect Ed between 9-11, and received a call from the company 15 minutes before Ed arrived, at 9:45am. Ed laid a mat down at the front door and put shoe covers over his shoes so as not to track anything into the house- what a nice touch! He took the washer apart and explained what he was doing and why. He was unable to replicate the problem and we are hoping it was a fluke that won't happen again! The most likely thing wrong was a bad timer, so he called for a price on a replacement and it would be $250- he recommended not replacing it now and to hope for the best, rather than spend the money. He also re-leveled the washer and fixed a leaky drain hose while he was there, which was a nice touch.

I called and the repairman came over the next day to give an estimate, which was 60 or 70 bucks, deductible from the final bill if you used them for the repair. They gave me the estimate, ordered the part, came over a week later to install it. The same guy who'd done the estimate returned with the part and installed it in under a half hour. They were quick, professional and friendly. I'd use them again.

I called Mr. Appliance on March 6th to look at my washer, dryer, and dishwasher. He came out on time very prompt and very professional. His name was Edwin. He explained everything to me and replaced the gasket on dishwasher, checked my washer, and replaced the lint filter on the dryer, he also cleaned the dryer vents. I was amazed because I have used several SP'S and he was the first to be on time and he was pleasant to work with and cleaned up after himself. It was a wonderful experience and I would use him again in a minute. He was great at explaining everything in detail to me. And before he left he turned everything on and watched it in action to make sure it worked. He even gave me suggestions about safety as far as the dryer and washer were concerned.

Mr. Appliance was friendly and personable. The man was neat and clean cut; he went right to work promptly. I was impressed they even did a follow-up call to make sure I had no more problems.

They came out and told me it would cost a lot to repair it, and I was better off getting a new one. Within two hours of him leaving, the company called to tell me how much exactly it would cost to fix it. Not worth fixing. They don't sell new dishwashers, so I would have to go somewhere else. Very professional, honest.

I phoned Mr.Appliance on 06/06/07. They were able to send a technician out within a day or two. I met the technician at the rental property in which he inspected the washer. He diagnosed the problem within 20 minutes. Said he would order the parts and let me know as soon as they come in. He had hoped within 48 hours. It took a few extras days, most likely due to the weekend. We scheduled the date to meet for the repair and he was able to fix it.

Edwin Moore arrived and was very professional from the time he entered the door. He was very careful (by putting booties over his shoes) and bringing his own floor mat to avoid placing his tools on my floor/carpet. He explained what he was doing and was very courteous.

My experience went extremely well. I would recommend Ed to anyone in need of appliance repair. Ed is very competent and was very fair with his pricing.

The service was on time, quick and complete.

Refrigerator was leaking water and freezing items in crisper drawer. Joe came out (on time) and told us that we needed a drain heater and a new damper control. There was an initial $50 deposit required that was then deducted from the final bill. Parts were ready in less than 2 wks, a different repair man (Ed) came to install parts (1 hr to install) and did a fine job. We have not had any problems since.

Service person called so that he could come over 45 minutes prior to his 11 am to 1 pm service call. Fast, courteous service. I was very satisfied with the repair.

They came out very promptly and did a great job getting the washing machine back in working order. The service representative was very professional and courteous. He answered all of my questions regarding the work performed.

Joe was on time and seemed knowledgeable about my refrigerator. He ordered the parts needed and returned as promised to put everything in order. Other than the couple of days required to get the necessary parts for the repair, timeliness was acceptable. Note: I've never needed refrigerator repair before, so I had nothing ''pricewise'' to compare Moore & Moore with.

THE APPOINTMENT WAS MADE QUICKLY AND THE REPAIR MAN WAS ON TIME. HE QUICKLY ASSESSED THE PROBLEM - NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MACHINE, BUT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY MY OWN STUPIDITY - AND CHECKED THE MACHINE OUT TO BE SURE THERE WERE NO OTHER PROBLEMS WITH IT.
