They sent a team to install the hardwood and a separate team to install the carpeting. Both teams were courteous and professional. The hardwood flooring team completed the job within a matter of hours. The carpeting team over the course of two days. We are very pleased with the results and would recommend them to anyone. The sales representative should also be acknowledged for his patience and willingness to come out to the home on several occasions to consult and provide samples. We had heard their prices were considerably higher than others in the area, but found them to be quite competitive after having obtained bids from two other providers. They were willing to negotiate our final price, which led us to choose them for the job.

They put in our hardwood floors beautifully.They were prompt, professional and the lead supervisor was incredible.

The entire install from estimate, to material delivery dates, installation and clean-up was done extremely well. Candace worked around our schedule and timeline for completion.

We opted for Molyneaux "Shop at Home" and made an appointment online. We are able to schedule an appointment the following day. In a few hours I had an email from our "Shop at Home" representative (Candace) asking me what type of flooring we were interested in so she could bring the right type of samples. She was on time for the appointment and spent time going over flooring with us. She then measured the rooms to provide us with a "ball park" estimate until we could decide on the type of hardwood. We were not sold on any of the samples she brought but she worked hard for the next two days to come up with some wood suggestions. She even arranged for us to do a "home visit" on a recent installation so we could see how the wood would look once it was installed. The installation was arranged around another contractor removing our kitchen. The workers worked for three days and replaced/installed hardwood floors and baseboards. They moved all the furniture and left the house in better shape than they found it.

It was terrible, but I should mention that we used the Molyneaux at Robinson, not Mt. Lebanon.. I would assume that it's normal to send two installers, but the installation took two days, and they sent a different team of men each day. The installers were very unprofessional (and unfriendly), and we had to call them back to fix problems. About a week after they installed the carpet, it began to bubble terribly - as though it hadn't been stretched properly. They returned, grudgingly, and restretched the carpeting - grumbling all the time they were here. Both of the bathrooms had carpeting installed previously, and I explained that to the salesman, who said that it wouldn't be a problem, and the installers would just take up the old carpet. However, when the installers arrived, it was obviously a major issue. The grumbling and bickering that went on constantly was loud, and the installers argued all day. Now, the vinyl is lifting along the wall, and I'm going to have to call another flooring company to see if they can fix the installation. I would never call this company again.

The salesperson was great and they had what we wanted, but they were just too pricey for our budget. I would recommend them for those that can afford a higher price.

The sales representative’s professionalism really stood out and the only reason why I chose to go with Empire was because it was less expensive. I would not hesitate to use Molyneaux again because he was very professional and took the time to answer my questions. If I hadn’t got a lower estimate I certainly would have gone with him. I did appreciate the fact that the people that they bring in to do the work actually work for the company and they are not sub-contracted but where as empire had sub-contractors. He was the first one to come out for estimate process.

I helped my parents pick out new wall-to-wall carpeting while they were recovering from a serious car accident. They needed to replace the area carpeting in 3 rooms and on the stairs that was posing tripping hazards for them. Our first store-room visit was to Molyneaux near South Hills Village. The sales person was so helpful and pleasant, and gave us a good feeling that the process from selection to installation would be handled in a professional and pleasant manner. The carpeting mom and dad selected was very good quality, and as promised the installation process was excellent. I feel better knowing that mom and dad are enjoying their new carpet, that it is of excellent quality, and that the entire process was a pleasant experience for them, especially during a time of great stress for them personally.

I requested a quote for the removal & installation of new carpeting for 2 rooms in my mother's home. Everything was fine with the salesman who came to the house to show samples and write an quote. I'm sure Molyneaux's carpet quality & installation is good but their price was a bit high. We were able to received the same service for approximatley 40% less from another provider on Angie's List. No problems - just pricey.

Molyneaux arrived as scheduled and promptly submitted an estimate for the work. As their estimate was considerably higher than the others, I informed them that I wasn't interested. At that point, they quickly reduced their price from $26,000 to $19,500 which was still far higher than all the others. In addition, the two salesmen who came out to prepare the estimate were a little too pushy for me. In the end, we went with another company which did an outstanding job (and was given an excellent rating on Angie's List by us for $13,721.

Everything went really well. I think their pricing was great. They brought me extra carpet samples to show in different lights. They were very customer oriented.

They were very good. I chose them because they had their own plumbers, and everything was in one package. The people in the showroom are very accomodating, they will point out all the price ranges, and give you background on the products. They came to my home promptly, and did a great job. I would recommend them to anybody.

We were extremely happy with the product, service, installers and their customer service. We had a bad experience a couple of years ago when we just bought based on price, it was a disaster! Molyneaux delivered a wonder job at a fair price. You can't compare this experience with any of the large retailers. We loved the shop at home service and found their salespeople to be more concerned with what was best for us, not like some of the others that just try to sell you what they prefer to. Everyone was very professional, unlike one of the other shop at home companies we tried. The job turned out wonderful and we are already planning our next project with them.

Booked appointment online. Salesman tried to cancel that morning, when I told him I was only in town for the day he rearranged the schedule to accomodate me. Brought a lot of samples, was pretty easy to find what I wanted. Price was excellent, definitely cheaper than similar carpet at Lowes. Installation was good in the end but didn't really seem like the install guy new what was going on. I asked for a small amount of carpet to be left, they left way more than what I wanted. They put old carpet out for the trash, garbage men would not take it and I had to spend $300 to haul it away. Still overall was pleased with the outcome and I'd use them again.

Molyneaux was a little higher in price, but they offered to remove and haul away the old carpeting.? Others wanted to leave it at the curb for the garbagemen to haul away.? Molyneaux also offered to move all the furniture, including a large china cabinet, piano, and grandfather clock for no additional charge.? The installers were very punctual, professional, and were very accomodating to us during the installation.? They were able to install all the carpeting in one day, and did no damage to the freshly painted walls in the house.? They also cleaned up after the installation.? The salesman was very courteous, knowledgeable, and called the day of installation to ensure that the installation went well.? From start to finish, we were very pleased with our carpeting experience.

They were really nice. If something is wrong they’ll come out and fix

We decided a week before moving into a new house that the carpet really needed to be replaced. Our salesperson went above and beyond to meet with me at the last minute, bring samples of carpet that could be had right away, and set up installation quickly. They did a fantastic job measuring, we hardly had any extra carpet (which means we didn't pay for it!) Installers were here on Thursday to rip out all the old carpet and pad, and did a lot of work scraping the floor and sweeping up dust. Then they were back Friday morning to finish up. They vacuumed when they were done. The price of carpet almost gave me a heart attack. We bought the most basic stuff out there and it was still $$$. I think maybe I could have found a better deal if I had been able to shop around. But for a company to get on the job as fast as they did, it's fine. They did have some financing options available which is helpful. Overall we are very satisfied.

Candace came out the day after I contacted Molyneaux to measure and help us pick colors. She did a good job of helping us figure out what flooring to use and what would look best with paint/cabinet colors. She scheduled the install quickly and followed up on some cove that was missed during the install. The floors look really terrific! I have used Molyneaux many times over the years and they are very responsive and attentive to customer satisfaction.

Had them to the house to look at leaking tile in my bathroom. They INSISTED that I needed $5000 in new tile. It turned out that the problem was easy to fix with some updates to the pumbling,regrouting etc. Hard sell all the way.

From the time that we went to the store until the time that they cleaned up and left, we were treated like royalty. In the store, Joel explained in great detail the different types of ceramic tile for our 2 bathrooms and the different types of carpet for our bedroom, hall and stairway. He was not pushy at all. He patiently waited until we were ready to start the project. The ceramic tile went over without a hitch. They completed the first day's work in about 6 hours. The workers were professional at all times-making sure that they were not intruding too much. At all times, they asked permission to do anything in the house. They cleaned up and left. They came back the second day to finish the grouting and to put the toilets back in place. The first person that arrived was about an hour late. He said that he got lost (???). He started off on the wrong foot but did his job and finished by noon. The plumber came shortly after that and set up the toilets. The plumber was very nice. Before he left, he made sure that everything was working properly. He asked if there was anything else that I needed and then he left. We had the carpet installed the following week. The workers arrived at the house promptly at 8:30. They moved the furniture, installed the carpet and left in about 6 hours. After the tile was completely installed, we noticed that the bathroom doors would not close with a rug in place. While the workers were here the second week, they shaved the bottom of the door so that it would close.

The salesgal dropped the ball by not doing the testing. The installer refused to install the flooring. We needed to get executive managment involved to give us a refund of our money including the stocking fee. They assumed we would pay $5000 for remediation work. After talking with several other flooring experts, we found out a sealer could be placed over the old flooring as it could not easily be removed. We ended up going with someone else to install a similar flooring. Taking the huge chunk of flooring exposed my family to asbestos particles, was unnecessary and a terrible way to upsell remediation services. I will be needing carpeting in the next few years. Based on this horrible experience, these are the last people I'll use.

I worked with Dave Roskey from the McKnight store and he was excellent! He came to my house with samples and explained all of my options as far as the installation, padding, and carpet type. The installation folks were there on time and did a wonderful job. My carpet is over 2 years old and looks brand new. I have seen the installation other people have received from Home Depot and it looks terrible compared to mine. It may be cheaper at a big box store, but you get what you pay for when you use them.

I had sheet vinyl flooring installed in my kitchen and bath. We had carpet in the kitchen that was fully glued and had to be removed, and we needed someone who would do a good job. I went with Molyneux based on their advertisements and Angie's list reports. I knew they would cost more but thought I was paying for quality. The floor was level but the salesman insisted on laying 1/4 inch plywood subfloor underneath anyway and said it was standard procedure. Since I just wanted to be rid of the carpet and make sure the toilet was lifted and removed properly I went with Molyneux. When they came to install it, they put floor leveler down, plywood, then the sheet vinyl on top. The flooring looks great, but their installation will cost me many more headaches than I ever imagined. This work involved disconnecting my icemaker and lifting the toilet, requiring a plumber. The shutoff to the icemaker was corroded and would not shut off, so their plumber replaced the shutoff. However, when they reconnected the icemaker, they did not flush the line, so for the past 2 days we have had metal shavings in our ice. The plumber did not flush the line. They acted like they were doing me a huge favor installing a $10 shutoff valve, however, I am going to have more work involved in moving the fridge to disconnect and flush the line and replace the filter in the icemaker line. Hopefully the icemaker in my new fridge is not ruined. Since they insisted on adding the plywood subfloor, the bathroom door barely closes and I cannot use a rug in my bathroom anymore since the door will not open/close with a rug on the floor. When my husband asked them about it, they said they don't do doors. So now he is going to have to take the door off the hinges to sand the bottom just so we can put a rug on the floor. Who doesn't use a rug in the bathroom? The worst issue, however, is their "cleanup". I was sitting with our new baby, in the family room, while they basically had the run of my house. I had taped off the doorway with plastic, so any dust from picking up the old carpet would not get onto any of the baby's things. However, I did not realize (since I was not following them all over my house) until it was too late, that they were sweeping all their debris into my floor air ducts. That's right, as they scraped the floor embossing leveler they poured on the old flooring, they were then laying the plywood subfloor over, they brushed it into my air ducts. There are warning labels on those products that they should not be inhaled and they are scraping off the uneven pieces and sweeping it into the air registers. I could not shut off the furnace as it was 31 degrees outside. I did not notice this until they were almost finished and happened to glance over as the installer did it not once but twice. When they left I looked into all the returns they worked near and sure enough there were plywood and this grey cementlike dust and small "rocks" in the 3 registers they worked near. I stuck my vacuum down to try to suck out as much and I could and then tried to wipe them out with a wet rag, but I already had all this grey sandy dust all over the furniture, walls, counters, window sills, etc. I can just imaging what my family and I are breathing in. I am going to at the very least have to pay extra money to have my ducts cleaned. Hopefully it did not damage my furnace and hopefully there will be no health damage to us. They had a shopvac with them, so why they swept it in the air ducts is beyond me, but I seriously regret contracting Molyneux and will not be using them again.

They were highly professional and I would recommend them. The salesman, Bob Thomas, was fantastic and was able to explain everything very well.
